Oh, and about Grimlock... did you actually check that footnote? Grimlock will only be playable in the DS version developed by Vicarious Visions! So, no Grimlock for us consoleros.

Gah my nerdy side must put this right, first of all megatron is -not- a jet, he is a hover tank. to my knowledge he has -never- been a jet (apart from in that gross movie we don't speak about) and TF animated, but hes more of a battle chopper in that.
secondly they are Cybertronian vehicles, they are not earth vehicles, hence they can hover and stuffs.

Aside from what DaBozz already mentioned, why wouldn't Megatron or any other Transformer be able to transform into that kind of vehicle (or any other)? People seem to forget that transforming may have mostly served the purpose of camouflage on Earth, but no matter where the Transformers are, their alternate forms come in handy for transportation and traversing terrain quicker than on foot... it's a matter of practicality.
No reason for them not to have invented and designed wheeled and winged vehicles / vehicle modes, either.

It looks fun and I love Action RPGs (I'm pretty sure it's an Action RPG anyway), which means I'll probably pick it up for some offline multiplayer fun. I was tempted to preorder it for the bonus characters.

Errr... the game actually doesn't have offline multiplayer (i.e. no split-screen). There's online multiplayer and 3-player drop-in/drop-out online co-op campaign, but the developers specifically didn't include a split-screen feature because they felt it would have decidedly diminished the experience, what with the game being so visually busy.

Damn, was hoping for some offline drop-in/drop-out. Ah well.

Hmm... I had hoped you could have created a character and chosen a side. A lot of potential there, but I guess there isn't and it's following a set of comics, apparently? Huh, never even knew they made those for Transformers.

I think it'll be a great thing for Transformers, probably the game to be good... but not sure if it's my kind of game. I'd like it to be, but I just don't think it will be.

Good news for you then sir, yes you can build your own transformer and pick a side to battle on.
you can also pick between different builds of transformer, such as scout (small quick hit and runners) ect.

Hmm... yeah. Did some checking up on that. Still sounds good, I don't know if it's allowed for co-op -- probably not considering there's only three player co-op and only able to choose from three different characters for the level. Still, I wonder what the multiplayer will be like. Has potential... I'd think there'd be a more selective audience for it... but the fact I can create a character at all is an awesome sign.

Now, I just need to know more information on the versions regarding PC or Console to see which I want to opt for.

There are gameplay vid previews out there. They look absolutely balls awesome. I just hope the controls and "feel" turn out alright, because the setting, graphics, style, and action are spot-fucking-on.

Indeed, at this point the only thing I'm worried about are the length of the story campaign and possible control issues.

I wish they'd get the exclusive characters sorted out for the UK release. For the US, they have Shockwave, Demolisher, and Jazz from different retailers as a pre order bonus. In the UK, only one store has a bonus character (play.com), and it's Demolisher, my least favourite character.

Eh, it's no big deal, I think. The pre-order characters will only be available in one mode of the online multiplayer anyway, and I'm willing to bet the pants I'm currently wearing (and they are some damn comfortable pants!) that all the pre-order characters plus maybe a few more and some extra maps will be made available as DLC somewhere down the line. So, I don't think we sould fret about this.
