"Shake it off, Eevee!" Lily called to her Pokemon. Eevee blinked a few times, thene shook the water off of his fur. "Alright, Eevee back up Matt's Pokemon, use Ta... huh?"

Eevee ran over to Rojo and cried out, "Eevee ee!" Hop on my back, Rojo! The Torchic did so without question. Eevee then jumped high in the air with the Torchic on his back. At the apex of their jump, Eevee rolled forward and used his tail to throw Rojo down at the Machop. "Vee ee ee!" Helping Hand! Rojo delivered a super powerful scratch on the opposing Machop.

Lily stared, dumbfounded. "Uh... What just happened?"

"Chase use Tackle!" Chase stared at the Bellsprout for a couple seconds and tackled it against a tree. He bounced back and stood agressivly at the stumbling plant-like pokemon. It shook the blow off and used Vine Whip against Chase.

"Dodge it!" He commanded but Chase was too slow and took the full brunt of the attack against his left leg. He stumbled briefly and attempted to move out the way of another Vine Whip only to be caught off guard again.

"Shake it off, boy, and use Tackle again!"

"Chico!" Chase growled and whipped his leaf around several times, sending leaves flying towards the Bellsprout. The Bellsprout was sent backwards and hit a tree. It attempted to get back up before fainting.

"Yeah! We did it!" Mike laughed and ran to Chase. The two rejoiced for a moment before Chase finally collapsed out of exhaustion, Mike smiled and picked up his pokemon in his arms. After their encounter with an unusually strong Bellsprout, Chase deserved a long rest and some food.

"I gotcha, buddy. Let's go back to the pokemon center." He smiled, but he had no idea he was being watched.

Matt and the other trainer looked just as confused. "Grr... dont just stand there and take that! Poliwag Bubble, Machop try another Lowkick!" She ordered, The Machop warily looked at the other two, rubbing where Rojos painful scratches were delivered before trying for another Lowkick on Eevee, succeeding in stumbling the fox pokemon.
"Rojo, back her up with a growl!" Matt ordered, and Rojo complied with a dangerous growling noise, intimidating the other two to lower the attack, but unfortunately gaining the Poliwags attention and getting blasted with the bubbles, making her stumble a bit

Charles went flying back slightly dazed from the blunt force of the Caterpie.
"Thats Okay shake it of buddy and use Tackle,"
Knowing only how to charge into stuff and shake his booty, Charles River went and did the more sensible thing, Tackling the Caterpie's weak point for massive damage.

The tackle was the last straw for the small catterpiler, as it's weakpoint was hit for massive damage it fell to it's side, unconcious.
"B-but my pokemon..." he said, sounding sad that he lost his first battle. He recalled the injured thing and walked up to Chell. "Dont think yer great for winning. But here ya go" he said begrudingly as he handed her a few crinkled PoKe dollars at her before running off to the Pokecenter

"Quick Eevee, hit that blue one again, don't let it mess with us! Tackle!"

Landing on all fours, the Eevee bolted at its target, and leaped at the Poliwag, blindsiding it and knocking it over, causing it to roll along the floor, helplessly..

Alex patted Cecily on the cheek. "Come on, Cecily. Wake up, girly." Cecily slowly opened her eyes and helped herself up. Alex pulled out a pokeball and returned her. "Take a rest girl. Come on out, Rhodes!" The Zubat popped out of the pokeball. "Let's go follow them!"

"Rojo, get up and finish off the Poliwag with one last scratch" Matt ordered as Rojo picked herself up from the ground and lunged at the fallen tadpole Pokemon. After delivering a few sharp blows the Poliwag gave up. "Grr.... Poliwag return!" The other trainer ordered as it was beamed back into it's ball. She then turned to her last pokemon.
"Come on, show them that they cant get away with treating us like that!" She said to the Machop, who sneered at the Eevee and Torchic before running up and giving a savage Lowkick to Eevee, dropping her to the ground.

Stumbling out of the Pokemon center, Gereld finally saw Alex, who he somehow missed in his search of the Center, and, seeing that he was about to leave asked"Hey! Can I come with you, wherever your going?"
I probably won't be able to get on much today, I'm just letting Gereld Get to where everyone else is.

