Well FFVII was / is (if not the greatest) one of worlds best video game ever.
FFVIII was fairly good but I missed mana points.
FFX was nice and almost as good as VII.
After FFX I've not played new FF's because their composer Nobuo umatsu left. To put it other way Ueamtsu is as important to FF series as Bernard Herrmann was to Hitchcock.

What I learned, when you plan on releasing an ungodly number of sequels, don't call the game Final Fantasy unless one of them is actually going to be the "final" fantasty!

In the same way that a child will nearly always play with gift-wrap and boxes at Christmas; I always spend more time playing the minigames (Blitzball, Tetra Master...) that I will the rest of the game.

PLEASE SOMEONE READ THIS!!!! i only have FFX and FFX-2, love both, well, love ffx, tolerate ffx-2, but i liked FFX-2 tll i realised something........

INCEST IN FINAL FANTASY!

rikku is yuna's cousin rite? then so is brother...and brother wants to be the meat in Yuna's sandwich. this is why this game creeps me out. that and brother acts like a complete tit/noob in the entire game, i wud much like to shove him infront of vegnagun and tell shuyin to have at.

other than this creepy piece of incest, its a good game :)

FFX i love it, love it loveit love it! i actually at one point killed my own characters off whenfacing seymour and anima because they are too kick ass to kill, i wud much prefer auron slicing a new one into rikku, which khimari then tearing auron a new one, finally self destructing (thank you bomb). but the thing whcih annoyed me with this game is why the f' are they laughin? there is no joke yet they laugh.

im sure the makers were high at the time... still, produced a great game, loved the mumified chicken (anima) still my favourite aeon, and yojimbo can go screw himself, what aeon gets paid to fight? pfft nuts to that, if i wanted someone dressed in a curtain with a dog n a sword, i wudda rented kill bill and uploaded beatix kiddo onto it with wishbone (u no, that annoying dog that could talk)

well i have more thought but meh later, u guys will prob be bored by now lol then agen,we are FF players, we are made to endure cut scenes with japanese animation which looks nothing like the characters themselves

Enjoy :D

amazing. The two FF games advertised as "look at the new pretty graphics" are this person's favorite. Coincidence?

that anything undead, is killed by medicine.

FFX, the undead boss, I hit it with everyone then I fed it a phoenix down. easiest boss fight ever.

Am I the only person in the world who actually enjoyed FFX-2?
Yes.

Anyone who claims to like that game isn't actually a person, kind of like the Japanese.

I think not.

As any TRUE FF fanboy knows (yeah, I threw up a bit reading that too) FFVI was the zenith of the genre and has been in decline ever since. These youngin's today with their fancy shmancy polygons and effeminate protagonists. Bah I say! In MY day, we made due with SPRITES and we were DAMN well happy to have em! And we didn't need none of them silly minigames neither! The MAIN game was good enough for us, yessireebob! If we wanted to play a different game, we'd walk FIVE steps to the console and change the cartage! BAREFOOT! Both ways!

LOL. Very funny. Though I am serious, FF7 and X were both marketted with just showcasing the new power of the system for cutscenes. FF7 was essentially FF6's plot but to a less extreme extent content wise and FFX is possibly the most linear RPG ever.

And before someone says it, yes OoT is essentiallty LttP in 3D plot wise. Same with Starfox 64 with the original. Almost everything on N64 was a reimagining more than a sequal.

That constantly beating the sh*t out of a giant metal spider for 30mins does absolutely nothing, and then it gets shot about 4 times and dies.

If you're saying FFVI and VII have the same plot, because both are about an evil organization that's outdone in evilness by a less-than-sane member of said organization, then almost all FF's essentially are the same plot xD

Same basic plot yes every RPG has them basically. BuT FF6 and 7 were nerely identical in the events, not just backround. That and the whole materia espers thing was pretty similar as well. It was essentially the same thing just in a different setting.

Also...let's take a look at FF plots.

1) Garland uses time travel to rise an ancient beast
2) evil emperor tries to command hell itself
3) the balance of light and dark was messed up. Too much good can cause destruction as well. Your world is really just a floating continent.
4) well the remake is coming out and they say that they are bringing in the other 90% of the plot left out in the original so lets just wait for this one.
5) never played
6) evil empire destroyed by super soldier who becomes a god
7) evil electric company destroyed by shapeshifting alien and her son who is frozen in a crater for years. Now add in emo
8) time travelling witch does stuff
9) fake person tries to destroy other fake person and entire planets just to prove he's better
10) religion = bad
10-2) ghosts attack the world for revenge on their deaths
11) never played
tactics) never payed attention to the plot. Too busy losing cuz I suck at it
12) politics = bad
CC) evil creation is absorbing the memories of the people and poisoning the world
Tactics advanced) never played

Gravity=(13/15)x1^-3 And everyone has flying spells. Which means gravity is negative and people are flying negative, therefore gravity is redundant opposite and you weigh almost nil.

Basically, lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of stuff happens, and then you save the world.

Yeah. That game literally went on for months. Huge playability, mind; and the story wasn't half bad either.
