Where the hell do you find the motivation?

It is so much easier to go home, lie down, and beat the crap out of people (who invariably only use forest Griffin) on X box live UFC unleashed.

i am really trying to start working out. I'm getting a gut on me and I am not happy with it. However, I felt the exact same way about 6 months ago and here we are... again...

So how do you do it? Do you motivate yourself with crap you cannot have? Like a smokin hot chick or something? Inner peace? World Peace?

Before it is suggested - Working out on my own, as in at my house, or running around the neighborhood is just plain old NOT an option. i just won't do it.

WHAT do you do!!!? I NEED to know!!! Please help. Save me from heart disease and awkward sex with fellow Fatty McFatFats.

After you fall into a rhythm, it really doesn't bother you anymore. Just force yourself to go for a week straight, and after a while, it will just become part of your average everyday schedule.

It helps keep my sleep schedule regular, and let's not forget the most important factor, it's free (if you do it at home/out rather than the gym)

Done.
Normally I work out when I feel particularly fat and lazy, which doesnt happen often. I lead a pretty active lifestyle, but then again I have to. I live in Alaska where one simply cannot enjoy the state to its fullest if one is fat.

1 minute of exercising is better then 1 hour of thinking about exercising

Don't know why I said that...Interpret it as you will^^

Anyways, I just...do it I guess? I find it enjoying actually. I guess why people don't is because they don't see it as something that's important. To me though, it's like eating.
When I feel like eating, I eat. When I feel like working out, I work out. If you say that you don't have time, don't you have time to eat? Because that could create some problems;)
I like trying new stuff as well I guess. Trying different ways to work out is awesome! Trying new food is awesome! Trying new video games is awesome!

Meh, enough with my random bullshit with no point^^ Eh, just try to do something you enjoy I guess. If you don't enjoy it you're gonna stop after a while anyways I think. So I think you gotta find out the pleasure of working out.

It took me forever to get the motivation to work out, but once I did, the endorphins released from physical activity feel damn good. My energy level's up, and I generally just like the feeling of it. I'm not hardcore about it, but working out a few times a week feels good. Yeah, there are days I go home, flop on the couch and play games, but those few times a weeek to work out feels good, and I'm more upbeat, too. Plus, it's a good wway to work out some aggression built up ffrom the day.

If you spent half the time you spent gaming doing exercise you have a body like this:

Thats my motivation. That and a girl in after has a perfect body and I dont. I figure, if I dont get her I can still reap the other benefits.

I think about how id probably look better with abs and then I do it. Its not hard really. I have too much free time anyways and I feel really lazy if some of it isnt used to better myself in some way. Even if it is a small one.

I really don't know...
Between my hormone-producing tumor and the pills I take for it, I've only gained this year.
So much Estrogen, so much prolactin, so much progesterone... ;-;
Also, dispite the fact that we eat well, work out regularly and generally take better care of ourselves than most people, my family just is heavier than the recommended BMI. I just want to get back to 150... ;-;

I feel angsty now. Great.

In general though, the hard part's getting there. If you want things easy, just go to the gym with your handheld system and pedal the bike 'till you reach your goal of calories burned that day. For weight loss, its about 500 calories, along with eating 500 calories less. For maintenence, its eating your typical intake, and burning about 300 calories.
Looking at charts like this: http://www.shapefit.com/dailycalorie-calc.html
The pounds should be just falling away.

Lies, I say!
Each body is unique, and the best prescription to stay fit is just get sweaty and active for an hour a day, at least.

I'm not sure, because I appear to have lost the motivation yet again.
I guess..Comparing yourself to others helps.
But if you're going to exercise, do it consistently. Muscle can turn back into fat and make the situation a whole lot worse.
And try to keep away from beer.

The hardest part of working out is generaly without a bloody doubt starting, are you really wanting to do it? The health beenfits are numerous and obvious no point going into that and excersise can give you a very good endorphin rush and feeling of accomplishment. Personaly I use a very bad motivator, money I spend roughly £38 per month on my gym membership which from my unemployment beenfit is around 1/4 of what I have to live on per month. But thtas a really bad idea, sort a solid routine, wake up at x hour, go for x minutes, go to sleep at x hour a good schedule can really keep you going. Barring that I enjoy the improvments slow as they are I definetly have gotten stronger and more defined I feel better for it but yeah you need to accept the fact that it is really hard work and if your out of shape start bloody slowly no point doing 30-40 minutes straight if you cant handle it take breaks, and realise it will take months before any noticable differance.

But seriously stick with it you will not regret it.

Routine is definately helpful. Also I like to motivate myself by taking part in fundraising events, for example in November I'm running a half marathon for charity and keeping that in mind helps me to keep training. Really though the only thing that will keep you working out is really wanting to.

I roar. No seriously stare in a mirror and roar, get your blood pumping and then run to the gym/field/bedroom wherever and start pumping, or a more normal approach would be to get a friend to work out with so you can both encourage each other.

Do it with friends, or just do it for the ladies xD

I just go to the gym when teachers are absent at school :)
