Uprising - A Pokemon RP

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

Alex didn't look away. "Sure thing." He handed the pokedex back to him without looking, accidentally bonking him in the head. "Horus! Headbutt! Nina, counter with Harden!"

The Mareep glared and charged at Nina, her antenna tapping the ground, seconds before Horus made contact she huddled down and her skin tinted grey. Horus's head smashed against Nina's and sent her scraping back. Alex clapped separating them. "Good job, you guys! You see that, Eric?!"

"Pooch, Tackle!" Sid yelled for lack of better words but he understood Sid's orders. Without hesitation Pooch charged through the bushes and before the Pikachu could counter with Thunderbolt, slammed into it's chest. Pooch bounced back and the Pikachu sent a thunderbolt whizzing passed Sid's head.

"Heads up, everyone!" Sid yelled.

When the group enter the Azalea Town limits; Chell followed, by Steve and Beetle, ran right for the hair salon to get her new short hair done in a style that didn't say ripped out by douche nozzle.

"Please fix my hair." said Chell when she walked into the salon.
"Hey no problem little missy, I know just the thing!" said the barber

Chell said in the chair and the Barber worked his magic

"Its wonderful thank you, Antonio" she said giving the barber a hug
"You wear it well, Chell" he said as she paid him.

She walked over to the waiting area where Steve and Blue Beetle were sleeping.
"Come on you two its not that bad." she said as the three head to the next stop,

"ARGH I'd rather be anywhere else right now" Muchlaxed Steve

"Aww come on buddy, its not so bad, least you aren't with that one jerk with the Mankey." Heracrossed Beetle with a shrug

"Good point, but its soooo boring." said Steve
"Aww Chin up, how much longer could we be..." said Beetle.
The three approached the local clothing store.
"I'm shopping for a new outfit." said Chell as they entered

=Several Hours, and 100s of outfits, Later=

The store was littered with discarded outfits, A brazzer managed to find its way on top of Blue Beetle's head. Steve was napping on a shitty pile of horns dresses.

"I want this one" said Chell
The poor sales woman's eye twitched, and tears welled up, "B-b-but thats the first one you picked" she sobbed
"I know, I like it now" said Chell smiling politely, hand over the money
"Fine, take it and never come back"cried the woman, as Chell and her pokemon left the store, Chell already wearing her new clothes.

Ted Kord aka Blue Beetle and Chell felt the sudden urge to pose, like this just got real!

Eric tossed out the Pidgey and it looked at him, perplexed.

"Hiya, I'm your new buddy Eric! This is Jason." said Eric, gesturing towards the Poliwag. Jason just ignored him, wandering around looking for other pokemon to fight.

The Pidgey chirped happily. It seemed this one had been around trainers before or something.

"Let's just learn more about you."

He held up the Pokedex and let it identify the bird.

"Pidgey has an extremely sharp sense of direction. It is capable of unerringly returning home to its nest, however far it may be removed from its familiar surroundings. Wild specimens do not like to fight, preferring to kick up sand and fleeing danger. It hides in tall grass and forges for food such as small bugs."

"Cool!" said Eric, flipping through the menus of the Pokedex. He was unfamiliar with it and it took a few attempts to make it examine his Pidgey more closely.

"This Pidgey is a three year old female. It knows the techniques Tackle and Sand Attack."

"You're a girl huh? Hmmm.... I'll call you Jenna!"

Jenna chirped happily, taking to the sky and flying a few loops before landing.

Eric started reading the Pokedex's move index.

Interesting...

Horus perked up and ran towards the where Sid and Lily ran off to. And rammed straight into bolt of lightning.

"What?" Alex gaped at his stupid sheep. It took him a second to realize that he should check on Horus, when he caught up with the sheep, he realized that Horus shouldn't be touched. As his wool was crackling with red bolts of static. "I really don't want to touch you..."

As Pooch landed back on the ground, something primal awoke inside him. His eyes narrowed, he dug is claws into the ground and lifted his head to gave a eerie howl.
"AWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

And as his head dropped he gave a vicious snarl and launched himself at the Pikachu, hitting it square in the gut and sending it flying.

The Pikachu stood it's ground and growled at Pooch. Pooch did the same, stood his ground and growled at the Pikachu. Just when the stand ofr seemed like it would never end the Pikachu sent another thunderbolt towards Pooch.

"Dodge it, Pooch!"

He did his best to follow Sid's command and steped to the side. When he did, his foot caught the roots of the same tree that tripped Sid and fell to the floor. The thunderbolt grazed through his black fur and zapped the tree behind him. After the close encounter Pooch jumped up and raised all the fur on his back.

"Okay, boy. Use tackle again!" Sid commanded, Pooch obeyed and slammed into the Pikachu. Right before the connection, the Pikachu used Thundershock and Pooch received the force straight to the top of the head. The pikachu stood up, triumphantly and Pooch lay on the ground unconscious.

"Pooch!" Sid gasped, "Damn it!"

Sid closed his eyes and threw the pokeball in frustration. As the Pikachu celebrated its victory, the pokeball connected with the back of it's head. It fell next to Pooch, out cold, and the red light pulled the Pokemon in. After several seconds it dinged Sid looked back and saw the lone pokeball and no pikachu. He threw his hands in the air in triumph and stood there.

