Vicky was about to do something, but the strong odor of chocolate finally got her, so she just sat down and tried not to vomit for a while.

<color=purple>Is Vicky... gagging? "What's wrong? You look like you're about to hurl." Gwen said to Vicky, hinting at a bit of concern.

Seeing Victoria sit down, Yeul glanced from Sophia, to her, and back a few times, before finally fixing her gaze on Victoria. Approaching Victoria, Yeul stopped at her side, leaning forward, placing her hands on her knees as she did. "What is wrong? You look ill." She asked, speaking with a neutral tone, but with concern vaguely vissible on her face.

The Chaos Space Marine noticed Caius's attention, in addition to his obvious warrior's bearing. He gave him a curt nod, eyes still flickering from him to Hans and only devoting a cursory inspection to the others.

"An entertaining congregation." He remarked passively. "I take it that this is a... private, enterprise as opposed to a military detachment?"

Pirates perhaps? No, salvagers, more likely. Most hardly seem to pass muster even as the most motley collection of brigands. But what of the Emperor's lapdog?

After Victoria explained what was wrong, Yeul gave a single nod in agreement that the smell was overpowering, and suggested to head back into a pat of the ship where the smell wasn't as pugnant. Victoria accepted, and stood up. Together with Yeul, she headed to the cockpit and sat down on the floor, against a wall there.

"Call it a comunity of people who find themselves in the same situation." Caius answered the Chaos Marine. After casting a last glance at the Marine, Caius followed his charge and Victoria into the cockpit.

As Caius walked away, the Chaos Marine might take notice of the bizzare sword [http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120203022218/finalfantasy/images/f/f4/FFXIII-2_Caius%27s_Sword.jpg] on Caius' back, it looking twisted enough that it could be mistaken for being demonic in origin.

Samus might remember what the knights had said about females being more effected by Sophia's influence and come up with a reason why Sophia was reluctant to have Samus close by based on that.

Having been let go by Hans, Sophia slowly got to her feet, although she was still looking scared. One arm was wrapped around her waist while she bit the nail of the other. "I-I-I can't go back in there with you guys." She trembled, shaking her head. "I just can't."

The Chaos Space Marine acknowledged Caius's sparse answer with an unctuous smile.
"Ah, very well. Perhaps some clarification can be given on that situation, once there is time." He eyed the sword as Caius turned away, admiring the appearance of the weapon, before finally turning his attention back to the group, and sparing Sophia some more attention.

"So, what befell the little one? She looks as though she has had... quite a shock."

Hans nodded, rubbing his mask and shifting it slightly to relieve pressure from the bruise. "I will prep the Valkyrie for launch. No point in staying here, if the enemy knows the position. Retreat, rearm, prepare for the coming fight." he looked to his vessel, locked in thought, and his mask's eyepieces passed over the chaos space marine. "Give a list of what you'd like to collect from your room, and find a spot on the Valk-"

His body shook as his mind caught up with what his eyes had seen. He turned, staring at the behemoth that stood in clear transgressions with everything right in the world. Stiffly, he walked to his Valkyrie, his entire body rigid.

The Chaos Space Marine's eyes followed Hans as he turned his back and marched off, quiet and icy cold.
Very wise, whelp. Very wise indeed...

Samus remembered what the knights said. Though she wasn't exactly trusting of a group of strangers chasing a friend of hers, her brain connected the dots. She stepped back further, trying to get out of the chocolate aroma.

"R-right." She looked at the rest of the others, feeling quite small. "I-I just need my bag. B-but one of the guys should do that." Sophia gulped, her mouth quite dry, and her tail fluffed to maximum fluffiness.

When entering Sophia's room, they would find her bag, as well as a sheathed dagger on the mess of blankets she presumably used as a bed. The dagger itself didn't have too much in the way of fanciness to it, but it was well made, and above average quality.

Thinking for a second, Samus discarded her coat, letting it fall to the ground. With the garment out of the way, she activated her Varia suit in a golden flash. Checking that it was all airtight, she shut off all the outside vents. No air or sound could get in. Hopefully free from the chocolate scent, and with the air scrubbers in her suit quickly ridding the suit's internal atmosphere of it, she slowly walked over to Sophia, scanning her to figure out what was going on.

Once inside his Valkyrie, Hans marched to the weapon he'd so lovingly repaired before Sophia as he walked, his mind raged as the cultural sin of betraying the emperor screamed to him. His mind quickly began asking itself, over and over, how much Krieg's betrayal had cost the imperium. With his weapon, he marched outside.

Failing to obtain an answer, the Chaos Space Marine ground his teeth slightly. He was unused to anything less than frenzied supplication when he chose to address a mortal, or indeed, many of his own brothers, and with good reason. Still, he was adept at dealing with the lesser beings, and elected to let them respond in their own time for now. Rather than delivering harsh discipline for their impudence, he stood idle and observed the armoured female's ministrations over her more slight comrade, waiting to see what she was capable of.

<color=purple>Wait a minute. Haven't I seen that armor before? Yeah! Those were the Chaos Marines that EMily encountered years ago. I gotta try asking him a few questions. Gwen bravely walked towards the Space Marine with good poise. <color=purple>"Pardon me. Might I ask who you are?"

You soar out of the hangar pit and set a course west. You use you afterburners frequently, shooting away at incredible speeds. You see occasional streaks of orange over the windscreen, and decide not to go any faster than that. Your approximate arrival time is in one hour, and you hope that the others can hold off any attackers until you arrive.

The scan would result in finding that other than Sophia being highly fatigued, and her heart rate being significantly higher than a humans would normally be, nothing seemed out of the ordinary with Sophia. The way her heart seemed to respond to this high rate however seemed to indicate Sophia's heart was used to a higher rate than humans normally. The scan would also result in a high metabolism, lack of heat resistance, trouble viewing far away objects, but high flexibility and above average strength.

The scan would also conclude that there was something in the air, and although it didn't mention a chocolate smell, it did mention a high likelihood for the substance in the air to be flammable. One conclusion however would be it wasn't run of the mill chocolate, and it was coming from Sophia, but the scan would be inconclusive as to how it was being produced.

[hr]

"What are you doing?" Sophia asked, staring at Samus hesitantly, taking a step back as she was unsure why Samus had activated her armour.

OOC: @Slenn: Actually, EMily won't have seen anything like what this guy is wearing. She's seen the usual power armour, whereas he is in Terminator armour, the heaviest infantry armour in the 40K universe. It looks like this:

The Chaos Space Marine blinked as his attention was drawn, and he glanced down at Gwen.
"Certainly." He replied with a disarming smile, which was capable of affecting most women with as much compelling power as Sophia's chocolate scent. "I am the Apostle Proditus Cappellanum of the Word Bearers. And who might you be, little one?"

OOC: @Random. I was going off of your avatar for reference. At least what you just showed me would be recognizable enough to say "Hey! It's one of those space marine guys!"

<color=purple>I probably shouldn't mention that his armor looks familiar just yet. She put her right hand on her chest, looking up at the towering mass. <color=purple>"I am Gwen Mason. A scientist and a user of the gravitational force." She bowed her head. <color=purple>"Might I ask what your profession is?"

Samus saved the information to her logbook, then walked over to Sophia. She faced the ferret girl, depolarising her visor to give her a reassuring smile. She pressed something on her helmet, activating a microphone and speaker, allowing her to talk and listen without opening the vents and being exposed to the chocolate smell. "This suit has vents and filters. I can be near you without being exposed to that chocolate smell you give off." She outstretched her free, albeit gauntleted, hand.
