"I'm still not really sure what happened, but I drank some of Sophia's blood and it hurt me bad. Then She tried to heal me and that hurt me even more." Seras said.

EMily put her right palm to her forehead, still overwhelmed from the recent events. So many questions.
"Oh? Were you hungry for blood? Was that it? How did you regain your health afterwards? And why was Sophia's blood bad?"

<color=purple>"I think Samus got beat up somewhat. My sister and I got hit by some bullets, but we're fine. Yes... I know how strange that sounds. And I think Joel took for cover once that guy swung his large tower as a club to knock us down." That... sounded wrong out of context.

"You took some bullets but are fine?... So are you like one of those combat maids from those Japanese cartoons that one of my squad always talked about?"

"yes, I hadn't eaten in a few days. A man I don't know came in and gave me some of his blood, and I still don't know why it happened."

<color=purple>"You were out for about half an hour by my estimation." She turned to Roland. <color=purple>"I'm not a 'combat maid'. But by clothing, along my sisters', is bullet resistant. All four of us choose to wear it because it's in honor of our time as maids at our father's manor. It's a classic tradition that we stick to, as silly as it may sound. We aren't trained as soldiers, we're trained as scientists with good minds. That's how we've developed all of our techniques in and out of combat."

<color=purple>"What's your name anyways? My name is Gwen. My sister's name is Emily. But we give her the nickname EMily after her electromagnetic skills."

Seras looked a little surprised that EMily felt the need to voice something so obvious. "Yeah, probably..." she said.

<color=purple>"I'm not sure what you mean by 'but with less glasses'. And how did you acquire the name Doom Guy and what's your profession?"

"Oh my apologies, I'm trying to figure this out." She said, catching onto Seras' expression. She lowered her voice to a whisper. "But what I don't get is that why did Sophia's blood not work? The healing thingamajig makes sense."

"I honestly don't know. But, this whole thing got me thinking...if there was a way for me to get stronger, but I had to...give something up...something that was holding me back...should I?" Seras asked, earnestly looking to Emily for advice.

EMily was confused. Her concept of getting stronger was through exercising yourself and working hard to overcome what you want to. However, if whatever it was that was holding Seras back was malicious, then it would seem so that she should strive to get rid of it.
"What is it exactly that's holding you back?"

Seras sighed heavily. "My...humanity...if I were a full vampire, I'd be much stronger, but I'd lose whatever humanity I have left. I've been avoiding it until now, but...I'm just not sure what I should do."

 

[Slenn]

EMily put her hand on Seras' shoulder, despite whatever height she might be.

"Don't ever sacrifice that. I may not be an expert on vampires, but humanity is our greatest strength and its throne is in our minds. I grew stronger because I trained myself and worked hard. Even if I were never gifted with electromagnetic skills, I'd still be working hard in the field of physics. And working hard and getting messy is the only way to get stronger and learn from experience. Don't take the easy way out, it will only lead to disappointment. I also would hate to lose you."

"B-but it's because I'm still human that I almost died just now! I never want that to happen again, Emily. And...I really don't think I can get any stronger by staying...like I am..."

Sundowner said we only had a few hours before something happened."[/color] Roland said to Gwen as he sat up on the bed. He looked over at Doom Guy. [color=01A9DB]"Are you with us, sai?"[/color]

"Why? Because you're hungry? The fact that you are a vampire made you almost die from the healing and what not. And wouldn't becoming a full vampire make you even far hungrier than you are now?"

"As for getting stronger, there are many ways that people can get stronger. Perhaps you need to grow mentally instead of physically. If you really want to overcome starvation, many monks I've seen have overcome their need for hunger by just conserving their energy."

"All the nerds have glasses in the cartoons. And you see I was on this base with just a pistol and had to fight off hell beasts. So I got the nickname Doomed Space Marine and it was eventually shortened to Doom Guy. And I'm part of the corp" He looked at Roland "Do I get to shoot things?"
