Whoever's lucky enough to be the big bad leader can tell the others whatever they wish and that's the law as well. Pharaohs can also convince others that they are sons of gods as well. And similar ideologies are still found in your time as well. Wasn't North Korea like that with its dictator?"

 

[Slenn]

"Are you sure that it won't happen to you? Are you willing to take that chance? And are you sure you've learned everything there is? Don't think you've reached your limit yet, no matter how familiar you are with yourself. I always tell myself that, because the human mind is vast and welcome to many new ideas to come its way. And you're young enough to learn fast."

"Why would a leader make a religion that he knew wasn't real, when he could just as easily rule without religion?"

And think about this for a second... what's more authoritative in concept: a law from a person who came up with it, or a law from a dictator who claims it comes from a godly power? Absolutely no one would question that kind of authority. It would only be until later that people saw through the guise that it was."

"Pretty sure. I'm also pretty sure the bad vampires weren't very good people before they were turned." Seras replied.

"What do you mean by 'bad vampires'? Could you elaborate on that?"

"Nah. It's all cause aliens. The human race isn't that stupid."

"Well, the ones that only care about killing and growing their own power." Seras said.

And for the record, while I do say that humans are really smart, they can also follow leadership very easily without question. And humans can also be stupid enough to follow such a leader. Humans aren't linear creatures. They can be smart and they can be dumb. But we're not unimaginative and stupid enough to have aliens do it for us. We can do it on our own. I rest my case."

"Yeah, I did. But it's heavily encoded. It'll take a few minutes before Photon can decipher the message that's through radio."

Having spent the couple dozens minutes breathing and channeling her psionic energy to heal her wounds, Vicky was finally in a condition where she could walk without causing agonizing pain for herself. She braced herself against the wall as she followed the sound of talking into the cargo bay.

"Yeah I'm fine by the way. Don't everybody drown me with your caring about my well-being or anything."

She muttered as she walked into the room, rubbing her throat with one hand.

"Pfft! I survived going through hell and you don't see me complaining." He said to Victoria.

"If you think that is the right choice, then I sorely disagree with you."

"Why? Do you have something against vampires?" Seras asked, getting a little defensive.

"Hey, I've got an idea! Why don't we pour acid down [i]your[/i] throat and see how fast [i]you[/i] get back up? Because that sounds like a fun time to me."

Victoria sneered back at Doom Guy.
