Samus drew the Paralyser, knowing it wouldn't do much but just feeling comfortable with a weapon in her hand, pointing it at the Shadow. "I don't know. I blacked out after I had gone to the bounty store, and then I woke up here with this impost-"
"I am not an imposter!" The Shadow roared, switching back to angry mode. "I'm you!"
Samus' aim faltered for a second. "What?"
"I know what you're thinking. You just want to get away from here, go back to your friends, right? Why do you want to doom them like that?!" The Shadow was near angry tears, sounding more like a jilted ex than a threat.

 

[Chungus]

"Are you certain she has not returned of her own will" Yeul asked, looking up to Gwen. "She may have befallen the same fate as this Seras, and possibly Samus. Three disappearances in but the span of a day, it is unlikely to be coincidence." She added, then paused for a moment. "In fact, I have not seen the two people who had that quarrel since then, either."

"Could something be targeting us?" Caius asked upon hearing Yeul's comment, looking form her, to Gwen. "Has this group any enemies?"

[color=003399]"It seems almost like we're being targeted... except maybe Vicky. I think she just really wanted some alone time."[/color] Joel said, almost at the same time as Caius.

"She left..?" Sophia sounding a saddened, her head drooping a little. "I was dealing with Hans that whole time..." She said quietly. 'She was there too when I yelled at everyone there right? She didn't take offence to that did she?'

Hearing the rest of the responses, Sophia shivered slightly. "I really hope you are all wrong, and it's just a sting of coincidences..."

 

[Chungus]

"Let's not start shouting at each other, all right? We couldn't really resolve this if everyone starts getting angry, right?" said Seras,. She was confident she could react and move quick enough to get Samus out of the way if the Shadow attacked, but preferred to avoid conflict altogether.

She moved position a little, stepping a few paces to the right, more in Samus' field of vision, and out of Shadow Samus', although she was still well within Shadow Samus' sight. As she moved, Seras looked around for an exit, and for a means to get the platform the Samuses were standing on down. "'Doom her friends'? What do you mean by that?" She asked Shadow Samus, largely to keep her busy.

 

[Slenn]

<color=purple>"Let's bide our time going downtown while we wait." Gwen proceeded to move, but a bit slowly so that others could still be under her water repeller.

 

[Chungus]

"How much further is it?" Yeul asked after giving a single, small nod.

Caius wasn't very pleased to not have recieved an answer to his question, wanting to know just being with the group was putting Yeul in danger. As such, he decided to press the matter, "Does this group have any enemies?" he repeated, now not addressing anyone in particular. "I gather stopping the company of warlords would not have pleased some people."

 

[Demonjazz]

Eric went outside making a force field around himself to block out the rain. Which was done by holding up his shield "At least this place isn't as bad as The Realm. I rained for a year over there once."

 

[Slenn]

<color=purple>"It's just a block or so away."

The platform was low enough that anyone could jump on or off it, though it would be a bit of a jump. There were no visible controls in the room.

"What, you mean you don't know?" Shadow Samus told Seras. She pointed at Samus accusingly. "Everyone and everything that gets near her dies."
"That is not true." Samus said, tightening the grip on her gun, focusing solely on her Shadow.
"Oh, don't bullshit me." The Shadow replied, her voice rising in volume and anger as she talked. "You're bad luck incarnate. Remember your parents?"
"Stop that..." Samus said, staring to get angry.
"The Chozo?"
"Stop that." Samus repeated.
"The other hunters?"
"Stop it!" Samus started to sound a bit hysterical, her aim shaking.
"The baby? Zebes? Adam?!"
"STOP!" Samus screeched, switching her Paralyser to whip mode and slashing at her Shadow, who jumped off the platform to dodge it, landing next to Seras.
"And now you're inflicting it on someone else!" The Shadow stood between Samus and Seras, as if to protect the vampire from the bounty hunter. "Why do you keep going on, know everything you touch will burn?! Why don't you just end it?!" The Shadow spat, absolutely furious with her other self.

 

[Zepherus14]

"Other than those warlord guys we stopped, I can't think of anybody else, but we put a stop to them already though?" Sophia responded to Caius. "Otherwise... I can't think of anyone else."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

When Shadow Samus jumped down, Teddie backed further away from her, trembling with fear.

 

[Chungus]

"It is not uncommon for multiple parties to have an interest in war." Caius stated, looking down to Sophia. "Furthermore, I have heard mention of mermen. It was said a treaty was made with the, but that does not rule out the possibility of them merely pretending to capitulate."

Yeul gave a silent response to Gwen as she walked along. She didn't chime in on what Caius was saying, having nothing to say that wasn't being said already.

"That's enough!" Seras exclaimed as the situation escalated, despite her best efforts. With Shadow Samus only verbally being the aggressor, she didn't see the need to attack her, only leaping over her, onto the platform. There, she reached for of the wrist in which Samus held the Paralyzer with normal speed, aiming to take hold of it.

Whether successful or not, unless Samus continued to engage her shadow self, she would look to Teddie, and say; "Alright, get us out of here."

 

[Zepherus14]

"Right, the mermen!" Sophia nodded, before looking a bit conflicted. "I don't think they would be behind it either, they seemed much more natural than anything. I doubt they would work with something like a tv." Sophia commented. unsure if that was a good enough answer, but felt it was the best she had.

(Who wants to just skip ahead to the store with the umbrellas)

 

[Demonjazz]

"So what's with the anti-gravity stuff? That some of the future tech stuff that they made for maids so that their outfits don't get wet or something?"

 

[Slenn]

"They were more ritualistic and tribal than anything. Powerful, but didn't know a thing about human technology."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus took a second to calm down, then looked at Seras. "She... It..."
"Oh just admit it! I know that's what you want to do! I am you after all..." The Shadow taunted.
"No! That's not... You're not me!" Samus shouted at her Shadow, tearing herself from Seras' grip. The world seemed to stop as she yelled that, the Shadow smiling slightly.
"Yes... That's what I've been waiting for!" The Shadow started laughing as her smokey aura turned black and red, growing until it enveloped her whole body. Samus fell to one knee, clutching her head, then fell on her side, knocked out. The mass of black and red kept growing, something underneath it changing.

Seras checked Samus' vitals after she fell to the ground. She decided this was the priority.

"Watch out! The Shadow is getting stronger!" Teddie yelled, as he moved further away from Shadow Samus.

Samus was still alive, but would not wake up no matter what Seras did.

The red and black mass eventually dispersed, revealing a tall, shadowy humanoid being, floating off the ground and clad in armour resembling bird bones and stone. The being hefted a large bladed wing instead of an arm. "I am a shadow... The true self... I shall put and end to this miserable woman's life, just as she wishes! She will cause no more pain, and if you stand in my way, I must be rid of you too!" It was Shadow Samus. The Shadow charged, flying through the air, swinging the wing at Seras.
