Well, there's a lot to say, there's a lot of new Poke'mon too. Some are realy cool and others are just flying turds. I wrote mainly about the turds while having a second window open to this link http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon.shtml. feel free to do the same and have a look at each one as I point them out it'll make more sense that way.
514 and 516 I don't feel they fit the art style of Poke'mon they look too goofy and almost as if they're from a different ?universe? entirely.
The new apparently obligatory 3 stage bird 519-21 looks cool but do we really need a new one of these guys each time? They all look pretty much the same to me.
The bat one 527-28 has the dual problem of not fitting with the art style, I feel it looks too goofy as well and it?s already been done, (zubat and friends).
532 and 533 just look pretty unoriginal and uninteresting, their evolved form is slightly better though.
The 2 karate masters at 538 and 539 don't fit the art style of poke?mon either, (I think it's the cloths(take that however you will)).
546 and 547 have a different problem of just being a completely non-descript puffball. 549 looks just like belossum.
551-53 I like and don't like, I think they fit in but I feel like they look too much like their real world inspiration, really they?re just a bunch of crocodiles, but again they are a step up from everything else I've mentioned so far.
556, didn't we already have a cactus?
558 original and fits the art style but just looks ridiculous?
561 I'm not sure what they were going for here.
562 same as 561 but it feels less like a creature and more a cave drawing come to life.
563 I'm going to say this a couple times, it just looks stupid making a Pokémon that looks like a man-made object.
I know I've been concentrating a lot on the Poke'mon I don't like out of this set but let me just say that the sea turtle guy 564 and 565 looks freaken awesome! (and is totally not a blastoise clone, he looks different enough for me).
568 and 569 are walking puddles of what the hell am I looking at?? So much so that I don't think they fit the style the same way grimer and muck did.
581, again, just like the crock guy, looks too much like it's real world counterpart and in this case not cartoony enough to fit in.
583 and 584 no? just no? at least the sarcophagus looked cool.
586 looks too much like a reindeer, and they do in fact exist, just in case you weren't sure. 587, do we need another pikachu?? Least this one can fly.
589 not sure if it fits the style but it looks really cool.
590 and 591why??
592 the ghost octopus guy looks cooler before it evolves.
594, lovedisk anyone?
599 to 601 just scream unoriginality, the first one is even named ?Gear?.
I'm not sure if 619 fits the art style but if it evolves into 520, well that one definitely does.
623 just doesn't fit the art style well enough I think.
626 I?ve said this often enough already, if you?re looking at the pictures while reading this you know what I'll say.
629 and 630 just look goofy with those extra egg shell bits and bones, but least it's not a buffalo with a fro?
647 and 648, I think I?ve seen these 2 before? suicune and selebi anyone? And that selebi looks too human?
I don?t actually intend to get the new Poke'mon game, I lost interest in it a while back, you can only play the same game so many times and each one is pretty much the same as the last, the only changes are cosmetic. I'd also like to say that 649 Poke'mon is getting ridiculous and it's no wonder that ideas are starting to stagnate and they?re having a hard time coming up with new, original creatures. Honestly I would be happier if most of the ones I?ve mentioned were cut out completely, lets see, that'd be 43 that I think shouldn't be in the game and honestly that leaves over 100 perfectly good ideas and some I think were REALY good. Though some of those 43 that shouldn't be there were unfortunate collateral damage who were un-evolved forms of those Poke'mon who really could not stand on their own. To put it more clearly the ones that shouldn?t be there are 513-516, 519-521, 527 528, 532 533, 538 539, 546-549, 588, 561 563, 568 569, 580-586, 590 591, 599-601, 519, 623, 626, 629 630, 647 648
