I know that its not the same pronunciation of what they used, no one really knows hows to say it in its Greek name. But its the closest thing we can say and its meaning is the same as gods name. Why I want to know is how they can take something out of the bible that was in the bible hundreds of times and just play like it wasn't there.I mean if someone from a different country can't say my name I get a foreign name, like how do you say someone else s name in a foreign language.

On the subject of skyboxes OP. Have you seen them in Homefront? They look like low-res JPEGs :S

OT: What is the difference between a Duck?
One of it's legs is both the same.

Great joke that NOBODY gets. I guess most people I tell it to don't know what a duck looks like.

OT: The flying spaghetti monster

Hmmmm. There really isn't anything I can think of that really deserves not having a thread. But the endless "I need help", "Am I the only one" and "the last X you did is now your Y" threads.
Ah, ninja'd for the umpteenth time!

OT I guess I'll think of a new one(and to think I'm a brony): Pony threads! Every-time a pony thread is made, it spells SUSPENSIONS AHOY or FLAME WAR THREAD and it leads to unnecessary suspensions or bans

Ok. This seems like fun.

1. Some of us who hate on CoD aren't hating on it because we're fanboys or we think we're clever. Some us just don't enjoy playing the game.

2. Why is Half Life 2: Episode 1 not called Half Life 3: Episode 1, considering there a;ready was a Half Life 2?

3. Gun was a really good game. You should play it.

4. If I were to make a My Little Pony thread about discussing an episode, would it anger you?

5. I like the rain. It is very soothing and relaxing.

6. Is Canada a nice place to live? Nowhere in particular, just the country in general.

Well that about covers it.

If you like rain, Vancouver is pretty much the Seattle of Canada.

I've always wanted to poll and see how many people have attached earlobes vs. unattached.

Guilty Crown isn't living up to expectations, but I'm still finding enjoyable although everyone else is really disappointed.

I also happened to think Blood C wasn't that bad although everyone says it's like the worst thing of all time ever.

I watched AKIRA for the first time yesterday. Good stuff. Weird, but good. I've been taking baby steps into the world of Anime for around a year, and I have yet to step on any substantial landmines. So that's nice. But does anyone have some ideas of what I should watch next?

I've never been sure about this... Which is 12AM and which is 12PM? As in which is midday and which is midnight?
12PM is midday, 12AM is midnight.

It's easy to remember if you think about it this way: Would 12:01PM be in the day, or the night?
Ah thanks. That sorts that out then. Now I feel like slightly less of a moron.

Ghost in the Shell is another very influential cyberpunk anime like Akira. It's another one of those animes you have to watch if you are a fan. It's pretty good. It deals a lot with the future relationship humans will have with robots and A.I, and a lot of the plot focuses around the idea of the singularity and how far A.I can go and still be called "artificial". But I personally found the plot was a bit confusing and complicated and it only really started to make sense in the last 20 minutes or so. But it's still well worth a watch and probably lends itself well to the style of Akira.

"so I just [insert mundane]"
HATE it, I cannot express how much. I've actually closed the browser tab for more than one thread starting "So..."

Also, piracy threads. Escapists would get bans or warnings for admitting to doing it, therefore it is impossible to debate here. These threads should be banned.

Wow, what a rant. Sorry folks

TL;DR Aim assist is the bane of immersion and I hate ever developer that makes it permanent.
Aim assist has never bothered me, since I never knew it existed until I saw somebody mention it on here a year back.

I still doesn't bother me because I have never noticed it in action. I guess that is what being incredibly into the action of a game does, it masks the noticing of any possible slight movement of the aiming reticle.

On the RPG thing: Whatever floats your boat. I like both linear and non-linear. I've played and like most game types and genres.

But to me, your immersion point makes no sense. The reason most RPGs are non-linear, is because it is the best way to achieve immersion because it gives the player a whole world to sink into and be wrapped up in. The Elders Scrolls games like Skyrim wouldn't really work all that well, because the open and picturesque world is what makes the game, the lore and the stories of the Elder Scrolls games wouldn't work if it didn't have those great non-linear worlds.

Besides, the reason such RPGs are set up in the ways you don't like, it is how most RPG players want their RPGs to be. They don't want to be told exactly where to go and what to do, they want to play the game and experience it on their terms.

I was thinking of creating a thread about how awesome it would be to have Nicolas Cage modded into Skyrim complete with his classic movie lines but then realised this was...an obscure interest.

Well there has been some topics I could of make but likewise it hold little dicussion or little to none people posting in it (I'm aiming for that On Fire badge)-

"How does one end the cycle of hate?". (If you don't know what it mean I referring to certain war related media that use hate as the fuel for a war.)
"All things come to an end" (Not an emo thread, it more about which shows, books etc you would hate to see to end or dicuss which media would not died out e.g. DC recent reboot).
"How do you judge the valve of a product?"

I'm thinking about trying to Justin Beiber myself onto the next Comedy Central Roast. Just post a video of myself on youtube as a sort of open plea to whom it may concern in Comedy Central. I've never done stand-up before but they put The Situation on the Donald Trump roast and that guy fucking BOMBED. I figure I have a better chance than that dude, all I need to do is post an appeal that nobody important will hear or, see.
