Halo Reach is a damn good game.

F1 2010 is a multi platform game.

But more importantly... who cares?

I can't stand racing games and I love Halo: Reach... does that mean I have bad taste? No it means I have my own opinion and don't just take the most popular opinion so I I can be L337.

halo reach was 360 only, and f1 isn't. more platforms = wider amount of possible buyers = more sales, so that means that it doesn't really mean that much.

F1 2010 is a brilliant game. I don't own a 360 so I can't comment on Halo.

It's just a shame that when playing online the gentlemanly code of F1 doesn't translate and everyone drives like an arse.

Surely there are other racers for people who just want to drive into other cars?

Well it is not like F1 2010 was up against much. Halo : Reach was truly milking the last drops of a franchise and Dead Rising 2 is meant to be worse then the first.

Dude have you seen the reviews of DR2??? They say this game is a huge improvement over the first game. Halo a milked franchise??? Dude Bungie has only made 4 Halo games and one RTS spin off by another studio. That doesn't sound milked too me???

This F1 racing game does look good but I rather play Grand Turismo 5 instead of this game.

DR was one of the worse games I have ever played, DR2 is not much better. The port onto PC has to be one of the worst ports I have seen in a very long time with terrible voice acting, awful graphics, and a dreadful storyline.
Since Halo 2 the game has barely changed and is now dated compared to most games. They have also destroyed the original storyline to accommodate more games. If that is not fan service and milking the game, I do not know what is.

Yes, I agree with this.
Honestly, there's no 'good taste' or 'bad taste' in this context, people play what they like, if in Britain they happen to like racing games then hey, more power to them, but them liking one game over Halo: Reach DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE OF GOOD TASTE, further more if they liked Halo over the racing game THE SAME WOULD APPLY.

Seriously, I get so fed up with all these people who seem to be under the impression that for not liking Halo that they are suddenly of a higher order of human being and that it is every person's duty to make sure that the malevolent evil that is the Halo franchise must be purged.

Also I agree with you about the Yahtzee comment by the way and, at the risk of sounding like an angry fanboy here, if the people of the internet want to go watch and agree one hundred and ten percent with a man who has no prior knowledge of the franchise other than that he must be biased towards it, playing the single player once, knowing that he won't get anything out of the story or experience and then rate the game solely on that without acknowledging any of the additional content... and then go ahead and call the fans of the game 'mindless sheep' then all the power to them, they are honestly getting that much easier to ignore.

But still, Jesus Christ, so an F1 game outsold a Halo title. That is not proof of 'good taste' just that the personal taste of a large percent of the British populace prefer racing games to shooter games. It isn't implying a higher order of intelligence or anything like that.
Seriously if this game had outsold any other franchise, it would have gone unnoticed but because it's Halo it just has to have it's own thread.

Well anyway, to conclude this, I mean to disrespect to any people who might prefer F1 to Halo, you should be able to like whatever game you want without receiving any level of disrespect for it. Funny that my opinion on how a racing game that innovates for the field is in better taste than a space marine fps game gets me on probation for "obnoxious and unwelcome behaviour".

I haven't "bashed" Halo or pointed out flaws, meerly said it's nothing new and so not as "good taste" as an innovative F1 title.

Oh well! I'll go post in a lot of threads today and then people will want to see what I was put on probation for, causing significantly more views.
