My best friend has blood-red contacts, is a cosplayer and recently dyed her hair to match her contacts. She used to get made fun of occasionally, but it would always annoy me more than it would bother her. ^^;; High-school-aged people are still trying to find their places in the world, so they tend to be way more insecure and hostile towards nonconformists. I'm optomistic things will get better in the real world. (Best friend has people stopping traffic to yell about how awesome her hair is out their car windows.) =)

I'm also a cosplayer, though I don't necessarily advertise it (recently >>;;), but my most striking physical feature is that I'm a girl and I'm 5'11"--as tall as, and taller than most guys, including adults in my school while still being rediculously wimpy. It wouldn't be so embarassing if my social skills weren't as weak as my body. I have anxiety attacks when talking to strangers and laugh hysterically and nearly break down into tears when attempting small talk. Everything's great with my fellow anime/game-loving-compadre's, but I don't deal too well with anyone my age.

As a shy person, I hate it when people superimpose personality traits on me. My nervous laughter and generally anti-social behavior tends to label me a psychotic nerd. Even my mom doesn't believe I have friends and chastises me for it daily.

Also, the church thing in the OP makes me sad. I'm sure my church would love to have someone with sweet eyes! Religious bigotry makes us real Christians sad.

People always call me a nazi, sure i look the part and my name is even Hans, but i dont even act remotely like a nazi. Even friends find it fun to say it every now and then.

I'm also the only person in my group of friends that has divorced parents, my mom just kind of took off when i was a kid, so i usually have to deal with people saying she is a hooker, or a stripper somewhere. I'm also a bit awkward around people i don't know well so that leads to me mostly being quiet in school, and people think I'm weird because of that.

There is also the being a poor kid in a predominantly rich kid area, it's weird how people like to mock you for not being like them.

On top of that I'm pretty close to normal, sure i have a few weird tendencies like playing with my hair, that is apparently some disgusting thing to most people.

It's really not fair to be ousted for things you cant even control, i don't know how people that do that can live with themselves knowing they do that.

I'm not sure if 4chan would worship you as a god or mock the shit out of you, but I'm guessing the former.
I laughed so hard that I had to stop and catch my breath for a while.

But yeah, your eye situation is super cool. If I was your boyfriend, I'd be staring at you a lot longer than considered normal (in a "fucking hell, this is so awesome" sort of way, not a "you're freaking me out" sort of way).

Unfortunately I don't have an equally unique story to tell, I've just always been a bit overweight, not a lot, about 20kg's more than I should be, but that was enough to render me socially unacceptable by both sexes while in school and turn me into a loner, a bookworm and a wannabe writer (that one still persists). In college the male population did not seem to care anymore and I made some good friends which have lasted long and seem to enjoy my company. The ladies also seem to enjoy my company very much, as long as, God forbid, no sex is involved, because that would be gross since my belly muscles are not shaped like a radiator.

You really shouldn't worry about any of that stuff to be honest. The world is 90% assholes, and if you are not being made fun of, it's likely that you're turning into one of them.

TBH if the church banned your parents because of your eye color you're lucky you got away from that place. That's just pure stupidity (the church)

I'm sorry you've had a hard time. I've never seen someone with red eye, before, but i actually think it's kinda cool
I totally agree with you man, thats pretty disguisting and i don't think its even legal for them do that.

Ive just generally been the weird kid cos i was the only kid in primary school with long hair (I was called mullet man, which was stupid, i didn't have a mullet, just long hair) conformity really sucks.

Forget fitting in. Being a sheep is no fun, although having someone to talk to now and again might be nice.

I stand at 6'6" and people say my eye color changes based on the size of my pupils. If they're wide open, my eyes are blue, otherwise they're hazel. I also apparently give off this creepy vibe to most people, but generally the people who choose to interact with me seem at least on the level.

Well, since some of my friends already think I'm the son of the devil (Long story... good story ^^) Red eyes would be pretty hilarious for me. But if people in your school want to be assholes that's their problem. If you act like you don't care they'll eventually get bored.

One thing I don't understand, you chose for to have one lens with a different color? Doesn't that make you look even weirder? (no offense!)

People often regard me (and paticularly my group of friends) as the wierd group. I myself have ginger hair which earns me much criticism however living for 17 years with it starts to make you not care anyway. People who don't know me often see me as being overly hostile and while it doesn't stop me from making friends, it often sets a bad first impression which can be hard to alter. People have mocked me for various aspects of my lifestyle for as long as I can remember but I think what drives people to try and upset me is that they struggle to find anything that irritates me to the point of making me react. My advice to the OP is to try and show the people that make fun of you for your eyes that you like the way they are and that you really don't care what they think. As for the family situation I honestly don't know what you could do about that.

Well, I was the weird kid for the longest time in highschool.
Still can't quite put my finger on what it really is that made me so different, I guess spending too much time playing videogames just isn't good for you.
Even back in late basic school I noticed that I wasn't exactly into the same things everyone else was, but nobody cared and everyone got along okay so I never worried.

But it was a lot worse in Highschool, mostly because the people there were dumb braindead morons. Problem is, Highschool itself is probably the most boring activity ever devised by mankind and I didn't want to turn into one of those dudes that spent their lunchbreak alone every day.
So in those 4 years I drifted around various clique's where basically everyone made fun of me to some extent and nobody actually cared about me, or any else for that matter.

Later I realized that it was also largely my own fault for never standing up for myself.
We all know how highschool kids are, always fighting each other trying to see who's strongest.
I, on the other hand just thought it was stupid and childish.
I couldn't stand the fact that 90% of the people in my school behaved like they needed to go back to basic school.
Too bad for me those guys didn't want to keep their dumb games to themselves either, they just had to try and involve as many people as they could.
So when they "tried me out" I didn't do anything back. I thought it would only bore them so they'd move on but apparently someone not fighting back makes a fight a lot more fun.

Not saying that I ever really got beat up or anything. I just happened to receive this reputation of not being able to put up a fight, mostly because I never did until 2 years later or so.
Something so simple really screwed up my highschool life, though, because all the "cool kids" were basically 1 major group. So they just picked on everyone they all looked down on collectively.
Good thing I realized long before that I was actually far above THEM.

It's more fun when you see THE biggest dickhead of them all at the same school where you went to after Highschool, but he doesn't dare look you in the eye like he used to when he was with his "homies"......and even better when you actually DONT see him around there anymore roughly 3 months after the start of the first year. :D Can't imagine any of his mates getting much further.

To the OP:
Don't let anything ANYONE says get you down.
If there's one thing I've learned in highschool it's that these kids are basically like a game of dominoes, or a meme on a forum.
A few people start with something, like calling a particular person names. The rest notices "Hey! Those guys have found a way to fill up their boring, meaningless lives! Let's act like them!"......Or something like that.....You get the picture....I hope.
But yeah, I'm also pretty curious what your eyes look like. :)

I am double jointed, socially inept, and I control the right side of my body with my right brain, resulting in generally poor gross physical coordination. It actually worked for me being a weirdo, only I didn't realize it until it was way too late.
That's absolutely fascinating, You do you control your left side with your right side of your brain or vice a versa?
