I just never could wrap my mind around those games. Just so many things that just seem...off.

New species being found all the time?!? Do you not have news stations on television, or anyway of keeping communication? Why do none of you have a car? Or a firearm? Did your tech advance as far a a pokedex and those weird pocket-dimension balls?

If it's so dangerous to go into the high grass, why does nobody ever mow it?

Seriously, how can they keep discovering new species all the time? people seem to incorporate them into everyday life, but are clueless that's there more than 10 of them out there.

I looked again. i still dont think it has eyes. it has 1 little circle 1 little square and a blue nut.

See the white circle with the black one in the middle? Clearly an eye, well 2 acctualy.

welol anyway they arent discovoring new species all the time it's just that in their world the "new" pokemon only live in a certain region and most places aren't connected all that much

I kind of wish they'd stop making new Pokemon, or just trim it down to the really good one's instead of pointlessly fluffing it out.
They're just making it harder for themselves to make the following games, they're spending time animating 650+ sprites when they could be adding more focus to the story and level design.

If you hate the art style so much, lets see YOUR Pokemon. Lets see what YOU can do with the franchise. Lets see how much better YOU can do. I dare you.

What would I have done? Well for starters, I wouldn't have released anymore "generations" of pokemon after the second gen. I would have worked with the 251 I had for a while. Possibly stick with fleshing out evolutions and creating a few dozen hybrids over the years. 151 was fine for a while, until I could name them all in my sleep. Second gen was a perfect addition and has my favorite pokemon, Umbreon! If I were in control of the franchise, we'd be at the 300 mark about now. The pokemon would have more detailed backstories for the anime and games to explore, and the cards have always had many variations of the same pokemon.

I could go on, but i'm sure no one wants to hear it.

Honestly, every generation after the second just rehashed the old pokemon, and even the second did so quite a bit. Now we have what, five different pokemon that are all pigey with different looks?!

Doduo -> Dodrio
Grimer -> Muk
Magnemite -> Magneton
Diglett -> Dugtrio

Horray for new pokemon! Also for a goddamn fire dragon. My only true complaint with this generation is that we can always do with evolutions from previous generations. Luvdisc, Farfetch'd ... grr.
