Trapped! A Survival Horror RP - Chapter 6: Have We Escaped Yet?

Dean reads the (basic?) warning signs. They tell him to watch out for high voltage, and other warning signs one would find. As he descended the stairs he noticed the stair walls where streaked with bloody hands.

"Son of a *****. . ." he said as he unslung his M4a1 and advanced down the stairs.

"I think it was 6am." Yvonne said, as everyone settled into the trucks.

"Twelve hours should be enough time to get food and whatever else we feel like grabbing," Tyler commented. "I mean, I don't want to be broke and homeless when we get out of here, to be honest."

"Money is no problem. As long as my dad doesn't close off my bank account, I can get us all enough to live on for at least a month once we get out of here." Yvonne said, looking through her purse to double check.

"That works, too. Just, don't feel like you owe us, alright?" Tyler mentioned, remembering why he was saving her.

 

[MasterSqueak]

"Forget looting, we should just get out ASAP."

 

[Jedoro]

"Yeah, I know, that's been my whole point, but there's one thing I need to pick up," Tyler replied, knocking abandoned cars and zombies aside.

"What is it?" Yvonne asked, wondering if it was a pet or a family member.

"I told that girl I'm gonna marry her, so I'll need to grab some kind of ring," he answered. "I know it won't mean as much, since I'm not buying it, but I doubt I'll be able to buy one anytime soon." Smiling, he kept a lookout for any jewelry stores as he ran zombies over.

"Hah, good thinking, I'm sure we're not the only people to loot." She paused to think. "Do you think there are lots of people alive? Just hiding?" Yvonne said aloud, not really expecting an answer.
They drove closer to town, although Yvonne could see the barricade in the distance. There were tiny figures walking across the top.
If those are zombies, we're really screwed. She thought.

"Can you see if those guys have rifles?" Tyler asked, not having any long-range optics. "They're hopefully the guards, or the infection got out of the city."

"No, I can't see anything from this far away." Yvonne replied. She leaned out of the window trying to get a clearer look.

 

[Jedoro]

"Alright, there any sporting good stores nearby? We could probably pick up some binoculars from one of them," Tyler suggested, readying his weapons as he drove.

Wilf:

One of the men sniggers and turns to his friend.
"Oi Barry, some kid snuck past ya, and ya call ya'self a lieutenant." He roars with laughter and pats the second man on the back, who is smiling himself.
"He looks 'armless to me, 'ey kid! What's ya name?" He yells up at you.

"Wait, stop!" Yvonne yelled, spotting a jewellery shop to their left. The firetruck screeched to a halt, and the other one drove past before slowing down aswell.
"Hey! What the hell are you guys doing?" Eric yelled at them, as they hopped out of the truck and walked up to the glass window of the shop.

"It looks empty from here.." Yvonne said sceptically.

 

[MasterSqueak]

"What the hell?! A jewellery shop?!"

Eric was starting to doubt his "friend's" will to survive.

Leanne got out of the other side of Eric's truck.
"Aren't you rich enough already? Lets just get out of here!" She yelled at Yvonne.

 

[Jedoro]

"Guys, I'll be right back," Tyler called out as he jumped out of the truck. "If you want, go on ahead and I'll catch up, but I'm stopping here for a minute."

"Hey, what are you doing?" Kelsey shouted from the back of the truck.

"Just trust me, alright?" Raising his shotgun, he pumped it as he slowly entered, looking for any zombies inside.
