Uprising - A Pokemon RP

"It doesn't really matter to me, anything is fine. How about that Italian place over there?" Jason asked, pointing in the direction of a restaurant a little ways away from the Pokemon Center. Bagon began to trot happily towards he restaurant as if everyone's mind was already made up.

"Oh, hey, that thing knows Headbutt?" Darrel asked, pointing at the rather stupid-looking Mareep. "That could be useful, man. See if it can knock down a rare Pokemon or something."

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex shook his head. "No it doesn't know headbutt as far as I know." Alex squinted at the tree. There were a bunch of yellow cones "What are those?" He fished his glasses out of his pocket and put them on to see and immediatly regretted it. "Chell... Darrel. We have to go. Now." He pushed them with urgency as a loud buzzing noise filled the air. "Damn it, Horus!"

 

[Zirat]

"Heh, I'm not picky so sounds good to me" he said with a small laugh and looked at Lily. "Well then, ready to go?" He asked her as he started to walk towards the restaurant, Tenshi still sticking close to him but Rojo charging off full speed once she realized food was being talked about.

"Beedrill?!" Screamed Darrel, as dozens of the bees came swarming from the bushes. Spike was immediately on the job, scratching away at any that approached the trainers, while Puck used Hypnosis to put several to sleep. Darrel quickly fled, leading the group as his Pokemon covered the rear.

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex shouted orders to his pokemon. "Horus! use headbutt on them! Rhodes! Supersonic then leech life! Cecily use a high pressure watergun to keep them back! Chell! GET OUT OF HERE NOW!"
The pokemon sprung into action to aid Puck and Spike. Horus stopped ramming the tree and charged at one of the beedrill and made an impact with the lead one. Rhodes fluttered around in the midst of them and blasted them with supersonic rays, every so often taking a nip at them and Cecily continued to blast them with water gun while backing up with the rest of them. Alex recalled Horus and made a run for it after the other two.

"Sure," she smiled, "let's!" Lily walked back to the counter and took Eevee's Pokeball. Attaching it to her waist, she set off with Jason, Matt, Gerald and their large entourage of Pokemon. Thinking about what she had said, she realized she had made a fool of herself. She had seen the massacre at New Bark Town... What's to say she wouldn't get caught up in another one?

Jason got the restaurant first, and got the others a table near one of the larger windows overlooking the lake. He sat down and called Bagon over to him who nodded eagerly and dashed over, jumping onto the windowsill and gazing out at the lake. Jason began thinking to himself about he would be doing later, he needed to train his Pokemon of course but he didn't know were to begin doing so.

Leaning close enough to Matt so no one else could hear him but Matt, Gereld, embarressed immensly (It's far easier to think about then actually do. He thought) Gereld whispered " I'm pretty much broke, so could lend me a few dollars. I promise I'll pay you back as soon as I can."

Spoiler: Meanwhile, in another part of Violet City...

After his encounter with Alex and Darrel at the tower, Eric wandered around the forest near Violet lake. He was kicking trees during the night, sending out Dash to battle the annoyed Hoothoots that would emerge. He liked the experience but didn't want to catch one. They reminded him too much of his father.

Dad... He's probably already read the letter. Well, there is no going back now.

He pitched his tent in the dark woods, had Dash start a fire and cooked some of the food he brought along for himself. He gave his Pokemon some Pokemon food and went to sleep. He woke up a few hours later however, just not sleeping well. Probably from staying up too late training. Dash had lain beside him, keeping him plenty warm.

You're the best pal a guy could ask for Dash!

He called back Dash to his white Pokeball and took a stroll to the west. He eventually came across Violet Lake.

Why am I still here?

He gazed at the Gym across the lake, the lights glimmering across the water. He just didn't want to leave without a badge...

He was confident he could defeat Falkner's Pidgey without breaking a sweat but that Pidgeotto was tough.

I have items now... But I really need someone to switch up with...

He spotted the island in the lake and sighed. He had spent so much time there, borrowing an Old Rod from a family friend and training that stupid Bellsprout.

"Wait a minute!" he spoke aloud. "I left that weird stone back there! I should take it with me."

He left his pack and jumped into the lake. It was colder than he had remembered but it was early in the morning. He swam to the island and rested a moment on the small beach. Picking himself up, he walked into the center of island and looked under a tree.

"Where is it?" Suddenly, from the corner of his eye he saw something blue walking away into the bushes quietly. It seemed to be carrying something...

"Hey, get back here!"

Eric threw out Dash and leapt to block the Pokemon's path.

Matt looked over to Gereld and nodded, he knew that he didnt want to make anything big about and and looked around, none of the others were to be seen with Jason already in the restaurant and Lily not far behind him. Matt stopped for a moment and took out his wallet, it held all of his money in the world now. He took out a good deal of them and handed them over quickly.
"Dont worry about paying back" he said as he walked ahead to the destinaion, Rojo having already squeezed her way inside and was looking for the Bagon to see where the others were sitting.

