Yeah but Creed had the decency to pack it in, lose the singer and form a good band.Dags90 said:I don't know, Creed gives them a run for their money. If only we could make some sort of NickleCreed hybrid.DeadSp8s said:Who really cares? The Beatles aren't the greatest band of all time either, the best band ever is Nickelback.

At least there was amazing stuff back in the 60's, 70's, 80's & little in the 90's.Bags159 said:I'm sure there was no bad music "back in the day". Ever. I really hope you're joking, but in case you're not...kman123 said:The Beatles are shit. Period.
Also, most modern pop/rock singers. Except Taylor Swift. She is awesome.

As someone who likes her music and is just as intrigued by her popularity I agree. her music isnt particularly amazing but her image does a lot (although i think the music videos are awesome)k-ossuburb said:snip

Apparently they're really big in Japan at the moment.
There was also alot of crap.Nazulu said:Yeah, today's stuff is way over-rated, Lady Gaga is good but not that good. However, I believe Eminem and Tool are pretty special, the last of the big names that really meant something.

yeah im guessing ur refering to triple j which is amazing. i really think australians and the uk are the ones paying most attention to the new music vibe thats coming through. anyway listen to stuff published by turbo recordings its literally all good if you like dancy stuff.B-Lavaunit said:I listen to the alternative radio station here in Australia, so i have heard all of those songs.bader0 said:there is you just dont know about it. im going to start throwing out artists that i consider to be the best in their genre with a song i consider to be the best of theirs if you dislike everything i post thats cool this is heavily based on my opinion, however i have a feeling most of these will be artists you havent heard of.Redlin5 said:I really, really hate all of Kesha's music. And also, that Skrillex song, along with the bloody beetroots totally made me rethink my opinion of dance music recently, which i had already rethought and then un-rethought before...if that makes sense
As much as it seems like it it's not a new trend. It is just that after the years go by all the music that wasn't standing out get's left behind. Who knows how many songs there are from when you were younger that got completely washed away but in, lets say 30 years time, all of the songs that sound a like will be thrown away. Do you really think that "Friday" is going to be played more than 6 months from now? And I doubt Ke -Dollar sign- Ha will be anything more than a faded memory 30 years from now. In the end no matter how much you remember your old music as all great and amazing you always forget that there was some REALLY shitty music back then too.TheRevanchist said:I feel bad for today's youth. Really, TISM...i thought only Australians would listen to them.JacobShaftoe said:TISM. For a band that sell so many damn albums and considering all the kids can't shut up about them, they're such arty hoity toity frikkin wankers, no time for em at all.
