It looks OK, despite the massive amounts of Michael Bay's urine coating the franchize.
Still, I've got to ask, how can Megatron transform into a jet even though they've never been on Earth?
He doesn't go into a jet.
In G1, he transformed into a gun. Because they don't want to shrink him in WfC, he transforms into a hovertank thing, with the large gun barrel on top as the turret.
The Michael Bay jet isn't G1, or maybe even G2, canon.
Megatron as a jet is cannon to the newer Transformers: Animated and a few earlier lines
In Generation 1 he was a Walther p.38 U.N.C.L.E. Special
In Generation 2 he was a tank since laws kept Hasbro from releasing a realistic toy gun
G2 (Go-bot Megatron- which were like the old mini cars) was a Porshe
Machine Wars he was a jet

Now, I didn't mention the other series such as Armada, Robots in Disguise, Beast Wars or anything after the original run from the 80's because after that the timelines and universes are odd, so the ones I mention are the same Megatron that came to earth 4 billion years ago.
Different, yes, but odd...? Well, sometimes maybe. Still, not all that confusing... RID is its own continity, Armada, Energon and Cybertron are one continuity, and Beast Wars and Beast Machines actually fit perfectly into the G1 continuity and were intended as both a prequel and a sequel to the beloved show from the 80s.
I apologize, I didn't mean "Odd" as in strange, I meant odd as in the characters having the same names, but not being the same character. But you're right on Wars and Machines fitting into the G1 timeline, but like I said, I was meaning how they used Megatron as almost an honorific for the Decepticon ruler at the time because of G1 Megatron (at least I think that's what they said, I never really kept up with Beast Wars and Machines.). So once again I apologize if my wording was a bit, "odd" lol

No need to apologize... ^^°
Yeah, I was a bit confused about the names the first time I saw BW many years ago, but it's actually kind of fitting. And as for Megatron... as much as I like G1, I will stand by my conviction that BW/BM Megatron is far better and more interesting than his Decepticon ancestor.

I found the cartoons pretty dumb, and the movies suck even more...

So, uh, no, I'm not psyched. The only entertainment I derive from many of those shows everyone apparently loved as a child includes laughing at how retarded they are. The shows, that is. I love watching Captain Planet and GIJoe ironically. Both of the shows make such good comedy.
I remember way back in the day when I watched the cartoons as a child and thougth they were they were the best things ever. I had/have tons of transformer toys. But I have gone back and re-watched the original G1 series and it is quite laughable at times, but it doesn't make me like the franchise any less. I watched BW/BM as an adult and loved them (BW especially). The movies were simple mindless entertainment (and I do mean mindless, horrible story for #2).

So yeah, I think all of us who watched the original G1 series as a child look back with Rose colored glasses, but I still love the franchise more for the toys and the fun I had with them.

The Michael Bay jet isn't G1, or maybe even G2, canon.
Actually, most models are coming form the comic series War Within, based on cybertron way before they ever came to earth (Otimus isn't even a Prime at the begining). In that series, Megatron is a tank, that is where it came from.

Yup, that's what I think, too. I just re-read War Within, and the design similarities, while not overly blatant, are definitely there.

I wish they'd get the exclusive characters sorted out for the UK release. For the US, they have Shockwave, Demolisher, and Jazz from different retailers as a pre order bonus. In the UK, only one store has a bonus character (play.com), and it's Demolisher, my least favourite character.

:/ This will never do.
Eh, it's no big deal, I think. The pre-order characters will only be available in one mode of the online multiplayer anyway, and I'm willing to bet the pants I'm currently wearing (and they are some damn comfortable pants!) that all the pre-order characters plus maybe a few more and some extra maps will be made available as DLC somewhere down the line. So, I don't think we sould fret about this.
Well multiplayer is nearly everything to me, so if you're wrong, this is kinda a big deal. I'll still be getting the game, though at some stage, I will have to destroy you.
Well, I'll deal with that issue when we come to it. Incidentally, did I mention I'm a master of Cybertronian Scrap Fu? :p
We shall see.

*Lies in wait*
Lie in wait and stealth around all you want, nothing escapes the lenses of my cloaked spy drones! The moment you try and sneak up on me you'll be catching an Energon mace right in the crotch plate. :D
Nope, you'll have been hit by my transform disruptor, locking you in your alternate form. I'll just pick you off from a distance.

Which is what Galvatron transformed into in the animated movie after being re-made by Unicron.

If I remeber right.^^

Nah, Galvatron was a very powerful, but stationary cannon.

You fiend! Oh wait, that's one more good thing about war for Cybertron... you're not defenseless in vehicle mode. In fact, unless I happen to be a sports car or a jet in vehicle mode you've got a pretty tough and well-armed nut to crack. ^^

I was merely countering your 'Energon Mace' plan. But in all seriousness, the vehicle form can't be as multipurpose or adaptable as you might need to face ME MUAHAHAHA!

We'll see about that. Besides, if it really proves to be that bothersome I'll just get one of the scientists among my faction to upload a counter-virus to your debilitating de-buff into my circuitry... and then you'll end up taking that Energon mace up the tailpipe anyway. Bwaaahahahahah!

Well if we're bringing in teammates, then I'm sure my own scientist will have set up a sentry turret nearby to defend against such treachery!

Not if one of my cloaked scouts sneaks up behind your frail little scientist and clips his wings first!
... Or we could just settle this with a round of Rock'em Sock'em Robots and the loser buys the first round of oil in the tavern? :p

definitely will be checking out
it's not Revenge of the Fallen people lolll
gameplay is said to be familiar with Gears of War but watching the gameplay people aren't in cover most of the time it seems sooo if they can make switching between vehicle/robot fun and awesome then it should be cool (and lots and lots of bullets haha...Mr. Bay took all the explosions)

Personally, I have high hopes for this game. I also have high hopes that Mr. Bay is distracted by something shiny long enough for someone to revoke his licensing rights to make Transformers 3... or for someone to lock him a box and mail him to Siberia- at the slowest rate available.

According to wikipedia, Grimlock is in the game.

I am buying this.
Check the footnote... Grimlock will only be in the DS version of the game.

There are gameplay vid previews out there. They look absolutely balls awesome. I just hope the controls and "feel" turn out alright, because the setting, graphics, style, and action are spot-fucking-on.
Indeed, at this point the only thing I'm worried about are the length of the story campaign and possible control issues.
Hey, you know how one of these worries could likely easily be remedied, High Moon Studios? By giving us a playable demo!!! Come on, pleeeeeaaase!
One of my friends that works at EB games (He's a manager) went to a conference and got to play it, he said it controls well.
Great! :)
... I still want to play it for myself, though. Seriously, I feel like I can't take three more weeks of waiting. :\
I know, I'm the same, it does good to know a friend of mine with similar taste enjoyed it though.

I think we've had this impatience discussion before! And I'm the same, they need to release a demo already!

The only similarity it has with Gears is the 3rd person perspective, and Gears wasn't first to that.
