If it was just sex, I would turn it down. I'm not a big fan of purely physical relationships.

There's nothing wrong with turning down sex.
But turning to an internet message board (especially one geared towards gamers) to get vindication? I'm not sure about that...

I used to do this alot tbh, usually when I was a bit younger for some strange reason.
In my case it was because of 2 reasons:
1) Being preoccupied with thoughts of someone else
2) Guilt. I've never cheated on anyone.
Its not strange or unusual. But you have to weight it in context to everything else... You are only young once, will you regret it?

erm just wondering here... but how can a man have a dry spell? i mean women can have dry spells down there...but men dont get wet!
It depends on the situation. Though, if it won't frighten off the person you're courting, I would have went for it. My penis would have used the excuse that I need more practice, or that something will go wrong with that "right" person. The funny thing is seeing your hormones butt heads, saying, "this isn't the perfect girl! It's a trap!" or "go for it! You'll never get another chance!"

I read an article a while back that states the number one regret amongst the elderly is that they didn't have enough sex in their life. That really says something. I think it's because you get to the end of your life and realize that it was all a joke and you missed the chance to laugh about it. Try not to take life so seriously, it's not like you're going to survive it.
That being said, if you are going to turn down sex do it for the right reasons! Turn it down because it makes you happy to do so (god that felt weird to type out...), NOT because you think it's noble. There is nothing noble about being miserable.
