The only joining factor in the men I have dated is that they are all cripplingly shy, introverted and polite. This drives me mad sometimes because I'm quite an extroverted, lets just do it and damn the consequences- kinda person. I wish I could make myself fall for a diff kind of guy but it just doesn't happen. Loud, bosterous or extroverted men just do nothing for me, only the shy, polite ones will do.

Sooo.. Hi!

[sub]..Wait, damnit! Ireland!? Aw![/sub]

*Hems*

Typically females with a bit of edge and bite, but with enough emotion that they aren't complete bitches. Skanky girls get nothing from me, either. Too needy.

I have a very dominant personality so I have a tendency to attract submissive, quiet girls. This can be a mixed blessing, since so many of them seem to have major-league daddy issues or don't know the difference between being supportive and kissing my ass.

Mind you, I LIKE quiet, introverted, cute-rather-than-hot girls, especially if they, y'know, read books and play games and stuff. There's just a line between a cute, quiet, cuddle-and-talk-all-night girlfriend and "I feel like a child molester even though she's 25" that gets crossed a bit too often.

You know anyone?
I second that, as I'm also like that, but also because most of the people that I know aren't like that.
And that's the thing, girls do fall for me, but I was never interested on them, specially because they are not like this...

Although there is this girl who is like this, and I had fallen for her, but I guess she hasn't *sigh*

well... to be honest I dont really have a "type" of woman I fall for. Looking back to the women I have liked, they were quite different from each other, and I am currently in a relationship with a woman which is taller than me...though I didn't like taller women before.

*Asian guys: The cute ones are never interested in white girls, even if they grew up around them.

*Spirited red haired girls (race don;t matter, you just need to be a b*tch & have red hair): Don't want to date other spirited red haired girls.

*Submissive geeky mama's boys: Their mothers think I'm the devil incarnate, or at the very least a terrible influence, even though I'm also an adult & a geek who still lives with her mother. Yeah, so the mom usually poisons the son's opinion of me.

*Really funny guys: Anywhere from days to weeks, I am crowned "one of the guys" & anything closer feels akward for the both of us. Why spoil a good friendship?

*Guys with long hair: The attractive clean-shaven ones are childish macho playboys with short attention spans & the unshaven asymetrical ones usually end up being highly spiritual organic-lifestyle neo-hippies, or stoners.

Ideal guy: Long hair, funny, submissive attitude, reads comics, plays video games, maybe likes dominatrixes.

Hehehehe
Sorry the last line did it for me.
Personally, yeah long hair on guys is hot(but as you said the cleanshaven ones tend to be childish playboys)not sure about submissive attitude(somewhere inbetween would be ideal) and yea, must read etc.
In Norway, there are two kinds of boys with long hair: Metal fans and writers.

Funny story. A friend of a friend of mine once said that a little girl looked at him then asked her mother: "Mom, why does that girl have a beard". Cracked me up!
Haha,
Yea I recently was breifly seeing a metalhead with longer hair than mine, plus beard(Im into some metal) but he cheated on me.... so Im willing to give the writers a go if they're any better at being faithful. Pity Norway's a bit far from the UK.

I tend to fall for the people who are neither dominant or easily controlled, which makes it good. I've fallen for people with many different personalities, so I'm not really sure how I'd define that; some loud and seeming careless, others quiet and extremely polite.

Right now it's a sometimes loud, shy, caring, somewhat controlling, needy, understanding girl that I really care for a lot, the most I have for any other person (excluding family).

Smart blondes, smart redheads, or just smart.

Generally I'm attracted to smart and repelled from idiots (which seems like about 60-70% of girls... sorry, I know I'm being ignorant, or prejudiced, but whatever). If she's a redhead, I give her +10 points, blondes get +5.

Cute rather than hot. Intelligence. Also funny. BUT NOT MORE FUNNY THAN ME THAT'S GOING TO FAR DAMMIT.

I only really fall for people who i'm close to... there is one exception but he's, like, not in my league at all.

Doesn't matter what they're like or how they look, if they're nice to me I tend to fall for them...

But I only seem to attract people I don't like and end up hurting them a few days later because I start getting awkward in the relationship and break it off.

So it seems it's just flings and one-night-stands for me... joy! :/

Hard to say. A certain rare charm, really, a kind of charisma that I can't quite put my finger on. Sometimes it would be the quiet, confident man sitting under a tree, reading or writing or people watching. Sometimes it would be the one with quick wit and a devious nature running amok. Normality is boring. The unexpected and just plain odd appeal to me. Shared interests are obviously great, like video games, good films, and outdoorsy stuff, but with differences enough to be fascinating. You know, come to think, I never really had any crushes when I was single. I guess that's what I got for having nigh impossible standards.

But now I feel lucky to have the guy I do, who swings between both categories of charm. Dark red hair (yay!), musically inclined, loves games, is a chef, does outdoorsy stuff, acts goofy like a kid but works like a man, is energetic but has incredible depth in his downtime.

So, hoorah! :D

Someone who I feel meshes well with my personality. Someone who speaks her mind, and doesn't sugar coat the world that we live in. Someone who isn't afraid to share her feelings, but is also there to hear mine. Someone who is kind and fair to everyone she comes across.

Hell knows,
Like many here, I've got the problem with falling for the unavailable chicks (like, 100% unavailable). Had a lot of minor crushes and 3 major ones so far... the pattern is hard to describe. Maybe the universal qualities for them all are sexy looks, a really open personality, and a good sense of humor.

What I'd really fancy, is someone who has the abovementioned perks (except being unavailable obviously), enjoyed me for who I am, and liked and supported me in what I do.

Pillars

1. Sense of humor - This cannot be overstated, ends at date 1 if this is not there. I'm a silly man, need a bit of silly in a women.
2. Intelligent - Not necessarily a really smart (although do prefer university educated) but able to carry conversation and have sense, the clueless model is a real turn off.
3. Kindness - I don't respond well to cruel people in any respect, compounded in this kind of relationship.

Bonuses

1. Artistic
2. Nerdy
3. Red hair

Any girl that can put up with my obsession of playing my guitar.

I broke up with my last girlfriend because I chose to practice a bit longer rather than do the deed

Other than that I've noticed a trend of past girlfriends being shy, short, intelligent and artistic. Being a redhead doesn't hurt either, that usually gets my primal instincts going, which is something that my friends like to take the piss out of me for.

At the moment I'm just enjoying being single. Haven't been this happy and contempt in a while to be quite honest.

Glasses, definitely glasses, probably darker hair, short, medium weight, errr cute, the rest depends on her personality.

So, into similar things, caring, sweet, a little clingy but not too clingy, hmmm...
