very high level of solar power usage (possibly highest in the world)
very large piece of the global high-tech market for its small size
very high life expectancy (3rd place in the world for men, 15th for women)
ability to overcome overwhelming obstacles since its creation
high level of social integration of groups of people from almost every race and color in the world
highly professional and capable army with an incredibly impressive track record
most media mentions for its size then anywhere else on earth
and thats just off the top of my head

lets see if anyone can guess where i'm from
United states/Russia. I want to say Europe but you said size. Perhaps Lithuania?
nope
believe it or not
israel
I loled at some of the "high level of social integration of groups of people from almost every race and color in the world"
pick a place on earth and you'll have people from there (other then maybe, antartica)
European, americans, russians, africans, arabs, near and far asians (much less of them though)
you'll find them all in Israel going to the same schools and working in many of the same jobs

America.
Honestly this is tough. I'd actually thought of joining military service, but not for my country. I need the money, and I care about my friends. If there was ever a threat to my home town, I would fight for it.
But that's it.
Everything here sucks.
Except McDonalds.
And the women.
He's right.
America is not that great, and I can't think of anything I'm proud of from it.
Oh well. I'm stuck with it, so I guess I'll have to think of something.
Ummmm.....I'll have to go with that we're right below Canada and no one else is.

We've got the best public school system in the entire world. Corruption levels near zero. And of course magnificent virtually untouched breathtaking wilderness, lots of it. I'm not sure if I'm proud of it, but we've got the highest number of swamps in the entire world.
(Finland)
EDIT:Oh yes, Finland was also the first country in the world to give all women the right to vote.

Mateship? Check

Oh yeah, an army of Flemish peasants and townsmen won an important battle against a heavily armored French army who tried to annex Flanders (the northern part of Belgium). Mainly because our people were driven by rage to fight for their rights and their freedom. The French weren't that involved and they fled as soon as they saw that their horsemen were pulled from their horses and killed instantly. No mercy, no prisoners.

Just look it up under the year 1302. It's called the Battle of the Golden Spurs.

I'm from American and as for this topic.....I'll have to get back to you on that. J/K I like being able to get stuff when it's first released. I also like being able to speak my mind without being persecuted. I also like not having to worry about suicide bombers when I sleep. Our military also owns.

America: First in Flight. No other nation can claim air travel as their birthright, except maybe Italy if you stretch it and unfocus your eyes hard enough...

I'm proud that freedom of speech, religion, opinion, sexual orientation, and so on, is so important to the majority of Sweden. We don't generally like being forced to be something we're not, or believe something we don't.

I'm very proud of our nature as well. Some places here are truly marvellous.
