Transformers: War for Cybertron anyone else psyced ?

Im guessing Omega Supreme is the massive Autobot in the background of the charge, but I cant place the Decepticon one, it aint Devestator thats for sure.

Another thought, Im guessing no dinobots. If they havent been to earth yet in the game, Wheeljack wont have invented them based on dinosaurs he hasnt yet seen. Which is a shame, but fair enough.

Apparently Grimlock is in it, but he is a tank not a dinobot, its in the wiki on my first post.
and the big Decepticon MIGHT be Trypticon.

Yeah! Trypticon was the giant Godzilla type robot, and thats definately what I think I saw. ^^

Link, please? I hadn't heard about Grimlock being in here. I know of an incarnation as a Cybertronian tank, but that was Dreamwave's War Within series of comic books from 2001, which is awesome but not necessarily regarded canon.

And yes, that is Trypticon. There's a 10-minute gameplay video somewhere on the web where you see the first 30 seconds of the Trypticon boss battle.

also, for those complaining about being turned off by the movies:

and if you consider your yourself a transformers fan you should at least consider getting it.

Hmm... I had hoped you could have created a character and chosen a side. A lot of potential there, but I guess there isn't and it's following a set of comics, apparently? Huh, never even knew they made those for Transformers.

I think it'll be a great thing for Transformers, probably the game to be good... but not sure if it's my kind of game. I'd like it to be, but I just don't think it will be.

Edit: I just saw the ten minute video up above. It does look surprisingly better then the last two. I'm liking the character designs and the new weapon system. I also like how when you transform, you're not going 200 miles an hour into the nearest wall. So I don't know. Maybe I'll wait and see how it turns out.

And no, this is nothing like the two previous games; those were movie tie-ins, which are almost always horrible tripe... this is more like Gears of War with Transformers layered atop it, and with the financial backing and necessary development time to make it promising to say the least.

It looks fun and I love Action RPGs (I'm pretty sure it's an Action RPG anyway), which means I'll probably pick it up for some offline multiplayer fun. I was tempted to preorder it for the bonus characters.

Ah. Well, the fanboy in me screams for you to get WfC, but Alan Wake is actually a great experience, so I guess spending money on either game probably won't be a loss for you. ^^

Good news for you then sir, yes you can build your own transformer and pick a side to battle on.
you can also pick between different builds of transformer, such as scout (small quick hit and runners) ect.

Errr... the game actually doesn't have offline multiplayer (i.e. no split-screen). There's online multiplayer and 3-player drop-in/drop-out online co-op campaign, but the developers specifically didn't include a split-screen feature because they felt it would have decidedly diminished the experience, what with the game being so visually busy.

And here I thought I was the only one who's slowly being killed by the anticipation for this game. ^^

Oh, and about Grimlock... did you actually check that footnote? Grimlock will only be playable in the DS version developed by Vicarious Visions! So, no Grimlock for us consoleros.
