Shogun:total war

Sure,if you're a fan of the series, you know it.BUT,I'm amazed by the amount of people who thought Medieval:total war was the first of the series.
Too bad too, combat in Shogun is probably the best if you put aside graphics(but I won't go into details considering most of it is personal preferences).

If I think of another,I'll drop by again.

I've got one Super Man 64! Just kidding that was not a game it was a sign of the apocalypse. I'm going to say the Ratchet & Clank series.

I tend to avoid one-off obscure titles. Don't know why. The only game that I have completed that even comes close to obscure is Earthbound.

Oh wait, I forgot, Beyond Good and Evil. I had it and I loved that game! I literally picked it up off of the shelf because it looked interesting. Safe to say that was a wise decision.

Many moons ago I played a game called "No One Lives Forever" and to this day it is one of the most fun FPSs I have ever played...graphics were nothing to write home about, but come on it was like nine years ago. Come to find out NO ONE has heard of this frickin' game! Do any of you have an unsung game whose name you'd like to shout from the mountaintops?
Half Life 2 is a fantastic game from a little known deveolpers called Value or something. It's about a mute guy called Gary Freeman kicking some serious alien butt. I love it but no one has ever heard of it. Some hilarious moments and a genuinely attractive female sidekick. Recommend it to everyone here.

Need for Speed Underground series (mainly 2)
I think these were great games, I loved the level of customization you could do in the second one, but I always hear people talking bad about these games even though I still play NFSU2 at least once a month on PS2

Trace Memory for the DS. It was released early in the DS's life (Maybe even a launch title.)
It was a fantastic game but never once have I heard someone mention it.

Esentialy, It was a combination of Myst and...And...GAAAAA-"boooooop"
..............................................................................................
"We are experiencing technical dificulties. The writer's gaming knowledge reservoir has been depleted"
..............................................................................................
"boooooop"-in a disposable waste-paper basket. A sequel has been announced in Japan but no news of a US release.
holy crap, i loved Trace Memory. I also loved its spiritual successor, Hotel Dusk. (Dusk ranks in my top 5 games forever). also unsung and unappreciated: Tales of Phantasia for the GBA, and Castlevania:portrait of Ruin and Dawn of Sorrow

I'd say the Goemon series and the Ogre Battle series. They were so unsung that they won't release it in the western market anymore!
God yes.

Lufia 1 and 2 for the SNES. If you like JRPGs and/or SNES RPGs, then go play these.

Just be aware that while Lufia 1 was released in 1994 and Lufia 2 in 1996, L2 is actually a prequel to L1. You may want to think about playing L2 first, as the opening segment of L1 will spoil the ending of L2.
Good games listed in both quotations. I think I'll purchase the old consoles for reminiscence and nostalgia.

Ahh the classics, but my favorites are bought out from companys such as EA.
Westwood Studios was absorbed into EA but not before releasing my unsung game, Nox.
And rpg that doesn't make you feel pressured at all, infact the starting intro is about you being kidnapped right before your girl makes you some mouth watering bacon as you watch the game. Now Westwood works on another popular game, C&C.

Sadly only about 30 people have ever heard of the game if they've never owned it.

Guardian Legend back on the NES. Just plain awesome, and almost no one's every heard of it.
Man that game was hard at times but made of so much epic for a NES game. Also if anyone likes Shmups, RECCA for the NES was the total shit. So fast, so fun, just total bullet hell and at a speed that if you blinked, game over. I still play it toady on my NES emulator.

Zone of the Enders. I've never really heard anyone talk about it. I loved it.
They're kind of a big deal among the MGS fans, basically because Hideo Kojima was "associated" with it.

"Zone of Enders" was a hot pickup when it first came out because it was sold with a demo disk of the first level of "Metal Gear 2"..

I remember picking it up. The title was good, but way tooo short and the game ended without seemingly having finished off the story. I know a sequel eventually came out, but i felt so ripped off by that first game that i just left it alone.

Anyways my vote goes for "The Thing" on the PS2. I've played through it about 4 times now, and i have yet to meet anyone else who has played it.

I picked up Contract JACK for 4 bucks a few years ago, but, by the time I realized I should have, I could never find NOLF or NOLF2.

Dunno how popular this game is, but it is probably my favorite game of all time: Baldur's Gate 2. It's essentially a cross between Oblivion and the Fallout series (actually the original Fallout games were made by the same developer, Bioware). I've had it for around six years and I still play it. If you want a slightly silly, unique RPG/RTS game then Baldur's Gate is probably your best choice.
Agreed that BG2 is a masterpiece but i see no more resemblence to oblivion or fallout than to any other title? save it has fallout twos 2d isometric view, cept implemented way better and its moral choice system works and has a very important outcome on the game right from the start?

Original Spyro the Dragon.
Croc was also pretty good when you got past the control sensitivity.

Medal of honor: Rising Sun, yes I know it's medal of honor but it made possibly the best 4 player split screen you get 3 friends choose a map all very well designed for split screen and you can turn on 4 other bots and choose their difficulty. It's really the only reason why I keep a gamecube because once a year me and my friends play it to relive the past lol