"Ee..." Eevee groaned as he struggled to his feet. Wobbling at the knees, he backed up closer to Lily.

"Come on, boy! Keep fighting! Use a Tail Whip!"

Eevee moved forward, with less gusto this time, and shook it's bushy brown tail right in the Machop's eyes, then backed off to give Rojo some room to attack.

[HEADING=2]A new challenger appears![/HEADING]

Name: Eric Chance

Age: 16

Appearance: Long uncombed blue hair. Initially seen wearing a Poke'mart apron and matching hat. When he goes on his journey however he dons a green jacket, blue jeans and a black shirt with a picture of a Pokeball on it. He will occasionally wear a black hat backwards if in the mood. He is rather tall for his age.

Hometown: Violet city. Lives with his father, the owner of the Poke'mart in Violet city.

Bio:

Bio/History: Brash, rebellious but kind to those who deserve it; Eric (who insists on being called Lucky) is tired of Violet city. His father, wanting him to become a Monk as he was before he went into business, sent him to Sprout Tower when he was 10. Although he learned much, after two years he couldn't take it anymore. He had a disliked his Bellsprout and eventually released it. This prompted the Head Monk to agree to let him leave.

His father, heartbroken that his son didn't want to stay in the order, made Eric earn his stay by working in the Poke'mart. Angrily working furiously during the day, he would secretly go for strolls by himself during the night.

On the night of his fifteenth birthday his life changed forever when he was confronted during his stroll by a large, fiery Pokemon. Alone, for he no longer had his Bellsprout, he thought he would perish. It moved towards him, roaring loudly when suddenly a Growlithe appeared inbetween him and the beast and roared. Seeming to nod, the giant ran into the forest in a blur.

The Growlithe turned to Eric and cocked his head. Eric pulled out one of the promotional premiere balls he always had on him to help get trainers buying from the shop. He pulled it and caught the Pokemon without any instruction whatsoever. He immediately tossed the ball and began to familiarize himself with the Growlithe. Becoming fast best friends, he named him Dash.

When his father learned about Dash he was initially skeptical about Eric's newfound desire to become a trainer. However, after watching the two bonding from a distance he softened. He refused to pay for Eric to go to the trainer school and Eric refused to return to the tower. In the end Eric won after storming away a number of times, making his father worry about the possibility of him leaving without the knowledge he needed. They ended up training together.

After a few months of intense training he began to challenge the local trainers, earning the ire of many a bug catcher burned in their way. Despite the warnings of his father, he challenged the gym and was thoroughly beaten. Determined to return victorious, he began battling wild Pokemon in the routes outside the city limits.

After tasting the adventure of training outside of the city, Eric's urge to leave his hometown exploded. He returned to tell his dad he was ready to go. His father was not convinced he was ready and forbade him from leaving.

Still working for his father, he spent his savings on travel items at a rival store (so his father wouldn't know). He was going home to change into his casual clothing when he first encounters the gang.

Bio: Brash, rebellious but kind to those who deserve it; Eric (who insists on being called Lucky) is tired of Violet city. After ditching the monk order of sprout tower (much to his father's dismay), he gloomily worked at the Poke'mart out a Pokemon. However, late on the night of his birthday he had an incredible encounter which led him to becoming the owner of a Growlithe, which he named Dash. After training non-stop (although losing to the gym), he was in the middle of planning to go off adventuring on his own when he ran into the gang.

Items: 8 potions, 4 Awakening, 2 Parlyz Heal, 7 antidote, 6 Premiere promotional balls.

He also has a change of clothes, a water-bottle, a harmonica and a very small one person tent.

Having spent a lot of his money preparing for a journey alone, he only has $36 left for the trip.

Pokemon:

Growlithe (Dash):

Fast and strong, Dash is a fierce offensive Pokemon that lacks any decent defense. To counter this Eric and Dash trained long and hard to increase evasion his evasion skills. Dash knows Bite, roar and Ember as well as having the natural ability of Flash Fire although neither Eric or Dash himself knows this.
[sub]The Escapist doesn't want me to have multiple spoilers within spoilers DX I guess I'll post Eric's first scene in the Nom'd post below.[/sub]

Eric was walking home for the last time. His Dad just didn't understand the thrill of being out alone, fighting wild Pokemon and trainers. He had already done everything there was to do in Violet city. It was time to go traveling. He was still wearing his Poke'mart apron as he had just finished his shift.

