Paranormal activity. I never struggled so much to finish a film. Awful story, worse execution, and the worst, most unlikeable characters I've ever seen. Of course, the entire internet was praising it into the heavens because it was "the best horror flick in the past few years". First off: it was most definitely not, and second even if it was, that doesn't mean anything. If I have a whole bunch of turds and one of them has a peanut in it, I'm not going to think "holy shit a peanut! This turd is amazingly delicious!". It's still a bloody turd. That's not to say PA even had a peanut in it to begin with, of course.

Aztec rex jesus christ that was bad and to be honest i don't think any mainstream films can be rated the worst film ever at least there visuals might make up for the lack of everything else (e.g Avatar blue people one)

Avatar (Na'vi) what bullshit. All I knew when I went to see it was humans were colonising a planet inhabited by sentient aliens and I was able to predict the whole alien love interest thing, the side swapping and the final showdown between the army officer and the protagonist. Also Goal 3. Where was Santiago, the main guy from the 2 previous films? Why were we supposed to care about those other guys? They should've just left it at 2 films, dammit.

The Wicker Man (1973).
You didn't like the original? Try watching the remake.
Not a chance. When one hears that a remake of a film that one considers the worst film that they have ever seen is much, much worse, it does not exactly make one want to watch it, if you know what I mean. :)
The remake is one of those "so bad its good" films. Nicholas Cage runs around in a bear suit high-kicking and punching a bunch of women in the face. No, seriously.

Neighbor.
The twist was horribly executed, the psycho main character didn't even have a background (Which was supposedly so that viewers could infer for themselves, but realistically it was because the script writer had never read anything before in his life) or reason to torture the people she picked (And she never went topless. I watched the entire film, hoping that at some point they would capitalize on having a hot chick as the psycho killer, but no such luck), the other main..."characters" were so badly written and acted that I was actually hoping for them to all be killed by about a quarter way into the movie.

The main guy in particular had a scene where he was supposed to convey that he was in a large amount of pain, but I felt like I was in more physical pain trying to watch him act than he would've been had the scene been real.

The gore was...passable for such a low-budget film, but only two scenes really made me cringe, one admittedly being main male character's above scene.

But going back to the twist, this film handled it in such a terrible way that I couldn't follow it, and I'm a long-time fan of movies such as Fight Club and Pandorum, which some people could consider the twists difficult to catch early on. But this...I don't recommend seeing it, even if you typically like "B"-grade horror/slasher films. It was basically "We have a hot girl. She's crazy. Let's put her in this surreal perfect suburb and watch what happens."

Troll 2, the movie that is honestly called the "worst movie ever" if you think I am lying, check out this "serious scene" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyophYBP_w4

The Room was bad but fun if you know all the moves. Titanic II was awful and irrelevant. The worst movie that I believe I've seen in a long line of terrible movies definitely goes to Ultrachrist.

Ultrachrist at least deserves a look to see just how terrible it is.

At the top of the list is probably Inconvenient Truth, I'm not one of those people who think that everything about global warming was made up, but this movie was just awful.

Fight Club, I don't really understand how this movie got so popular, it was just bad.

Shutter Island, sometimes I just get accusations that I didn't get it. I did get it, it was just stupid.

Repo Men, the only movie I can think of where the ending completely killed the movie for me. Most movies that have bad endings but the rest is good, I can forgive. But Repo Men just went too far with their ending.

Shaun of the Dead, see Fight Club.

Hmm... That actually sounds pretty entertaining. I think I have to check it out now. *adds to Netflix queue*

The American live-action Dragonball movie (Dragonball: Evolution, I think it was called?). It was like getting teeth pulled in a movie theater. It wasn't even "funny bad." It was just awful.
The sad part is that the orginal script was actually pretty good, and treated the source material with respect, but then it got tossed around between different production staff so much, it just fell apart...

I Still think theres potential for a good DBZ film (after all, they are good comic book films, and they aren't that much more ridoculous then DBZ), but I don't think it will ever happen: DBZ's popularity ended 10+ years ago, so unless it's just made for the fans, and not the profit, it's bleak.

The two movies that have disappointed me the most are Stephen King's "IT" and the original "Highlander" movie.
I've definitely seen worse movies ("Jason X" and stupid crap like that), but I'm pretty sure everyone expects that kind of film to suck. The other two disappointed me SO much, because I'd actually expected much more from them.
I know "IT" brought us Tim Curry's Pennywise, who is epic, and he does a great job indeed! But other than that, it mainly has horrible acting, slow pacing, no real horror and the worst ending in any film, ever!
"Highlander" was just a B-movie at best. Who thought it would be appropriate to cast a Frenchman as a Scot, a Scot as an Egyptian with a Spanish name, and a complete idiot with no acting talent as the main villain? I know the sequels are waaay worse, but the original is highly overrated in my opinion.

For a thread about the worst films they have seen, there are some excellent movies here: No Country For Old Men - Forest Gump - Fight Club and some others. Maybe they just haven't seen many movies.

This is not the worst movie I've seen but it does have a Star that people liked - The Order starring Heath Ledger. Just a boring movie.

Avatar (the one with blue catpeople, not the one with the bald kid), it looked good but the story was just shit.
It's true the story was eminently predictable and full of every kind of cliche and stereotype. But that's exactly what everyone should have expected. There was no way any studio was going to drop $750 million making a movie that asked people to think. To recoup their costs they needed something cut and dried. That way the masses could just stare at it, root for the "good guy," and walk away buzzing over how "awesome" it was.

Maybe Avatar 2 & 3 will be better, doubt it though.

...Really? Huh. Who'd'a thunk it. I knew a couple people involved with it were DBZ fans, but I am surprised that it was ever actually good.

I think that a good DBZ film is possible. Of course! Anything's possible! And DBZ has some fun material in it, no matter how much people make fun of its drawn-out battle sequences. Sadly, though, it'll never be made. Especially after the disaster that was Dragonball: Evolution.
