Everyone who was headed downstairs is downstairs. We will assume that everyone is in the lobby, except for Higu/Kaze and berethond/Joseph, who went to explore the kitchen, and linchowlewy/Rafael, who is apparently still in bed. Uh-oh.
For those who came down the atairs/are going to the kitchen: The kitchen is not accessible from the lobby, you would have to go through the restaurant to get to it. It's true that the doors to the restaurant are locked, but Spartan's character should have keys to open it.
I didn't want to nitpick and make everyone who took the stairs to the restaurant hit a locked door and go back up to the first floor, so lets just say that the stairs on the lobby floor come out next to the restaurant entrance, rather than coming out inside of the restaurant itself. Technically, the ground floor landing has three doors, one to the mechanicals room, one to the lobby, and one to the outside of the hotel. The one to the outside would have a fire alarm bar on it, and it's sealed anyway, like the rest of the exterior doors.

she can hear them in the lobby, smell them too, the nasty little one with the cigarette. no smoking in the hotel, no smoking in the nursery! he'll make the baby sick. he'll make the baby cry and the baby mustn't cry. It's terrible when the baby cries. they are all down there, talking, pulling at the door, banging on it. she is sure the baby is listening. they didn't wake him though, her little Prince. the Prince never sleeps.
not like the one upstairs. she has a key to the elevator, the service elevator, in the pocket of her old uniform. up to the first floor she goes, with her key that unlocks the elevator and the rooms too. she unlocks his room, he's sleeping like a baby. not her baby, though. she must be quiet. they are downstairs, buzzing around in the lobby like flies. she must be quiet and quick. the pillow, over the face, that will do it.
