My first play through was a blood bath:p
Lost Jack to a laser collector probe, thane to a steel girder and tali to an engine explosion. Then Garrus took a rocket to the head, Kelly was turned into paste, legion was carried away by seeker swarms and grunt died escorting the survivors back. Took Mordin and Miranda with me leaving Samara to hold the line alone (served her right for not saving legion :()
Quite frankly it was a disaster, if Shepard is humanities only hope i dont fancy its chances in my ME3 playthrough ...

Mine all lived, plus myself. While I don't typically look ahead in choice heavy RPGs, I just couldn't leave a single one. Show you the how good the developers are at creating great character eh?

Lost nobody (the second time, lost Mordin the first) and destroyed the Collector Base.

Call it blind idealism all you want, The Illusive Man cannot be trusted.

First time I went through Samara died during the biotic shield bit. See when Miranda said any biotic could hold the shield, I assumed the game wasn't lying to me and had her do it. Well it turns out only Jack and Samara can actually hold the shield without someone getting killed. So Samara got carted off by the deadly bees, which made me sad because I liked her as a character and I'd been using her throughout the game. Though it did make the fight before the end a lot more emotional, since it was about vengeance!!!

Other than that I've never lost someone. Getting everybody to survive is pretty easy.

Typically hating massive racists isn't considered bad.

I really dont know how I lost four characters. Four!
Judging from your other post you never upgraded the ship, which is guaranteed to result in 3 character deaths.

First play through, everyone survived because I planned carefully. There's no real reason to require a guide...just get 100% loyalty, Kit out your ship and assign roles in a way that makes sense (leaders lead, tech's do tech jobs etc). Simple.

Though there is a "Positive" consequence of running in without planning; That Kate(?) girl survives, the one from the bridge. Otherwise, she gets melted.
Kelly. And actually, it's possible to save her (and the rest of the crew), while still keeping everyone from the main team alive as well. You just have to make sure you've done everyone's loyalty mission (besides Legion's, obviously) before you go and get the Reaper IFF. Then, once you've done that, you have to do Legion's loyalty mission straight away and then go through the Omega 4 Relay right after that.

I lost Thane and Mordin I need to play through again. Although I was kinda disappointed in my team from ME1 I mean seriously the only person that even really gave me the respect I deserved was Wrex and Garrus.

Ash, I should have let that ***** die, Liara has a flimsy excuse to NOT SAVE THE FUCKING GALAXY (her little grudge isn't gunna be around long if Shepard doesn't pull off the impossible you spoiled self important whore)

Also what was up with all the damn AI and mechs everyone is using in ME2. The mechs seem like a real border line kind of thing to me. And yeah the AI for the Normandy is badass but their seemed to be such a universal shift in the use of robots and AI in between games.

On my first playthrough, I lost the entire crew except Dr. Chakwas and my squad mates. On every other playthrough, everyone lived.

I lost jack because I sided with Miranda as I didn't have enough paragon to get then to stop fighting so jack's wasn't loyal to me everyone else survived.

On my first play-through I lost only mordin, who died holding the line. On my second run no one died, not even the crew. It is simple really, upgrade everything and get through the relay as soon as possible (after going on the derelict reaper). I just left Grunt back holding the line, that seemed to help.

I lost Tali because she wasn't loyal to me. Sniped in the head while she tried to close the door.

Also, the crew died. Meh.

First playthrough mordin was killed. I started a new game as soon as the credits were over. Looked online and made sure that I got all the ship upgrades and he still died. Then i read some posts online that said unless you sent him back to the sip with your crew or keep him on your team when you fught the human reaper then he will always die so I loded up an autosave and sent him to the ship and he lived. Alot of effot for one team mate I know but he was the best one!!!!!

Okay, you may have a point there.

The guy I wrote about did establish himself as a bad human being, though. :p

On my first time: no deaths in the team :D . I had everyone loyal and all the upgrades, so that helped A LOT. But I found the final boss a bit to easy, just hit him with the nuclear heavy weapon, and then sprayed his eyes for CRITICAL DAMAGE.
But I got kinda annoyed that I'd been playing paragon the entire way, just to accidentally do the Renegade ending...... whatever, I'm a para-rengon.
