Magic the Gathering.

F**k Yugioh.

EDIT: I'm very surprised people don't make fun of me for being a fencer. Apparently it's more intimidating than it is nerdy.

Any music older than 30 years. Side effect of being in what is possibly THE most backasswards, retarded country in the world. I should apparently be ashamed of myself for liking Queen, The Beatles, David Bowie, etc.

And Dungeons and Dragons. God, the hate I get for liking D&D.

They wouldn't laugh if you gave them a joint and put on Pink Floyd's 'Echoes' at the starting of 'Jupiter and the Infinite'. That makes the long shots of stuff floating in space AMAZING. Although I'm not a huge fan of 2001, I have to say that Bowman's time trapped in the pocket universe is one of the most well-shot and paced scenes ever.

I get ripped on a lot by my friends for my political views, I'm a libertarian with an Objectivist leaning, most of my friends are leftists who are disgusted by the fact that I'm 'selfish' and that I believe the sacrificing yourself for the greater good is insane. Of course, I have a hilarious time answering their questions:

"Don't you feel that you should support those that can't support themselves?"
"I don't feel in politics, I think."
*Cue socialist rage*

Well, one of my friends had said that I was retarded because I preferred The Shawshank Redemption and Schindler's List to Transformers 2.
God forbid you actually wanted to think and feel while watching a movie, eh?

People at first glance generally think I'm a Hipster, and dislike me because of it.

So I dye my hair and like The Cribs, you shave your head and greatly enjoy Coldplay, I don't judge do I? As well as smoking, psychologically analyzing strangers, and staring at people on trains to see their reactions.

Also for having sex with men. I like that, people don't like me liking that.

You're right, they wouldn't laugh.

They'd yell at me for possession of illegal drugs. And then they'd tell me to pass my leaner's permit test. *sigh*

On that note, I'm also incredibly scared of having to drive. I don't like cars, and some people think I'm weird for being so freaked out by them.

OT: IRL, nothing, as all my friends are as nerdy or nerdier than myself. On the internet, Halo, Halo, mother-fucking Halo. I may not be directly insulted for it that often, but I consider people generalizing Halo fans as "idiot frat-boys" and "pre-pubescent 12 year old boys" as an insult, as I am neither. Let me enjoy my "dumbed down console-fag FPS", thank you very much.

Pokémon.

Yes, that's right, Pokémon. No matter where I go, it seems that everyone hates me for carrying around a copy of HeartGold and wearing a shirt with the Charmander evolutionary line on the front. I'm aware that there must be a largeish group of people out there who share my raging stiffie for great liking of Pokémon, or else they wouldn't be coming out with yet another generation. But I've never seen these people, and if they've seen me, they certainly never made themselves known.

One Piece, and the Pokemon game series by SOME. Many at my school are a fan of the series, so there is only the other half.

Prefeering Godfather 2 to both the original and Shawshank Redemption. Apparently preferences and opinions can be wrong.

"OMG U DEVIL WORSHIPR JUSTIN BIEBR IS BETR"
That^

And videogames. Saying "HOLYSHITPORTAL2ATE3" got a large barrage of "Oh my god, you're looking forward to a game that comes out NEXT YEAR. Oh my god, who gives a damn? Anyway, the music I listen to. I'm a big fan of Slipknot (Rip #2) so all the other music I listen to everybody says it's ALL SCREAMING. That annoys me alot, yeah, Muse and Radiohead and Placebo are screamo? Absolutely.

80s disco is probably a biggy for me especially Dan Hartman. Friends, family, teachers, even people I don?t know take the piss. I find it funny though because they are taking the piss in a genre of music that was one of the most popular and is incredibly good. Disco was basically pop music as it was quite popular with the charts. But anyways whenever they can the play disco music loud, all I do is bob my head and enjoy the music as they take turns in laughing.

But remember people Karma?s a *****.

Lessee, things I do. Video games, especially RPGs, Pokemon (I loathe the way the franchise is going, but I think the idea had potential), Touhou and shooters (the last one apparently makes me psychotic, yay). Reading. Writing. Taking walks rather frequently. Listening to classical and video game music. Playing tabletop RPGs. Not wanting to spend money on anything that would actually be for me. Cooking, cleaning and generally doing stuff around the house (not that I actually have a choice about this) because apparently I'm entirely too soft for doing that sort of thing. Drawing, every once in a while. Keeping pets - specifically, a cat and a lizard, the latter getting most of the flak. Actually enjoying studying history.

Things I don't do: Watching television shows, anime or films. I watch the odd documentary or (about once or twice a year) a film. That's it. Disliking almost all popular music (not trying to look unique by listening to obscure stuff, it's just not to my taste). Complete unfamiliarity with pop culture. Refusal to use anything in the way of slang and so on. Couple other things I don't recall at the moment. Oh, and not talking to people much, since I'm something of an introvert.

As you may expect, I'm mocked rather often. Not that I mind, but it's a wonder people find the time to say anything else.

Edit: Another post here reminded me of something. Card games, mostly MtG. Not supposed to like them, apparently. Similarly, being Jewish is just unacceptable.

I get a lot of stick for some of the bands I like because they would never be heard on the radio because they are too offensive or don't appeal to the masses enough.

I also get a lot of stick for liking Disney music which I have never understood
