I can think of a few things.

- Videogames
- Being a PC gamer
- My musical tastes (I like everything from AC/DC to Frank Sinatra to Phil Collins to Celine Dion. Classic rock, jazz/swing and easy listening is tops in my book.)
- Not being a fan of drinking/smoking

Although it can almost be considered a guilty pleasure I enjoy playing dungeons and dragons a lot however I don't want to tell too many people that because I don't want them to think I'm a douchebag.
Douchebag-Urban dictrionary.

The scientific name for schmucks who roll up in public wearing wife-beaters or oversized jeans. Can also be found wearing sunglasses in nightclubs and/or sun-visors on backwards and upside down. These people should be drug outside and shot in the stomach, then used as speed bumps to prevent any neon-toting lowrider crap-mobiles from infesting the neighborhood and lowering property values.

...
Playing D&D makes you a such as mentioned above, just how? :/

You know that's a good point. Anyone around Mid-Michigan wanna play 4th edition?

OT: I also enjoyed the twilight books now that I think about it, the movies tho...not so much.

Final Fantasy and Dragon Ball Z.
how can they not love Dragon Ball Z? everyone watched that when they grew up. even now it's still just as awesome, and having grown up, can appreciate it more than just for the fact that these people could fly and shoot lasers out of their hands and mouths(imma firin meh lazar, who doesn't know this shit?). and everyone knew the kamahamaha-wave, that was the most remembered move. you're friends are obviously crazy.

Yay Converge! Jane Doe is a very good album.

Now, as for mine, I have had people call me idiotic, retarded, say I have terrible taste in films, that I have no concept of what makes a good film (ironically, I review films semi-regularly for a national newspaper, so ha!), and that I'm a sycophantic, corporate whore.

Why?

Because I genuinely enjoyed the film Avatar. I feel no reason to justify this, I thought it was a good film and 3 hours and 8 quid well spent. Apparently, this makes me a moron, especially when I say that I preferred it to the Hurt Locker, which has made one person refuse to talk to me anymore.
Because god forbid you start to have preferences! I really enjoyed Avatar too, though I only saw it at a friend's house in blu-ray. It's a little predictable but still a solid movie and I can see why so many people liked it.

Michael Jackson's music. I can't say I like all of it, or go out of my way to find more of it, but I like it.

People at school think I'm weird for loving Halo, and not owning or liking MW2. I also have been made fun of for liking Pokemon. Oh, and being educated on video games.

...what? That movie was awful. I mean, I wasn't even a big fan of Avatar (as you already know) but I definitely preferred it to The Hurt Locker.

OT, I can't really think of a time when people insult me for liking something.

I enjoy several bands with female lead or co-lead singers. Bands such as Evanescence, Flyleaf, Skillet, etc. Occasionally my friends make fun of me for it.

Well, one of my friends had said that I was retarded because I preferred The Shawshank Redemption and Schindler's List to Transformers 2.

Strangely enough, nothing. If given the chance I'd probably be ripped on for playing WoW... To be fair, the only reason people don't get the chance is that I keep it a secret.

In my opinion 2001 a space odyssey is one of the best movies ever made :D

I get made fun of for my long hair, my religion [small](why must the Jews get a shit ton of flack?)[/small], my nerdiness [small](not too often anymore, though)[/small],[footnote]Whoops, misread the title. :p[/footnote] liking Weezer, liking some parts of Linkin Park [small](but I can understand that)[/small], liking Nintendo and the Wii, and liking the Homestar Runner cartoons.

And yet, I still go through life a happy man. :D

Video games, knowing how to work a computer, correcting people's logic (though I guess that's just a dick move on my behalf), all of my music taste (different people insult different parts of my musical taste), and anything but Macs. Occasionally even my gamer friends will insult me for liking WoW or pretty much any Nintendo game (even Mario and Zelda games! They're just clueless I suppose).

Well, apparently because it's won 6 Oscars, and we all know that the Academy Awards Committee is the pinnacle of non-biased, totally objective judging, it's somehow sacred.

Urgh. I hate people who take Oscars seriously.
Ah yes, of course because everything that wins an Oscar instantly means it's the perfect movie and isn't based around politics, what's popular at the time and when your due is up.

Seriously, the only reason The Hurt Locker won is because they felt obligated to give a female director the Oscar because it's never happened before and the Academy absolutely despises Cameron.

Just look at Slumdog Millionaire. I still can't understand why that movie got the Oscar.

That and how they gave Sandra Bullock "Best Actress" completely disregards them as a legitimate source for what's good in film

See? My dad says I'll hate it in thirty years, but I don't know how true that is.

I actually keep quite about liking Lady Ga Ga because of the huge hate she gets at School