I'll never have to wear this thing again!

He imagined a life of battling in tournaments and traveling across the world, living off of his prize winnings. Now that was a job! He was tired of giving out potions and Pokeballs to the local trainers. They all knew better than to fight him again. He was the ace trainer of the city. He just wished he could beat Falkner. Well, he would come back stronger and would take the gym leader challenge. One step at a time, right?

He tossed his white Premiere Pokeball and Dash materialized beside him.

"Growlithe!" he cried happily. Eric bent down and brushed his head fondly.

"Today we start our journey Dash! I'm all set, how about you?"

The Growlithe playfully bit at his leg. "I know, I know! I want to get going to!"

They walked further down the city when he spotted something odd. Trainers? These weren't the local bug catchers. Could be fun!

As he walked closer he could definitely see that they weren't from here. He grinned and Growlithe cried happily. They always liked new challenges.

"Hey there!" he called out to the trainers. "If you want to battle the best trainer in town, meet me in the woods to the west! I'll be waiting!"

After saying that he strolled away grinning. If none showed up, they weren't worth his time. If someone did show up, that was a trainer worth fighting.

"Growlithe, growl!"

"We'll leave a little later. Why not have some fun while we're still here?"

* * *

Dash was snoozing peacefully in the shade beside Eric, who was leaning against a tree. He checked his Pokegear.

"Well, its been a few minutes. Want something to ea- Nevermind, here they come."

He spotted a group of people walking towards him. He rubbed his hands in anticipation.

A Pokemon RP sounds great to me :D

Matt took the opportunity that Eevee made to finish the batte. "Rojo, finish things now! One last attack" he said, and Rojo responded by launching herself at the Machop with a final bevy of scratches, the other pokemon finaly fell under the attacks and fell to the ground, beaten badly from the fight. "... Machop, return" she said viciously, the other trainer was not taking her loss well. "You win, and heres your reward" she said as she stormed over and handed both of them a few small bills before storming out of the tower.
"Heh, I guess we showed her" he said to Lily, before noticing how Rojo exhasuted Rojo looked. "Are you okay?" He murmured as he walked over to the little pokemon, she nodded but almost fell down as she took a step towards him. "Hmm, I think I have something for you" he said as he removed his pack and took out the single potion he had. He took the spray medicine and gave Rojo a liberal dose, it seemed to take most of the pain away, but she was still tired.

Alex heard a Growlithe off in the distance. "Hmm???" He looked back and Rhodes perched himself on his back "Zuuubatatatatatat!" The Zubat flew down to it to say hello "Zubat! Zuuubatatatatatatat!" He chittered happily as Alex walked over Cecily in his arms. "Yo. Looks like Rhodes is saying hello. "

Eric smiled.

"You here to battle?"

Dash got up slowly and calmly. Both trainer and Pokemon looked calm and relaxed but were ready to spring to action at any moment.

Flying type huh? Hmmm.... We'll have to use that Roar/Ember combo.

"I'm Eric and I'm going to be the best!"

Alex looked at Rhodes. "Hmmm... Lemme check with Cecily."
He set the blue crocodile down and shook up a potion. He then proceeded to spray it on her and she seemed to feel a lot better.
"Why not?"
"Alright, Rhodes. Let's do this!!!"
The Zubat grinned "Bat!"
"Then let's start out with supersonic!" The little bat started to chitter quickly and barrage the Growlithe with supersonic waves.

Did you check if this was ok with Silverwings and Zirat?

Lily walked over to her own Pokemon and kneeled down on her good leg. "Good fight, Eevee. Can you stand?"

The Eevee nodded vigorously in response.

"Good," she smiled. "Then you can still fight." She pulled out her Pokeball and returned Eevee to his ball. She looked up to Matt. "Shall we continue to the top?"
