Jacob got shot in the face trying to shut the gate behind us. Shepard was all, "JACOB...! Oh. Well...that sucks, maybe? Meh."

And Thane died holding the line at the end. That wasn't much of a great loss either; I always found him kind of overwrought.

Was I the only one who found it amusing that Tali's ENVIRONMENTAL suit couldn't handle a little bit of heat in some vents? What the heck was the point of that suit?! I imagine it makes even less sense if you send Legion ;)
Was she not loyal? Because she and Legion are the ones you're SUPPOSED to put through the vents, anyone else has a high chance of death.
Oh, she didn't die, just that what with her wearing a completely sealed, closed environment freaking space suit, I would have thought the bare minimum it could cope with would have been a bit of heat.

Though obviously I didn't send anyone else, so maybe it was a bit hotter in there than I was assuming and anybody else would have been parboiled by the time they got to the first door ;)

I only lost Zaeed.
I had his loyalty, and you think the guy who founded a bloody mercenary group would have been a good fire team leader, but NOOOooo.

First playthrough I lost Mordin because I had somehow gotten it in my head he was a tech expert and sent him into the tunnel (bad call). He was the only one to die though, and next playthrough I didn't lose anyone. The choices you have to make are pretty straightforward, unless you're like me and somehow form a completely different idea of a characters specialisation from time to time.

Why are you assuming that what is essentially a biohazard suit would protect against high temperatures? They use those to protect their crippled immune systems, not their harmful allergy to fire.

The real question is how the Reapers saw Terminator 2 and why they thought it was a good idea to make a giant T-1000.

I lost almost everyone on my Renegade run, save Thane, Garrus, and Tali (Legion was sold to Cerbrus this time through). All my other runs I lost no one.

I didn't have anyone die, though Jacob came close (got shot while closing the door or something). Took Tali with me to ensure she would survive. I don't know how you'd lose more than 2 or so people without purposefully trying to get everyone killed.

I managed to save everyone from my first playthrough with a Paragon Male Shepard without using a guide.

Only person that I had die first time through was Miranda, I sent her to escort the crew back to the ship and she wasn't loyal. Didn't know she would die, I was just tired of her talking. Still was completely OK with it.

I think the reasoning behind this was that he was such a selfish jerk he didn't really work well in a team. Heck, his whole loyalty mission is about him putting his personal desires ahead of the group's. He mentions in conversation that when he took down a Turian frigate he was the only one of the five men to make it out, and he was happy about that.

Garrus, on the other hand, seemed like the obvious choice to me. Hell, even Jacob is an experienced soldier who could probably do it.

I misinterpreted the hold the line thing and thought it was about one guy and not a reek leader so I picked Grunt. Stupid me.
I reloaded and lost no one. Except the whole crew but that was intentional because I wanted the mass sergeant to die, racist jackass

Tali got killed mid-fight, thats the only one. If you make sure to get ship upgrades more of your squad lives.

No one died on any of my playthroughs because I am a perfectionist and a lucky son-of-a-*****.

I sacrificed Tali cause I hated that stupid *****. The cool alien scientist (forgot his name, been months) got sniped out or something. That kinda saddened me. I think everyone else survived.
WHA- Hated Tali!? Blasphemy! OT: Everyone survived.

Oh, that one's easy - the T-1000 rocks! Able to beat even the later models, given the right circumstances! Of course, they obviously missed the bit in the first film where a measly human manages to off one but hey, even machines make mistakes sometimes ;) That said, maybe the two universes are linked and the Reapers are, in fact, Skynet? 0.o

Ok, maybe not >_>

Oh, and the suits are labelled as 'environmental suits', which I always assumed were capable of maintaining their environment pretty much anywhere, from planet-side to hard vacuum. I mean, they live in them, so presumably they use them for external repairs to the ships and all (though why they bother pressurising the ships if they can't breath the air does confuse me a bit...). Plus, again, the vent she's in wasn't exactly a furnace, was it? I just thought it was an airvent, lol.

The "bit of heat" could kill the robot too. It was likely enough to melt right through the suit and then burn her to death.
