Please, please, please, allow me to fill a server with bots for LAN play, if I'm having mates around for a LAN weekend, I don't want to put up with online play. Please... It's one of the things I loved with BF42 and BF:Vietnam, 6 of us having a boys weekend, shouldn't have to play a "serious" match just because we have to fill the server with strangers online.
Honestly, that was some of the most realistic dialogue I've heard in any wargame. There are several documentaries out there that were filmed in combat zones, and I've watched a couple, and...Soviet Heavy said:
That's pretty much how soldiers speak. I mean, if you're the kind of guy to shy away from using the word "fuck", you're also probably the kind of guy who won't sign on for shooting at people. Just sayin'.
(P.S.: I'd also cite a few soldier friends I have that swear a lot, but I attribute that more to being the type of person I hang out with than being a soldier.)

The reload ammunition could be polished, but, for the most part is accurate, it may not look good but it is right, when he emptied his clip he charged the charging handle and when he had a round in the chamber he just threw another mag in, I applaud the accuracy.Jubbert said:

I'm completely uninterested in the single-player aspect of Battlefield 3. They're selling themselves short on that one. Battlefield has never been anything other than an amazingly spectacular online 'battlefield' series.
I'm sure it will be interesting, but it will be like the cold & neglected side of peas on a plate of steaming hot steak with potatoes and gravy.
..Maybe I need to have some dinner...

Also, on the "color" discussion. I've been in several middle-east countries, and have seen virtually all of Iraq. Trust me, there isn't much color to be seen. Some regions are better than others, but it's a cultural thing. You'll see it in some marketplaces, but even then, all the color is sandblasted and everything is covered in sand/dust. It's like viewing the world in a beige-y sandy sepia filter.

Doesn't really impress much, looks like ever other game except maybe you can't just spray to win, but that will probably change.
It's a multi-player game with a single-player mode as an added bonus. I like it.

If they can come up with a whole script chock-full of more dry, professional humor, count me in.
That besides, the character animations and general realism were breathtaking.
Shooting gameplay looks pretty generic, but hey, it's an FPS, I'll be happy if they can innovate in little ways to mix things up.

In Gameinformer, DICE stated that the game begins in the grey/brown middle east, but migrates to more colorful locales throughout the rest of the game.josemlopes said:
