Dark Messiah was a fun game, Mount & Blade is a really fun medieval game, without the elves or magic! Then there was True Crime Streets of LA that I picked up waiting for GTA. Not the best game of all time, but it was pretty fun.

And Oi! Considering TF2 Unheard of. Shame on you! Tell that to the over populated +1000 servers on PC.

Shadow Hearts. Rather hardcore JRPG and the most relentless difficulty curve ever conceived, but GOD that was a good game.

Yeah, I was gonna say this. I really enjoyed it back in the day, but nobody ever seems to know it when I mention it. Kinda wish I'd got around to finishing it... never mind.

Also, I know it's not really obscure, particularly around here given Yahtzee reviewed it, but I don't know anyone else in real life that's played No More Heroes.

How has this topic gone on for this long without anyone mentioning BLAST CORPS?! Hands down one of my favorite N64 games ever released. Who wouldn't want to play a game about annihilating entire cities to clear a path for a runaway nuclear warhead?

I thought Oddworld was cancelled/shelved after Strangers Wrath.

I played Abes Oddysee and it was one of the hardest games I've played. Especially tring to get all the green guys.

Oddworld Inhabitants decided to go into advertising after the slow sales for Strangers Wrath. They felt they didn't get enough support from Microsoft at release despite the great reviews.
I think they made a Coke ad.

Gungrave overdose. absolutely the best gunslinger games I've ever played.

Kingsfield the ancient city. (or Kingsfield 4, yes theres an english version.) Best dungeon crawler game i have played so far.

(Kingsfield's half brother) Eternal ring. Best dungeon runner i have played so far.
(dont know if its under appreciated, but theres) The Onimusha games. Ultimately the best demon slayer RPG ever.

Finally we come down to: (again, not sure if its under appreciated beyond my social circle.) Ultima 9. Epic conclusion to an epic series.

I don't think you're entirely alone on that title. It sold enough copies to be a Greatest Hits. I don't exactly know how much that is though. Could be a million, could be ten thousand... I don't know. But enough to where a large amount of people gave two shits about it.

Great game.

Its been nearly forgotten though. In have not known anybody who knew of the game until i joined the escapist. Played it the day before yesterday. It was quite fun.

Last boss got me kinda pissed. He had Dart confused so he hit Rose (instant death) and then Kongol got confused to my people killed each other. intead of fighting the boss. I was about to defeat him too... Anyway, I set my ps1 up just for that game.
