Emu, just so you know, you're not supposed to have more than two items in the equipment section. I'd suggest not counting the clothing or the suitcase.

EDIT: Also, since I don't feel like being PMed anymore, I'd just like to let everyone know that I'm sorry for how I acted and I don't intend to do it again. I was in a bad place because my brother pissed me off really bad and my cousin's in the hospital for God knows what.

Revenent, don't sweat it ande I apologize too. I wasn't exactly in my most constructive mood either, since I've been snowed in and literally have not been able to leave my house for a week.

OK, I now have 8 players confirmed by PM. We need 13, preferrably 14. I know some people confirmed in thread, but to to make it official, I need PMs, as I initially requested. If you are planning to play please PM me so I can add you to the list of confirmed players. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.79762?page=3#1079377]

UPDATE: We now have 11 characters. You other folks who want to play need to PM me. The sooner I get enough PM confirmations, the sooner we can play.

If you want I can ask some people who I know are good RPers to join in. We already have a great cast so we could probably attract alot of the veterans.

Rogueshadows, doesn't look like I did. If you misspelled my name, that might have caused the delivery to fail. Would you please resend it?

Yes, it is, and because British Telecom are evil bastards, Qayin is without internet until he can convince them it's his line that requires repair and not his computer. I will be getting info from him ASAP to get this rolling in his absence.

So here's your basic info:

The hotel is quite modest in size with the main lobby large enough to hold a decent-size family gathering for check-in. The front desk is in the middle of the lobby, to the right of the front desk is the entrance to the hotel restaurant, behind the front desk are the double-doors leading into the banquet room, and the elevator doors

Above are the four floors of guest rooms. The elevator divides the floors into two wings, 7 rooms per wing. On each floor there is an ice machine just to the right of the guest elevator. There is also a service elevator at the end of one wing and the stairwell at the end of the other. The stairwell doors are steel fire-doors. Both the stairwell and the service elevator are on the same side of the hallway, so there are only three rooms on that side of the hall and five rooms on the facing side of the hall. The rooms opposite the stairwells and service elevators are small suites with a separate bedroom and a small kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave, sink, and coffee maker.

I will get more info on exactly where everyone is in the hotel in a bit. Meanwhile, please feel free to write a post in which you are in your room, doing whatever it is you doing in your room. In other words, here is your opportunity to establish your character as a person.

Just a note, the sniper/ninja/shadow may be in affect. In your minds. As he isn't real.

But anyway, looking forward to watching what seems to be a very interesting RP, don't let me down!

Steam hissed out of the vents surrounding him as Jim walked through the boiler room, his shaved head perspired and he wiped it with his handkerchief. He reached the furnace, which had been having issues lately and set his tool box down on one of the tables near it, opening it up to take out his wrench and it made a loud clang as it hit the metal table.
"Fuck..." Jim cursed under his breath, the table was hot, he had burned his fingers trying to pick the wrench up. He wrapped his hands in his sleeves and slowly picked up the wrench.
"FUCK!" He shouted, his voice echoing throughout the hot metal of the boiler room, the door had opened, making a loud bang against the wall, it had startled him, and he's dropped the wrench on the table again.
Jim kicked one of the boilers, he was an angry man, large too weighing in at 6'5" and 240 pounds, but he only took out this anger on himself, by himself, around others, he was always fairly shy.
Footsteps echoed through the room, they were his supervisor's, he identify the click of those platform shoes any day of the week. Jim closed his eyes and took a deep breath, bracing himself for what was to come:
"HALCOY!!!! WHY ISN'T THE CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING FIXED YET?" The short man screamed, his face turning red, partially from anger, partially from heat.
"I...I'm sorry sir, I meant to do it, but the guests have been complaining about the heating and the boiler had been making loud noises so..."
"I don't care what the guests complain about!" The man said, cutting Jim off before he could finish his sentence, "All that matters is what I pay you to do! Listen, you're a good mechanic, but the attitude has to stop! YOU FIX, WHAT I PAY YOUR TO FIX, UNDERSTOOD?"
Jim sighed, and clenched his teeth, he paused a long time and finally, grudgingly said, "Yes...sir."
"That's more like it Halcoy, now get back to work, I got word there are a bunch a new guests coming in soon, have it fixed by tomorrow night at closing time!!"
Jim slowly picked up his wrench, which was burning hot at this point, cooled it off, and got back to work.

Tomorrow was the big day. Matt couldn't get his hands to stop shaking. Twenty-eight years old, and he had his first part in an actual movie. Sure, it was just another stoned idiot in the newest slasher flick, but the money was good.

He lay on his back on the itchy hotel comforter. It was late, and the only light in the room was from the TV. Some crime drama show was on. Matt smiled as he remembered the joy of watching himself on TV for the first time. He wondered what it would be like seeing himself get cut to shreds on the big theater screen. Exciting and chilling at the same time, he guessed.

Matt reached into his jeans and realized that his cigarettes were gone. He must have dropped them in the restaurant. Without them, he'd have a god damn panic attack on the set. Not wasting a second, he jumped to his feet and went out the door, not bothering to switch off the TV.

Jordan sighed as he flopped down on the bed of room 206, and laid there for a second. "No one understands me", he said allowed, to no one in particular, as he replayed the events in the lobby in his mind. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best idea to mention what he does for a living to the person behind the counter, but it had been an innocent question, and he hadn't thought about it before answering that he was a Cryptozoologist, passing through on the way to a sighting. Their face had instantly taken on a mocking expression, as they sarcastically remarked, the smirk barely hidden on their face, "Oh, one of those. We don't get many Bigfoot Hunters here." Rather than pointing out the difference between a Cryptozoologist and some redneck "Bigfoot Hunter", He had quickly taken his room key and left, preferring to avoid the mocking stares of everyone in the lobby.

Sitting up, he pulls out a beaten up old hip flask, and takes a hit off of it before getting up and plugging his camcorder into the outlet. You never know when you might see something was his personal motto, though he got many strange looks for carrying a video camera around with him at all times. After checking that the camera was charging properly, Jordan flipped on the TV, and flipped channels until he landed on something he liked. Ah, MonsterQuest, one of his favorite programs.

After a while, His camera beeps that it is charged, and he makes a video entry. Settling the camera on the top of the TV, he presses the record button and begins to talk.

"Well, if all goes according to plan, I should be in Essex by tomorrow, ready to begin looking for evidence of the ghost dog that has been reported there for the first time since the 70's. I hope this will finally be my big break. I can't take being laughed at much more. If I could just find some evidence, ANY evidence, maybe people would stop treating me like a idiot, and start treating me with the respect my profession deserves."

Pausing for a moment, he takes another hit from his flask.

"I have a good feeling about this investigation though. I just know I am going to see something. Then they will be the ones being laughed at for mocking me. I will find proof, I just know it. End Entry."

Feeling better after venting a bit, he stops the recording, and puts the camera in its belt holster. Taking a cue from his stomach, he decides to check out the restaurant, hoping they have a bar of some kind. His flask is running low, and hey, a guy has to eat. Flipping the lights off, he leaves, looking forward to his first hot meal in god knows how long.
