Yeah, there's something wrong with some of the self-called 'conservatives'. Also, Conservapedia sort of destroys my faith in humanity is a laughable way (for example, apparently, Obama is a muslim).

You are welcome to your sympathies. Someone was in the mood to get themselves worked up over a figment of their imagination. Socialism isn't even a vogue cultural boogyman any more. These days it is far more fashionable to call something "terrorist linked."
The argument about 'national socialism' and 'real socialism' is somewhat moot as 'real socialism' to my knowledge, has never existed. What we have seen as a stable political realization is democratic socialism, which is popular in many regions of Europe.
