Laguna looked at Tophat for a second. "...I'm gonna go somewhere with slightly more sanity." He stood, and walked over to the figures from the stands. "Hey there. More new guys, huh?"
"More subhumans and animals, I expect." Diana said from her chair. Laguna shot her a look, then turned back to the newcomers. "Ignore her."

James snorted.

"What, are you taking the piss? What do you...mean..." He trailed off and frowned.

"Actually, this all does seem weirdly familiar. Like a really specific case of Deja Vu."

Tophat glanced at Diana.
"People like you always try to put yourself above other people and creatures, when the difference is so small. It's pathetic, really."
It turned its attention back to James and frowned.
"Damn, have I met you before. Curse my awful memory..."

When Diana spoke, one of the two soldiers bristled, while the other glared at her. The first one began to stride towards her.
"Subhuman? What sickness of the mind has taken you, to allow you to speak to your betters so?" He barked, his voice that of the educated upper class, pompous and condescending."Do you not realise that you..."

"Cas'Va." The admonition from the tall, robed being came at barely more than a conversational volume and tone, but the soldier stiffened as though he'd been slapped, then stepped back and faced the taller one.

"Yes, Lord Drayven?" He replied warily.

"I believe we have discussed this matter before, have we not? While you travel as my retainer, we assume that all creatures are our equals until proven otherwise." The taller man said peacefully, yet firmly. The soldier glowered, but bowed his head.

"Yes my Lord. Forgive my transgression." he muttered. The taller figure dismissed the incident with a lazy wave of his hand.

As Laguna approached during this exchange the other soldier turned to face him, staring him down quietly.

Laguna looked at the soldier staring him down, feeling a bit uncomfortable, then turned to the robed figure, giving a small bow. "Drayven, huh? Nice to meet you milord."

Diana smiled at the anrgy soldier being verbally slapped down, then looked at Tophat over the back of her chair. "Says the man who has deluded himself into thinking he is a living piece of clothing."

"This has been happening far too often lately." James groaned, shaking his head. "You don't know four sisters named the Masons, by any chance? They wear these weird bullet-proof maid's outfits?" As he spoke to Tophat he watched the newcomers warily, recognising that at least one of the soldiers was on edge and already prone to aggression. He glanced at Diana too, surprised by her apparently deliberate hostility to the others.

Drayven looked down at Laguna from his impressive height and smiled, imperious and benign.

"And you as well, human. It is rare for us to recieve such polarising reactions in a single room when travelling among your race. Then again, I had never seen humans indulge in such a spectacle as that which we saw outside until now."

The soldier named Cas'Va glared silently at Diana as she smirked. The other soldier rapped on his pauldron and looked away from Laguna in order to stare meaningfully at him, shaking his head. Cas'Va scowled and looked away.

Tophat looked straight at Diana, and she would feel its stare pierced her very soul. Suddenly she would see a vision, spanning over half a millenia of Tophat's memories. The vision was only ten seconds long, and the great speed of it would make her very disoriented.
(To Diana: I have heard quite enough from an ignorant fool like you. Be grateful that I have learned patience during my lifetime, or your mind would have been BOILED!)

In reality, Tophat only glanced at Diana before looking back at James.
"Ah, I do believe I do. But it was long ago, [small]far too long ago...[/small]"

Drayven nodded slowly as Laguna asked his question.

"Perhaps you can. I do not know exactly how it is we came to be here, only that it was the result of some spell. We certainly did not come here of our own free will." He looked over Laguna from head to foot for a moment before continuing.
"I suspect that you are not a man who would know the intricacies of such a spell. But perhaps you could tell us precisely where we are."

"And who it was that brought us here." The second soldier added, speaking for the first time. Like Cas'Va, both of the other beings spoke with educated, melodious voices that somehow made the voice of simple humans sound guttural, but they did not share his condescension.

James looked surprised at the affirmation.
"Wait, really? That's... weird. They knew me from somewhere as well." He said, thinking back to the first meeting.

"Yeah, I never did get magic. More of a gun person myself." Laguna put his hands behind his head. "As to the other questions, apparently this place is some kinda arena. There's some kinda system in place so that we just respawn if we die out there and there's pretty good medics, so it's not like we're actually in any danger."

Diana sat frozen as Tophat flodded her mind. After it was done, she went limp and moaned woozily, very nearly falling out of her chair.

Tophat nodded to James, and smirked ever so slightly when it saw Diana going limp.
"Alternate dimensions and the like are very confusing, and it is oftentime best not to think too hard on it. Anyhow, I could use some rest. Good night."
It walked out of the room, leaving a final message to Diana.
(To Diana: I hope you have learned your lesson.)
OoC: I'm off to bed. Night.

Cas'Va whirled around when he heard Laguna's description of the arena fights.

