While I liked the show as a whole, I found the final season of LOST to be absolutely atrocious. Seriously. It seemed like a goddamn farce. Yet everyone I know who watches the show just gobbled that crap up.

NCIS. I really don't understand why people like this show. It's even more boring than CSI, which I can only handle in small amounts. And speaking of CSI, I like most of those, except Miami. Horatio is the worst character I think I've ever seen on a TV show.

I also don't like How I Met Your Mother. I've tried watching a few episodes, but I just don't enjoy it as much as my friends.

And lastly, Family Guy. The jokes don't make sense, and only one in five will make me smile/chuckle/giggle, but none of them make me actually laugh out loud, or smile five minutes after it's over.

This is how I watch Lost:

- Rent them.

- Each season, watch the first episode.

- Then watch the last episode for that season.

- Rinse and repeat for each season.

- Finish!

- Return the DVDs.

- Write your own summary in a Lost fan forum.

- Submit.

- Turn off the PC.

- Go to bed.

- Sleep soundly while shitstorm brewing in your submitted thread.

- Having sweet dream about one of your favorite cast.

- ???

- Profit!

I don't understand the point of watching Jersey Horse, it's boring and pointless, and every new season they seems only like to horsing around.

Neigh I say, neigh.

CSI Miami, because there are so many shows that have the same murder investigation-coppish vibe. I do like NCIS though.

I can't stand Jersey shore. Orange people getting drunk and beating up each other is not my cup of tea.

American idol sucks now.

The office. That show is horrible in my opinion. Its discussions are entirely dumb to me. I just don't get it.

Edit: Glee. It's just Kidz bop but on tv.

everyone at my job is all about Glee
Well I'm sorry but it's really crappy I tried to watch it and felt my eyes pop out and run into a corner. Alot of people watch what everyone else watches like they have no opinion and when someone with an opinion comes along they pretty much just say "you don't know what your missing"

oh and let's not forget the insanity that is the Jersey Shore... Come on if I want reality I'd go outside that show is crap on top of crap

GAH I can probably name a few more but I'd go into really long sentences and then it would make me weep for the days when TV made sense to me.

There are a number of comedies that have been the top of the ratings that I actively dislike:

Two and a Half Men
Everybody Loves Raymond
Home Improvement
Mad About You

shows like that.

Now, most of my friend circle would agree with my dislike of those shows.
Couldn't agree more. God I hate those shows. And they're everywhere. Also, funny that you'd mention home improvement, didn't that end like 10 years ago? I can't remember seeing it past then (thank god.)

But I also don't really get 30 Rock, and everybody seems to love that.
I quite like 30 rock though. Even if you don't like it, you have to admit it's better than those other ones, which actively try to insult your intelligence.

I just came to the sad realization that it would be faster to list the shows I do not hate than to state the ones I despise. So here's my list of shows I like:
Simpsons pre season 10
Star Trek (TNG in particular)
House (only because the writing is so awful, the acting idiotic, and the characters so stock that I find it amusing. Plus Olivia Wilde is nice to look at, just sayin'...)
Some shows on Food Network, cuz I actually enjoy cooking
Mythbusters
Firefly (well, obviously)
BSG

Ok, anything else can go to hell, and I hope there is a special real of eternal suffering for the writers/actors of the following: <Country's> Next Idol, Next Top Model, Lost, any Seth MacFarlene show, CSI, Criminal Minds, and any MTV show.

Alright, I'm gonna take a couple moments to explain the commonly listed 'hated' shows and why I genuinely like them, because maybe if you hear it from someone who came to enjoy the shows on their 'own', you'd understand...

Bones: It's a Crime/Comedy, heavy focus on the humorous writing of the show. When it gets serious, it goes 2 ways, either VERY well handled and heavy with a psychological tone or forced and hokey like when they're trying to send a message sent by hundreds of shows before it.

Glee: It's a campy comedy that is fairly funny and when it's done right, has some DAMN good musical performances. Is it possible they're pre-recorded? Yeah, but is it actually those kids and is it likely they're actually singing and the music just got overdubbed? Yeah, but it's not like any other show doing the same thing has an actual live performance. There are parts to the show that are tiresome and god knows that the drama surrounding the closet gay dude on the football team and the openly gay guy who left the Glee Club to go elsewhere is an extremely stupid and pointless storyline, but it's a mostly 'fun' show.

The Office: You have to understand what kind of fucked up people there are in the world to 'get' this show. It's a love it or hate it.

Weeds: The show has become almost sitcom-like in the terms of non-sensical hijinks that happens. It's a sitcom with a TVMA rating and no laugh track. Also, the actors themselves are kinda selling points, as people like Kevin Nealon and Mary Louise Parker can be very off putting to some viewers. The plot itself however, actually exists and is remotely interesting and ended on one hell of a cliffhanger last season.

Just throwing things out there, as I used to be someone who didn't care about Glee at all. Burned through a couple episodes here and there and just started watching since the most recent season started.

However, no one here should force themselves to like Big Bang Theory. It's an awful abomination of a show that should never be watched.

If hate could be turned into water, I could save whole African countries from drought and famine with my disdain for Friends.

Really? Why do people hate How I Met Your Mother? Weird. Me personally, I hate all reality tv, scripted or not. (But one time I laughed my ass of cause my girlfriend likes reality tv and this one guy was SOOOOOOOO dumb I couldn't stop laughing the instant he walked on screen. He was like Bleach white with dregs.)

Also, I hate Charmed. I used to love that show, but looking at it now it's SOOOOO feminist it pains me to watch it. Seriously, whenever a guy is on that show he's either evil or somehow becomes incapable of performing simple tasks. At first you think "oh, well that's fine, they punched him unconscious" but after a while you just get mad.

Anyways, I also can't stand Sex and the City, Jersey Shore, True Blood, Family Guy (After like the 3rd season.), South Park (Funny at first, but quickly devolves to just plain dumb), and Aqua Team Hunger Force.

Goddamn Arrested Development.

It doesn't make me laugh, it makes me want to hang myself rather than sitting through any more of it.

Some shows I don't like -

The Office
30 Rock
Parenthood
Grey's Anatomy
CSI (with the new cast members)
Enterprise
Firefly
Arrested Development

Shows I love -

Kitchen Nightmares
Hell's Kitchen (I guess I have a little Gordon Ramsay crush)
Man vs Food (found some great places to go eat)
Southpark
American Dad
Oz
Top Chef (all stars has been so awesome!)
So you Think You Can Dance
Americas Next Top Dance Crew
And I hesitate to say it but... Glee. I fucking love Glee. The show is funny, the cast is talented. People say they ruin songs but I think some people are pretentious dicks, most of the acts they use are begging to get featured on the show because it creates interest in their original work. Kids be digging on Tim Curry as Frank N. Furter because they learned about Rocky Horror from Glee, what the hell is wrong with that?

*Flameshield*

Basically I like shows that relate to my personal interests which include cooking, dancing (seriously love to dance) and competition.
