Another I forgot: Strangers with Candy. It was a parody of afterschool specials about a 46-year-old junkie who returns to high school. Like The Daily Show at its best, though, it didn't use parody to make fun of morality and the right behavior that the targets of its satire were designed to instill, but rather to throw up its hands in exasperation on how so often we choose to do the wrong or stupid thing. But don't get me wrong: it was utterly hilarious. How good was it? It had Amy Sedaris and Stephen Colbert.
