With Shadow Samus felled, Seras blew an artificial sigh, switching off her HF blade, and tugging it whereever she was keeping the thing. She looked to the object that seemed to linger in the black of miasma for a moment, until she noticed Samus stirring. Rushing over, Seras knelt down besides Samus, and placed the hand of her unjured arm on Samus' shoulder, shaking her slightly. "Samus? Samus? Can you hear me?"

"If you are adamant on not wearing any boots, I would not aim to convince you to do otherwise. However to procure a means to shield your skin from the rain, then leaving parts of yourself exposed so; it seems counter-productive." Caius stated, uncrossing his arms and moving by a few steps.
When he heard Winona squee in the distance, he glanced towards the direction he heard the noise from.

Yeul looked to Caius as he spoke, then back to Sophia when e finished speaking. "Why is that?" She asked.

Samus got up groggily, looking at Seras. "Seras? What..."

The smog dispersed, revealing Shadow Samus' human form, huddled on the ground in a fetal position and whimpering slightly.

 

[Chungus]

"Samus, you're okay! We--" Seras responded to Samus, but cut herself short as she saw the Shadow Samus laying on the ground from her peripheral vision. Standing up, Seras bolted for the shotgun, not wanting to give the Shadow anything to arm herself with.

Picking up the shotgun, Seras aimed it at Shadow Samus, finger on the trigger. "Don't you move!" She exclaimed, while wondering how the Shadow could still be alive when she was certain she killed it just before.

Shadow Samus seemed to not notice Seras was there, looking borderline catatonic. Samus stood, looking at her double. "What it said... It can't..."

 

[Slenn]

<color=green>"Awww... this one looks almost like mine back at home. So adorable."

"Can't what?" Seras asked Samus as she aimed at the shadow.

 

[Zepherus14]

"It's just..." Sophia said, feeling a bit awkward with Caius chastising her like a child."They all make walking uncomfortable and restrictive, I can't stand it." She said, struggling to come up with a valid reason for why she disliked footwear, but at a loss of how to describe it in a way that conveyed what she herself felt.

"I've never talked about what it said with anyone. There's no way it could have known. And yet..." Samus looked worried, unsure of what to do next.

 

[Slenn]

EMily and Gwen both made their own versions of saying 'huh' as Sophia relayed her explanation as to why she didn't like to wear shoes.

"Uh, well...I guess...it's up to you?" Seras said to Samus.

Teddie ran over to Samus, Seras, watching the Shadow warily.

Easily amused, it seems. Caius thought as he looked to Winona for a bit longer, then turned her gaze back to Yeul.

"I see. I do not truly understand as I have no such issue, but if you are more comfortable this way, I see little reason to change now." Yeul responded, giving a small nod, then paused for a moment to indcicate a change in subject. "Are we finished here? I would still like to get a change of clothes before heading back to the airship."

Samus glanced over at Teddie. "What... Who are you?" Though she asked the question, her focus was still clearly on her Shadow.

"I'm Teddie. I tracked you down, when Seras was thrown in here." Teddie explained.

 

[Zepherus14]

"I was hoping to get some wood lacquer... but we can do that another time if everyone wants to head back now." Sophia answered, feeling a bit relieved now that the subject had been switched. Her tail still being fairly soaked meant it had no chance of fluffing up in this instance.

"Are you done over there too?" She asked EMily and Gwen.

"Samus, can you focus? Should I...finish the shadow off?" Seras asked.

Teddie looked at Seras and said, "You can't kill it. It's a part of her, just like that thing you summoned."[/color

"Thank you." Samus said quietly to Teddie, before refocusing on her Shadow. "No. It's not attacking us anymore." She walked a bit closer to the Shadow, motioning to Seras to back off, before turning to Teddie again. "What? So when it said it was me..."

"But Samus..." Seras said as she saw Samus walk toward the shadow.

"It's being made by your mind." Teddie stated.
