Yes, yes it would. But everyone's expectations will be so low, that it will of course surprise people in certain aspects. Just like how everyone kept putting very high expectations on the Halo games and they only bombed more and more because it didn't live up to the majorly high expectations.

The Anti-Halo Effect, eh? Now that would be a pleasant surprise. Sure beats the [Insert Bad Game of Choice] Effect. Like Too Human Syndrome.

I think with Devil May Cry 4, the presentation and transitions came off as dated for the current technological capacities for games now. I can't quite put my finger on what specifically it was, but I hope they can nail whatever was holding back the potential.

Actually, I thought the PS3 version graphics were pretty good. Especially against the 360 version (I have both). And I played better on PS3 because the others were on PS2, making the controls very much the same.

How old are you? This is an honest question based mostly around, depending on your age, my Sonic 4 may be your Sonic Adventure 3. (I want both!)

Too bad there is no Sonic Adventure Three... yet.

Umm, 19 o-O 20 in a month...And I've played/owned all of the Sonic games in the series so far (except for '06, which I have only played for a few days)

I just feel Sonic 4 is taking a step backwards with this franchise, Sonic Unleashed's day stages had a perfect balance of speed, fun, and challenges, which pretty much mixed the old games and the newer ones together, so I'd rather have a game based on that, than anything else...

Though back on topic, I really did want DMC5 instead of this..DmC...=/ I was hoping it would continue the story after 4 with Dante and Nero, or it could be a super far back prequel, and had been an origin story for Sparda, explaining him, his rebellion against Mundus, and the birth of the twins and etc.

It was one theory. I guess I just played Sonic a little too much as a kid... Yes. Yes I did. I need to play Unleashed. I heard the day stages were actually really good.

That super-prequel idea is great. I would definitely buy a game starring Sparda. How would they start the game though? DMC always opens with the "years ago Sparda came and kicked all the demons out of Earth" spiel. It would be neat to start out with a reversal. Evil Sparda coming to conquer Earth and his story at the beginning.

Well, it could STILL start that way:

"Many years ago, a demon named Sparda had blah blah blah and did blah blah blah... this is his story."

I also realized that most people didn't notice DMC4 was on Xbox... I was reading about the controversy of DmC, and it said "The game will be released on both platforms, instead of being playstation exclusive like the other games in the series."

I found myself talking to some friends the other day about DMC actually. Then one of them said, "man, too bad I only have a 360. Otherwise I'd totally buy Devil May Cry 4."
I get up, go inside, pick up my copy (we were talking in my backyard), and take it to him.
Blew. His. Mind.
I didn't let him borrow it though. Never again.

Bahahah. Someone that oblivious does not deserve to borrow such a sacred game series xD

I am happy though. My DMC managas are coming in the mail tomorrow... I let a friend borrow all mine and I never got them back... that was two or three years ago...

Reminds me of when I lent out my copy of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence...
I still miss that game...

I, myself, was never a MGS fan. It may be the stealthy bits. (I can't sneak. I love running out in the open and wrecking balls with any weapons I can find.)

I take it you're going to get Duke Nukem Forever then?
I really like that reaction guys comic. It was great. In also like how Dante seems to have summoned his gun at the sight of ... not-Dante.

Nah. Never played Duke Nukem. My game choice is... odd. I play random variations, not just a set genre or style, y'know? I know that isn't rare, but still.

I saw previews and whatnot and gameplay. My top 3 anticipated games right now are DmC, inFamous 2, and Force Unleashed 2.

I also thought the graphics were well done. It was more the transitions between battles, cutscenes, and the flow of the game. I can't really explain it too easily, but the overall impression I got was like a graphical update to an older game or game engine.

Ahh, yes. I understand, I do. But the cutscenes, most times, were the best parts of the games for me. Mostly because you only needed the cutscenes to know the story.
