Whether or not it has been done before, what are some things that in your opinion should not be done in games?
These can range from stories, to gameplay elements, characters, weapons, etc...
This thread inspired by the most annoying buy concept ever, which exists in a couple of free to play downloadable games.
Purchasing ingame items (for ingame cash) that last a set amount of time.
What a shitty concept! You pay your hard-earned ingame dollars for something that's going to eventually disappear! The more you pay, the longer you can keep the item (and of course buying in bulk is always cheaper in the long-shot) but it's still a very annoying concept. It's too bad that I'm attatched to the certain game with this annoying mechanic, otherwise I would have forgotton about it by now...
The worst part is, when I'm low on money, I have to buy said upgrades for one day (24 hours), play all afternoon, and then the next day it would disappear the exact moment I got home from school, since that was when I bought it the previous day.
How frustrating is that?
So yer, where are your opinions?