The small Poliwag was wandering away after a succesful day of foraging. It had happened across a small stone that had caught its attention, something that seemed to give off a warm energy, so it had decided to pick it up and carry its treasure away. But before it could get to safety its path was cut off by a Growlithe leaping into it's path.
This shocked the Poliwag enough that the stone rolled out of its mouth, but it quickly rebounded by blowing a spray of bubbles at the offending canine.

"thanks" said Gereld, who thought I'll pay him back, even if he doesn't want me too. As this went on, Cindy and Bubba followed Rojo in, Racing each other to the door.

Lily followed behind the others' Pokemon into the restaurant. Scanning the room, she quickly found Jason. Lily walked over to the table he was at and sat down across from him. She smiled at Jason.

Lily took out Eevee's Pokeball and stared at. 'Well... Are you ready to win now, Eevee? I am... If you're as strong as people say... This should be no problem.' she smirked at the thought of an easy win over that cocky Falkner. 'But... Are you strong enough to keep me alive?'

She frowned, deep in thought.

"Damn it Chell, MOVE!" Darrel shouted, grabbing the girl by the wrist and dragging her along. As the Beedril approached them Puck dropped into their path and used a Mass-Hypnosis, dropping a chunk of the swarm on the spot. Puck set to work knocking them out with repeated Scratch attacks, muttering furiously as he did. While he was off guard, one Beedrill hit Spike in his back, knocking him to the ground and doing major damage. However, all it accomplished was activating Spike's Anger Point ability, which send him into a bloodcurdling rage. He jumped onto the Beedrill and furiously scratched away until it was KO'd.

Seeing that his work was done, the little Mankey scrambled to catch up to the others.

Dash yelped at the bubbles that stung his face but quickly sprinted around the Poliwag.

"Bite it!"

Dash gave it a sharp bite on its small tail. Eric fumbled in his pocket.

I have only one Pokeball with me...

He had to make it count but he was going to wait a little longer before tossing it.

Gereld, Bubba and Cindy got to the table next, with Cindy and Bubba joining Bagon at the window and Gereld sitting down, watching them out of the corner of his eye to make sure they stayed out of trouble.

"Those are the manliest bees ever! ROW ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH!!!" Shouts Chell as she is dragged away from the beedrills.

Matt was the last to the table and take a seat next to Lily, Tenshi still clinging to his back the whole time, and Rojo joining the group of pokemon looking out the window before getting bored with the view. "So, that makes all of us that are coming now it seems" he said, looking around the somewhat populated restaurant

The Bite made the small Poliwag jump into the air with a wimpering noise as it spun around, it backed away with a vaguely threatening Growl as it stared down both the Growlithe and trainer as it tried to make a way to an escape.

Darrel's heart leapt a bit as he heard someone else quote his favorite show. He had to shake off the excitement though, and kept running. He looked back to see the last of the Beedrills finally break the chase, Puck and Spike taunting it as it ran away. He let go of Chell's wrist and hunched over, gasping for breath as he surveyed his surroundings. They appeared to only be a little ways off from Violet Town now, though it had become so dark you could hardly see anything.

After he had regained his breath, Darrel stood back up and called his Pokemon back to their balls. "That, was definitely more training than I had in mind."

"Dash, circle then bite!"

"Growlithe growl!!" cried Dash excitedly. He span around the slower Poliwag swiftly and bit its side hard. The Poliwag staggered a little, struggling to stand but it still managed to get another Bubble attack out. Dash yelped in pain.

"Stand back Dash!" shouted Eric as he threw the white premiere ball. The Poliwag disappeared into the ball and it came to a rest on the mossy ground.

Come on... Come on...

It twitched once, twice...thrice! There was a click.

"Yes!!" shouted Eric, Dash howling triumphantly too. Eric didn't care that he probably woke up the whole town, he caught a Pokemon without any training! He picked up the warm red stone and put it in his pocket.

And Dad said watching TV was a waste of time. Poke'safari rocks!

"Hmmm... What should I name you? ...Well, I should probably heal you first."

He swam back across the lake after calling Dash back. He pulled out a potion from his pack and threw out the Poliwag. It glared at him angrily but lost its balance and fell into the sand on its side.

"Here you go bud." The spray worked like magic, revitalizing the little water Pokemon. It continued to look at him with hostility.

"Hmm, a tough guy huh? You remind me of that small monk from the tower... Let's call you Jason."

The newly christened Poliwag replied to this by spraying a stream of small bubbles in his face. Wiping his face with his hands, Eric patted the fierce little Pokemon fondly.

"I can't wait to train you!" He called back Jason and headed back to his camp.
