Some of the bosses from Dawn of War II come to mind... the Avatar of Khaine, the big Waaaaghboss and the final Hive Tyrant in particular. Ridiculously powerful attacks, and the feeling of accomplishing absolutely nothing as you pump enough ordinance into them to sink a fucking strike cruiser.
Don't even get me started on those. It took me ages to wear them down.

The Azure dragons in Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Armageddon's blade were impossible.
Azure Dragons? Really? those guys were toast with a strong army. unless your talking about the final map in Dracon´s campaign, then i totally agree...

I didn't have much trouble with him at all, I've had worse, to be honest the only real challenging thing was the health your character had and how awkward it is to regenerate health, then again its been a while since I played this.

If you really want a tough boss fight, try this.

Phhhthptph. If you mean the guy from number 1, you are sorely mistaken, i beat him after my 5 try, now the one from Number 2 on the other hand, hes really hard, not the hardest, but still sint pleasent.

Also, does naoyone remeber this downhill sking game, it was really old but really fun, for the first 10,000 meters, then it got interesting, and by that i mean an abomodabul snomman comes out of no where and eats you, hes almost impossiblr to dodge and eats you if he touches you. If you do manage to dodge him, another one comes and eats you, not so fun.

Demi-Fiend from DDS. In 13 years of gaming I haven't encountered a boss that is harder than this guy.

Not even something like "Fire, Water and Earth" (or whatever this achievment is called) from WoW or Yogg-Saron+0 is harder.

I always thought that in 2 he is easier. His moves are easier to dodge if you know them and his Angel of Death (I call it that) skill is easier to avoid.

The lich Benirus in Oblivion took me forever to beat.
Are you kidding me? Any attempts Bethesda made at boss fights in Oblivion were and are pathetically easy. I went up to Mannimarco at the end of the mage's guild questline and killed him in 2 fucking fireball hits, mind you I was 100 in destruction and was using an 110 pts fire damage spell... Still, that's what scaling is for in the game, right?

Juggernauts in CoD:MW2
Ok so I haven't played it yet but I know they're strong, they can take a couple of .50 Cal bullets before going down.

Damn you ninja'd me on that bastard.

Others I would include would be Henry from No More Heros, the dudes only wearing a trench coat yet he can take a load of shit and deal just as much back.

Also the party member battles from Persona 3:The answer. Mainly due to the fact that they they lost all their weaknesses and kept their nulls.

The final boss in DoA4. It can teleport at any time, even during combos. It can drain half of your health in one swift combo. And worst of all, the floors explode when you land on them causing even more damage. What a *****!
Fucking This.
That ***** was ridiculous.

I also hated Hell's Gate in Last Remnant, that's was bullshit and he was waayyyy too hard.

While I agree that Mannimarco was pathetic, the conditions under which I fought Benirus may have hindered me. I was a level 15 Khajiit, and the only weapon I had that did damage to Benirus was a silver shortsword (or at least I thought he could only be damaged with it).

The large mutants in the original Far Cry. Hae never completed that game as went from open world with fun enemies to a corridor shooter with stupidly strong enemies.

Mine is any dragon from The Last Remnant, especially on hard.
Ludicrous amounts of health, can smash any unit to piece in 1-3 attacks (and sometimes multiple units in one hit)
Generally every dragon fight in that game will take a minimum of 15 minutes of attacking and healing to bring down.

But as far as RE goes, they like to throw some dudes in there every now and then that just take way too much abuse. Do you remember the double chain saw guy for merc mode in RE4 or Salazar's guy who he sent after you when you get dropped into the pit of death.

P.S. I'm trying to beat RE5 on co-op with my friend on hard and that guy is invincible in that mode. We killed him 3-4 times and within a few seconds he just got up and started chasing us again. When you see him, if you can, run like hell.

that fight was just psychotic
it was such bs that we couldnt attack out own units when he resurrected them unless we could heal them right away

You have a time limit of one hour to take this guy down and half the time he's in the air where melee players can't get him while fireballs, which are bloody hard to dodge by the way, rain down.
Almost every single one of his attacks is a one hit kill and your party shares only 3 lives.

Took bloody ages for me and my friends to kill this arse.
