Given that Doom, Street Fighter and Mario brothers were classic works of cinematic genius, is anyone else as excited as me about two more of our favorite games getting the Hollywood treatment?
Totally. And also how could I have forgotten Tomb Raider? Another classic. I still don't know why people prefer the Shawshank Redemption to it.Ollie596 said:Doom, Street Fighter and Mario brothers, those films were the best thing made! i simply cannot wait until these films come out.
Don't forget House of the Dead! Why, that one was so good it had actual game footage spliced into it to ramp up the awesome levels!miracleofsound said:Totally. Gears has a lot more potential: see Starship Troopers, but imagine less campiness and comedy and more tragedy and war. It could be done well: it just depends who does it.orannis62 said:I'm willing to give them a shot, even though they probably won't turn out well. I think Gears has more potential for the screen, but we'll see, I guess.
I agree, Mario Bros was pure undiluted excellence, up there with Zombie Strippers.miracleofsound said:Given that Doom, Street Fighter and Mario brothers were classic works of cinematic genius, is anyone else as excited as me about two more of our favorite games getting the Hollywood treatment?