Matt had followed Alex to check on his own pokemon, out of the fact that he had very little of anything to do on his own, and peered through the brush to see the back of Sid finish his fight with some pokemon a fair distance away.
"Hmm... he's doing good for himself" he regarded, as he glanced down to his side to see the Mareep glowering about something, it's volume of fluff seemed to have doubled with the mass build up of static electricity coursing through it.
"Hey Alex, your sheep seems to be looking more like a walking marshmellow now then a pokemon" he said, chuckling as he reached a hand down to pat it's head, but overshot a bit and landed his hand deep into its fleece, the Mareep just got a determined look on its face as it surged the excess electricity up his arm in a powerful Thundershock
"ARGGGGGHHHHH!!!" He screamed, first out of suprise then pain as the sudden shock coursed up him, he grabbed his arm with his free hand since it didnt respond to his command, and yanked it out, the limb dangled sickeningly limp at his side as he felt pins and needles running up and down his arm.
Horus simply had his face turn back to that of dull contentness as he suddenly deflated due to having vented the excess electricity

Alex rushed over to Matt and returned Horus to his ball. "Shit! I'm so sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" Alex proceeded to lead Matt to the nearest pokemon center, constantly apologizing along the way.

Nina seemed to snicker at Matt's pain behind at his back but quieted down when Tenshi moved to follow Matt, and she scuttled after him.

Eric was studying the information about the effects of moves carefully when he heard a scream of pain. Looking to his left, he spotted Matt recoiling from Alex's Mareep and watched Alex as walked away with him.

Heh, I remember being shocked as a kid putting a fork in the socket. It isn't fun.

He closed his eyes briefly, enjoying the sensation of the gentle sun and the hard sun on his back.

Screw the city, this is paradise...

He heard something in the grass next to him and grinned. Whipping out Dash's ball, he turned to Jenna who was still on the ground.

"We're going to practice double battling now!"

The little bird seemed bored by the idea but followed his commands into the tall grass regardless.

Darrel lazed around inside of the gym, getting a bit bored. Maybe Bugsy hadn't gotten back yet? He considered leaving to wait but knew his opportune spot would be taken by somebody else. It was just the way his luck seemed to work. So, he stayed and waited a few minutes before getting impatient.

"Yo, Bugsy! You back yet?" He called out, to double-check if the gym leader really hadn't returned.

Chell was unable to wake Steve so she put him back in his pokeball. Her and Beetle made there way back to the others, Only to see Matt spazing out on the ground.
"MATTIE! are you okay." she said worried about her friend.

Jason walked away from the others, leaving them alone while he went into the middle of Azalea Town. He wanted to go check out Illex Forest before taking on his cousin. Jason knew exactly what Pokemon Bugsy had, and with this knowledge he could try and catch Pokemon that might do a little extra damage against them. Jason sighed, sitting down on the grass outside of the building that led out into the Illex Forest, releasing Sandshrew and Bagon so that they could get to know each other better before their gym battle.

He saw the others across Town, and he saw Lily off on her own doing something that seemed important so he didn't want to bother any of them. Instead, Jason stood up and motioned for the others to follow him into the forest. He would catch a Pokemon really quickly, and then he would join the others without them ever knowing he had gone.

"Well, looks like me an' Pooch are finished." Sid grinned while picking up the unconscious Poochyena. He put the Pikachu's pokeball in what was a pocket and sat underneath a tree stroking the fur on Pooch's head. He smiled at the thought that he was actually doing something instead of wasting away in Violet City, then his comment that he made about Red came back. It seemed like an impossible task, Red is the greatest pokemon trainer on the planet but that doesn't mean he will be forever. It would be great if a lowly street rat could rise up to be stronger than the mighty Red, the boy who destroyed a major crime syndicate on his own. Sid grinned even wider realizing that this is what he wanted to do.

"Pooch... me and you are gonna beat Red... someday." Sid grinned, "Someday."

Eric was walking towards the Pokemon Center, needing to rest up the troops before challenging Bugsy when he stopped. Sitting underneath sat the boy he heard mentioned as Sid. He looked very familiar for some reason.

"How's it going? I'm Eric."

I swear I know this kid.

Matt was swearing under his breath as Alex dragged him to the pokemon center, but eventualy he managed to shove him off. "No! No, dont worry about it, I'm starting to get the feeling back" he said as he raised his arm, or atleast tried to and only managed to get it halfway. He wasnt in pain anymore but he was still feeling pins and needles up and down his arm.
"Goddam, didnt think your sheep had it in him though" he said with a half smile, trying to lighten the mood a bit

"Hi, I'm Sid." Sid grinned, "Nice to meet you."

Sid looked up at Eric for really the first time and the grin immediately disappeared. He coulda sworn he saw this guy before in Violet City but he wasn't sure. He sat there studying Eric's face for a moment and shrugged. If he had been in Violet City before, then they hadn't crossed paths before.

Eric spotted the frown, despite it being replaced pretty fast.

He seems to know me too...

"How's your Pokemon doing? Looks like he's out cold."

Dash came walking through the grass and stopped when he saw Pooch. He hadn't forgotten the incident at the cave. Unsure of what his master would say if he starting to growl, he sat beside Eric and purposely looked off in a different direction.

"He took a thunkershock pretty hard. But Pooch is a survivor, he'll come to." Sid said, stroking his head some more. Sid was a little relieved when Pooch let out a sigh but he was still worried about him.

"The Pikachu is out cold too. He, uh... took a pokeball to the back of the skull." Sid smiled and tapped the back of his head.

"Cool. I hear Pikachu's are very powerful, you're lucky to have found one out here." He stared at Sid for a moment, trying to remember...

"You aren't from Violet city are you? I worked at the Pokemart there and I seem to remember you."

You... I think...

"Uh..." Sid stalled, "Y-you're not going to throw rocks at me... are you?"

Sid gripped Pooch tighter and got prepared to run at the slightest hint of hostility. If he couldn't find Lily immediately then he'd go take refuge in the Pokemon Center. Sid knew he'd saw Eric before, he couldn't remember if he'd thrown rocks at him but Sid would know if he did something kind to him in the past.
