Cuba working fine under communism? How are you judging that? Because communism hasn't killed everyone yet? I don't believe I've ever heard any of these phrases in my life
"Hey how come our country isn't more like Cuba?"
"One day, if I save up my money, I can move to the dreamland that is Cuba!"
"I can't wait to hear what Cuba thinks on this new global crisis!"
"Hey, aren't you forgetting to factor in what the Cubans could do?"
"Yeah I agree, when I think of great civilizations, you have to start with Egypt, then the Greek City-States, the Roman Empire, and lastly, Cuba"
I will agree that communism certainly has failed at what it is intended to do. However, capitalism has not. America does not even have a free-market economy, it is a mixed economy so your last point is irrelevant. (You must not live in America, there are no people "not surviving". I'll let you know when I see my local news when someone starved to death or succumbed to the elements because of a lack of shelter).
Alright, if America is not a capitalistic country then no such country exists, so the term capitalism is irrelevant.
Also, I didn't mean not surviving, what I mean is that both systems don't work very well, and communism happened to fall first. Look at how much money the US government is throwing at their problems. BILLIONS an BILLIONS to bail out their country, and they will never get out of this debt. With banks everywhere dropping and companies letting off plenty of employees.
Honestly I can see another depression if this doesn't stop, because now that the US economy is down, it dragged more than Canada into a depression, it dragged most of the world.
