When Diana spoke, one of the two soldiers bristled, while the other glared at her. The first one began to stride towards her.
"Subhuman? What sickness of the mind has taken you, to allow you to speak to your betters so?" He barked, his voice that of the educated upper class, pompous and condescending."Do you not realise that you..."
"Cas'Va." The admonition from the tall, robed being came at barely more than a conversational volume and tone, but the soldier stiffened as though he'd been slapped, then stepped back and faced the taller one.
"Yes, Lord Drayven?" He replied warily.
"I believe we have discussed this matter before, have we not? While you travel as my retainer, we assume that all creatures are our equals until proven otherwise." The taller man said peacefully, yet firmly. The soldier glowered, but bowed his head.
"Yes my Lord. Forgive my transgression." he muttered. The taller figure dismissed the incident with a lazy wave of his hand.
As Laguna approached during this exchange the other soldier turned to face him, staring him down quietly.
