Oh and whats Lifetime?
Lifetime is a cable television network full of some of the most blatant sexism in mass media today, both against men and ironically against women themselves. My mom used to watch it all the time, so I saw quite a lot of it.

Last time I checked, friend, you were posting in a public forum, can't stand the heat, get out of the flame
Man, you really missed the joke, didn't you?
No, strike that, it's not a question.
It's a statement.
"You really missed the joke."
Oh shi- that was a joke? By the power of grayskull, you really aren't funny are you. Maybe you should work on that before criticizing others for not 'getting' your 'jokes'
Hey, don't knock it before you've tried it, as far as I can tell, that's great advice for you all 'round

Holy crap, I can't believe this thread made it to nine pages.
And that I'm posting on it.
As for the issue at hand...
It's not weird to turn down sex, sheesh. Yeah, it's perfectly normal to NOT be a nympho or a whore or someone whose existence and self-esteem depends on sex.

Well, less a joke, more a comment not meant to be taken seriously.

Maybe you should work on critical thinking skills.
Whoa now, hold on, don't get ahead of yourself etc.
How about you work on your regular 'thinking skills' then tell me what to do,
besides, critical thinking is a bastardized offshoot from philosophy, why would I study that when I have the aforementioned superior subject?

He meant dry spell as it not getting any sex. I have to say you arent alone my friend. I have turned down two girls after months of not getitng any mainly because a) I didn't trust them to be clean and b) I didnt care for them like that.

Yes, because he's already headshot the poor Heavy bastard who was on the bridge before, so the path's all clear for us to go and storm their base. :p

You are a good person for not sleeping with a girl you have no real feelings for. While I could go on for hours about the 'pyramid effect' concerning the spread of STDs and the whole baby-making issue, I won't. Sex should be a thing between a man and a woman (preferrably married) who truly love and respect one another and their bodies likewise.

Yay for you! ^^

I'm at a total loss here. But, why'd you say it "should" be between a man and a woman? And why does it have to be in a relationship? You made a statement, and it's what you believe, and that's fine, but if you're going to tell people that it's what they "should" be doing - why?

I think it's a fair question.

It should be in a relationship because casual sex is basically a breeding ground for STDs all of which can cause extreme pain, infection and scarring, PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease), infertility and death. Monogomous marriages create a more stable ground and can help prevent the spread of STDs. Think about it: if your partner slept with ten people, when you ingage in such behavior you are exposed to every pathogen that each of those partners were exposed to. It makes sense if you only slept with one other person, it would all but end the spread of the disease.

Trust me on this one, after a through education you learn two things:
1. Sex = Bad / Convent = Good / Sex = Kind of facinating, like a two headed goat, but don't get too close or it might eat your skirt
2. the words 'foaming' 'oozing' and 'vagina' should NEVER be used in the same sentance. 0.0 trust me.

So you turned down sex. Good for you, you have gained +5 respect points with this faction.

Just because it has tits, ass, and a vag doesn't mean you have to hit it, guys >.>

Once you start to get older, no strings sex doesn't seem to matter that much at least that was my experience.

I'd probably have done the same unless I were in a long-term relationship with the person and had been for a while. Nothing wrong with turning down sex.

No, I don't think that turning down sex is weird. As a christian I don't go for pre-marital sex anyways. So, in my opinion, you did the right thing. (unless you're married to this girl)
