Does Torment count as unsung? It's probably the single best CRPG ever released, and the critics realized that, just, nobody actually bought it.Nmil-ek said:Planescape Torment probably the best dialogue and story I have ever seen in a CRPG absolute shame its impossible to get a hold of anymore >_>
Just downloaded it again about a month ago. I've always fucking loved it, and I too think it's weird that not that many people seem to have heard of it.Crazzee said:Shadow Warrior. Wildly fun and silly FPS, based off of Duke Nukem 3D. Barely anyone has heard of it, though. It's great.
I did only played it single player and I felt RIPPED OFF a ghost that can't go through walls need a stupid hole in the wall...Internet Kraken said:I still think Geist was a really fun game to play with some friends. The single player may have been.....sub-par, but I really enjoyed the multiplayer. But I'm the only person I know that actually owns a copy of the game.
God, how did I forget about Bloodlines? And for that matter Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magical Obscura? They're all by Tim Cain, the guy who designed the original Fallout, and they're both really awesome and unsung games.Perwer said:And I think "Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines" is highly underrated. Just download all of the unofficial patches and you're good to go. Great RPG set in a very different atmosphere. It's unlike anything you've played whether you like it, love it or hate it.

I don't think you're entirely alone on that title. It sold enough copies to be a Greatest Hits. I don't exactly know how much that is though. Could be a million, could be ten thousand... I don't know. But enough to where a large amount of people gave two shits about it.Hail Fire 998 said:The Legend of Dragoon. My first RPG and only JRPG i played in my life.
I think the first Soul Reaver was the only one that had "commercial success" everyone kind of lost interest it seemed after that. It a shame to, Amy Hennig knew how to weave a fucking story... as far as LoK goes anyways.tb. said:#1 Is definatly, [Psi Ops: the mindgate conspiracy]

Chrono Trigger is arguably considered one of the best RPGs of all time by people all over the world. No dice man, you're disqualified.notsosavagemessiah said:Chrono Trigger/Cross. There aren't many Jrpg's that are terribly interesting, but these two nail it. Interesting characters, fantastic music, complex and emotionally deep stories, and far and wide considered two of the best of all time, but nobody seems to have played them aside from the hardcore old schoolers.
They're kind of a big deal among the MGS fans, basically because Hideo Kojima was "associated" with it.TheLazyKnight said:Zone of the Enders. I've never really heard anyone talk about it. I loved it.