"Are you saying that you and your kind brought us here expecting us to fight and die for your entertainment?!" He demanded furiously. "Do you have any idea what will happen to you for abducting a Lord of the Aldmeri Dominion?" The second soldier glanced at him in annoyance but then turned back to Laguna.

"Cas'Va speaks with some sense for once. What is the meaning of this?" He asked sharply, resting a hand on the hilt of his saw-bladed, one handed sword. Behind them, Drayven simply listened with his piercing eyes fixed on Laguna.

James nodded to Tophat, as he left, and when he began to turn to the discussion between Laguna and the newcomers, he saw Diana begin to slump out of the chair.

"Shit." He hissed, and hurried over to check on her.

Laguna raised both hands defensivley. "Hey, guys, I didn't make this place. Apparently, it's run by some corporation called the Evilington Instutue, so take it up with them. And I don't like being here either, I'm just not seeing a way out."

Eventually, Diana sat up. [sub]"What... accursed magic... was that?!"[/sub] she muttered to herself. When she saw James run over, she waved him off. "I am fine."

OoC: Does James still have redeye?

OOC: @Gear Yeah, sure why not?

Drayven stepped forward slightly and laid his hand on the calmer soldier's shoulder.

"Aethion. Enough." The younger Elf glanced back at Drayven, then nodded briefly and took his hand away from the hilt. Drayven turned his attention to Laguna, ignoring Cas'Va who was still glaring hatefully at Laguna.

"The Evilington Institute?" His eyes seemed once again to bore into Laguna. "Where is this arena located exactly? Is it within Tamriel, or elsewhere?"

James backed off slightly to give Diana her space, watching her carefully.
"Hey, just had to make sure. You don't just ignore a person fainting like that."

Laguna looked at Draven. "I dunno. I think I heard something when I first came here, something about this arena being... inter-diamond-tional?" He was quiet for a second, putting his hand to his chin. "No, that wasn't it..."

"I think it was that man with the hat. It was some sort of vision. It only lasted for a few seconds, but-" Diana looked up at James' face, and jumped back a bit in her seat. "Demon! Beast!" She stood quickly, fire coiling between her fingers.

The three Elves stared at Laguna, waiting for him to come up with the correct term. Drayven appeared to be thinkingabout it, running through the possibilities as to what he meant, while the two soldiers CAs'Va and Aethion simply looked impatient and uncomprehending.

James held out his right hand with his palm outward.

"Hey, hey, calm down!" He ordered. "Put the fire out! What the hell are you shouting about now?"

"Dimentional! I think that was it!" Laguna suddenly exclaimed. "Interdimentional... that means between worlds, right?"

Diana pointed at James, the fire forming a small sun on the tip of her finger as she did so. "You! Your eyes!"

Drayven's expression showed that he understood Laguna's description, though the word interdimensional was lost on him.

"So we have travelled to another plane of existence? Interesting. Very interesting..." He mused. Aethion glanced at him again.

"Another plane of existence? Do you mean like Oblivion? Or Aetherius?" He asked. Cas'Va scoffed.

"Does this look like either Oblivion or Aetherius? Of course not, you idiot. It is a parallel plane to Mundus, not a higher one. Else there would be none of these..." Before he could finish Aethion wheeled around to face him.
"I have heard more than enough out of you today, Squire. I asked the question of my father, not you!"

"Enough!" Drayven suddenly barked, startling them both. Indeed, the thundering command that came from the elegant, slender Elf would have been enough to startle everyone in the room. When he was satisfied that htey were calm he returned his attention to Laguna.

"This Evilington Institute, they have access to such magic?" He asked. "The ability to travel to other planes is yet denied to mortal races. Are you certain that this is the answer?"

"Ah, crap. Sorry about that." James swore, blinking. When his eyes opened they had returned to their original colour, deep blue with a ring of yellow around the pupil. He saw that Diana still had her flames aimed at him and his expression hardened slightly.
Hey, I'm serious. Put the fucking fire out." He repeated.

*THUD, THUD, THUD*

"ARKSABER OF INSARAUM! Surrender and perish!"

"Ma'am, we must get into the underground bunker."

"I am well aware of that statement. I have prepared for this." *Bright lights*

"Last warning before we use a Viral bomb!"

"Ma'am, our time is gone."

"We need allies against this darkness that is to come. Only a few known the nature of these events."

"So we will expose their nations one exploit. We have the armor here."

*CRASH, THUD, BANG*

*PANT, PANT* "And what makes you think these people will agree? What are you praying to? The Spheres?"

"I'm a scientific woman. I believe in no such gods."

"Then what do you believe in?"

*CRASH, BANG... PPPPIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG*

"Misery."

A woman, looking 25 years of age awakens in a dark room. Her hood obscuring her face, she peers around. A low growl from her throat radiates before quieting as she stands. Black eyes dart from one corner to the next, her body low.

Thought wearing a hoodie, her clothing is mismatch of armor plating around her shoulders, shins, and chest. Slowly moving forward, her black hair peaks out from her hood.
