United states to close Youtube

The government has been trying to do a lot of things

As well, I thought it was unconstitutional to be trying crimes not based upon how much damage they incur. (Such as Copyright vs. Theft)

Regardless, I know that a day will come when Youtube suffers the greatest Internet Epic Fail in the history of Mankind when it does some kind of terrible update that ruins things forever, or just shuts down.
And I await that day to switch over to PirateTube.

It requires ISP's to inspect every piece of data going through them

And that is why such a thing will never happen.

Do you have any idea how much data is constantly being transferred every minute of every day of every year? I don't even want to begin to think of it. It's kind of like trying to quantify Infinity. It boggles the mind.

Can you Americans PLEASE get your government officials sorted out? What happens in America internet-wise affects the whole world. Please kick these morons with corporate hand in their pockets out of office now.

The trouble is, anyone we elect to replace them will also have corporate hands in their pockets.

The only cure is to change the law, completely eliminating private donations from the political process... but really, getting politicians to do that would be like getting a heroin junkie to vote for a law banning needles.

I thought y'all had the right to bear arms? So much for the government fearing you. If memory serves, wasn't the amendment to prevent tyranny, like for example, politicians voting against public will?

honestly though I agree. I live in Canada and I can tell you, as peacefula s we are, if someone took away our right to freedom of the internet, they'd be dead quicker then you can say "lawsuit". i wish i was joking.
