Leaving Lily in the pokemon center, Gereld and Cindy went outside, and, passing Alex and Chell Battling, left the city , though he didn't go far . He wanted to catch a new pokemon, but he didn't really know what he wanted. Looking around the area, he saw many Rattata, and small green spiders and Spherical owl looking things, which his pokedex told him were called Spinarak and HootHoot respectivly. He didn't really want either those ,so he left them alone. As he and Cindy walked into a clearing, he saw another Pokemon, one that caught his intrest.
It looked like a giant lady bug, but with huge, boxing glove like hands, and ,judgeing from how it was looking around on the ground, was probably foraging for food. Looking at it curiously, he pulled out his pokedex again, and checked it's data on it.
"Ledyba, the Five star Pokemon. It is very timid. It will be afraid to move if it is alone. But it will be active if it is in a group."
Wonder why it's alone? Thought Gereld. Taking advantage of it not knowing he and Cindy were looking at it, he ordered Cindy to tackle it, and, when Cindy had hit it, knocking it off balence he threw his Pokeball, and , after a few wiggles and a ding, It stopped Moving. Picking up the Ball, Gereld, let his new Ledyba out, and it flew right into his face, knocking him to the ground and hugging him all the way.

why would it be so effectionate when I just more or less trapped it in a small ball? Gah, screw it, Pokemon are just wierd like that." Extracting the Pokemon from his face, Gereld Said, "I think I'll name you....Bubba." Returning the pokemon to their pokeballs, Gereld walked back to Violet town.
