As many have said before me, its utter insanity. If they HAD NOT put in african-american zombies, he would've said the exact same thing.

Read the post, the man is a tool. It is people like him who perpetuate stereotypes and incite hatred, his kind are a relic of a bygone age. Most of the gamers i meet online are the ost tolerant people in the world, okay you get the occasioal ignorent tool but clearly there are a few left out there. I mean nine times outta ten your never gonna know or care about what race or creed your opponant or teammate is? This guy really needs a slap, the flag offends him.... bs and worst of all that "youll never guess what colour the African zombies were.... What ****ing colour was he expecting the Smurfs were the primary inhabitants of Africa??

Well at least in Resident Evil 5 I could kind of see why people were calling it racist. But Left 4 Dead 2? Really? Like the article says, their are people of all colors as the zombies you shoot. Also two of the main characters are black, but as soon as you put the setting as the South, it becomes racist? OMG I'm so sorry, I had no idea that it was a stereotype that black people, oh excuse me, African Americans, live in New Orleans. I guess its racist to say black people live in Africa also? I swear to god this country is getting wore and worse everyday. We can't find a balance between racism in this country. Either the blacks are being discriminated against, or they pull the slavery culture card against the whites and suddenly were being racist setting a game in some location were in fact, African Americans live. If I hear one more allegation of a video game being racist, I swear to god I'm leaving for France.

Speaking from experience, In the US, for some reason, it's culturally acceptable to hate anyone EXCEPT black people.

I wonder if this guy is white, I can't imagine any black gamers I know getting upset about this.

I think he was making a deal out of the New Orleans thing as well... but I don't get that either :( for once in my life I've been confused by a Texan (Pronouncing Texan the same way I'd pronounce tapeworm) :(

The Confederate flag is not a symbol of racism, dammit!
Sure, there are some idiots, like klansmen, who misuse it, but they also misuse the crusifix, too!
The Confederacy itself wasn't about white supremacy, either! A lot of states wanted to keep slavery, but the essence of the war was about a different governmental mindset: The North wanted the states wanted a federal government with all the power while the Confederacy wanted the states to be independent, almost to the point of being their own individual countries.
Irk! Exaggerating morons!
Well. As late as the 80s (Reagan) I understand that State's rights was just another way of saying yes, you can keep being racist. Reagan even gave a major speech in the same place where three civil rights activists were murdered in the summer of 1964: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia,_Mississippi#History

he's making mountains out of molehills. i see the media trying to butcher video games the same way they tried to butcher cigarettes and tobacco... what they didn't account for is the massive base of fans that couldn't give a shit if you think their games are racist, when for a fact they know they aren't. either that or videogames are to be blamed for all our issues in the world...

Ugh, No game is intentionally racist. I think the media has just found a new grab line since there hasn't been a recent murder they can try to blame loosely on a game.

On a side note, how does this make news when people saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen? If they want to pull a race card I say go after Micheal Bay. The ghetto bots were far more offensive than a group of mowed down zombies.

OH MY GOD! HE SHOT A ZOMBIE! THIS IS PREJUDICE AGAINST THE ZOMBIE RACE!

...

People worry far too much about Political Correctness and this is where it leads. When you have zombies and characters reflecting many ethnicities it's incredibly stupid to cry racism. I am rather sick of hearing about how games are racist, sexist or whatever, when there is no ground for it.

Thank you for protecting the confederacy, and amen to that!

Call of Juarez isn't racist . I mean, just because of a flag ? I have 2 Confederate flags on the wall of my computer room - i like the music, the colors and everything.

It's like saying Resident Evil 5 is Racist, because it takes place in Africa. Sheesh.

Get over it, you attention whores.

First there's the L4D2 boycott and I'm thinking "well this is just stupid" then this comes along and utterly redefines what stupid is for me.
