Having only swung in a small arc, Sam was able to recover quickly. He saw Victoria lunge herself at him, and while he had the reflexes to respond, he didn't, standing where he was and alowing his forcefield to take care of it. When Victoria made contact with Sam, her blow was stopped by the forcefield, it absorbing the kinetic energy. A split second after this, the stored energy was fired back at Victoria in the form of an electrical discharge.

Not being locked on to by the Sworder and having its attention on Victoria, Elm wasn't alerted of being targeted until the shots were fired. As it circled around Victoria and Sam with the momentum it recieved from the jet engine, Elm was able to evade the majority of blaster fire. Although one shot grazed passed it, and one shot hitting full on, punching a hole in the jet-bike's armour, but doing not causing signifficant damage. Aside from the shot disipating once it hit home, there wasn't anything indicating the jet-bike was struck, the cloaking field staying up, uninterupted. imediately after being hit, the jet-bike's auto-repair program began kicking in, repairing the hole quickly, although not fully just yet.

In response, Elm shut down the cloaking field, and began descending towards the ground, dropping a little over 500 meters. It took Elm a brief moment to adjust the targeting system for its change in altitude and Victoria's change in position, but this didn't take long. With its targeting of Victoria complete, Elm fired the twin 12000 watt lasers at Victoria, targeting her upper back at an angle where the beams would exit through the upper abdomen, while avoiding the heart and lungs. If Victoria landed on her back, the reverse would be targeted, the beams entering through the upper abdomen, and exiting through the upperback.

Unless Victoria had a means to block the beams, they would hit with pin-point precision.

Sam chuckled to himself as Victoria was thrown off by his forcefield, and assumed a defensive stance again in the time Elm fired at Victoria. He looked up to the Sworder, raising his sword towards it with a straightened arm, then pressed the button at the side of the hilt. The laser beam was stopped momentarily, wherein the stopping point in the tip was moved 90 degrees to the side. After this, the beam was fired up again. Using the now horizontal tip of the blade to aim, Sam aimed the laser beam towards the windshield of the Sworder, although his aim wasn't the greatest.

The sisters leaped as best they could with Gwen channeling a reduced gravity field to ease their jumping.
<color=purple>"I'm picking up an extra mass above Vicky and our target. It feels like a mass of a bike."
"It must be that bike we saw before."

<color=purple>"That must mean our special spy is around us and is fighting Vicky."

When they arrived at the sight, Gwen assisted Vicky with a gravity field to get her back on her feet.

EMily and Winona had to stand by for more energy to come their way. As the only way to puncture through their armor is if she had an industrial laser. But EMily felt a bolt of lightning charging, so she created a lightning rod out of her hand by summoning electric charge of the opposite sign. Something like a Van De Graff generator. She hoped that she would make it in time so that the lightning's path would be altered.

You target the bike, levelling out at roughly the same altitude that it has. You also nearly cut engine thrust, letting the atmosphere slow you down as you open fire. Over the course of four seconds you fire sixteen much more accurate blaster bolts along with four radar missiles. You notice by a flashing display that something relatively low-power is hitting the underside of your ship, but only chuckle as your shields go down to 95%.

As Vicky hit the barrier, she was paralyzed by the sudden burst of electricity that coursed through her body. Being completely helpless, Elm's laser hit her directly in both shoulders, carving out large, bloody holes. Vicky didn't show any signs of getting back up anytime soon.

After recieving the first hit of the blaster fire, Elm was more cautious of the Sworder, being mindful of what it was doing. Noting it was indeed being targeted again, Elm activated the jet-bike's cloaking field again, primarily doing this to have an easier time of throwing off the guided fire. Moving out of the way of the missile's trajectory, and moving in sharp turns, knives and barrel rolls, Elm also evaded nine shots of the blaster fire. The remaining seven shots still struck, however, Elm was suprised to find them being filtered out by its cloaking field.

After a difusing a four rounds, however, the device reponsible for generating the cloaking field shorted out, build for being compact, rather then deflecting large amounts of high-energy waves for an extended period of of time. Thus, the jet-bike was struck by the final three blaster rounds. One hit the glass dome, and punched straight through, while others hit its armour on the right-hand side.

The auto-repair program finishing repairing the first hole in its armour, it repaired the shorted out cloaking generator, finishing this quickly due to the minimal extend of the damage. They then began repairing the latest two blaster holes. While the damage was being repaired, Elm raised the jet-bike's invissible barrier.

Seeing the laser beam from its rifle didn't do any damage what-so-ever to the Sworder, Sam shrugged to himself, and pressed the button to position the tip of the blade back to its original place, deciding on that trying to damage the sworder not being worth the effort. Looking back to Victoria, Sam saw her drop down, and remain unmoving. [color=edc393]"She's down."[/color] He said over the radio to Elm.

"Then prepare for extraction." It responded as it flew the jet-bike, lowering its altitude more. It began preperations for opening a portal.

[color=edc393]"Got it."[/color] Moving closer to Victoria to dissuade the Sworder from opening fire on him, then turned towards the approaching sisters, assuming a defensive stance. [color=edc393]"You should probably hurry up with that, though."[/color]

 

[Kirke]

You open up another barrage, this one consisting of twenty blaster shots and five missiles over the course of five seconds. You pick up on an energy build-up in the bike, recognizing it from the last time the bike escaped from you. This time he is not getting away.

EMily motioned for the sister to move at opposite ends of the fight, with Gwen and Winona in putting themselves in front view of Sam.

Gwen heaved up some rocks the size of textbooks and hurled them at Sam's front center mass. Winona stood by Gwen, ready to pummel Sam with Z0 knockbacks if he got close. EMily fired a barrage of 3 lightning bolts at the back of Sam.

OOC: Figured one bolt would be worth 5 energy. They gain 10 per round, and I don't know if we're on the fence about the whole lightning rod thing.

Samus arrived at the scene, seeing Sam near Victoria. She cast out the energy grapple, trying to draw him away from her, while charging a plamsa blast with her canon.

Noting the Sworder locking on to it again, Elm fired up the jet-bike's jet engine, and switched out the barrier for its cloaking field, throwing the missiles off. With the Sworder's blaster fire now also relying on computer targeting, Elm was able to evade the majority of the blaster fire once the jet-engine ignited. The first three shots struck before it could move completely from where the Sworder was targeting, but these shots where difused by the cloak. Noting that after evading the start of the volley, shots were stillming homing in on it, following the heat trail left by the jet engine, Elm switched it off, using the primary propulsion system to dive downwards.

With the power build up and the coordinates set, Elm opened a portal a few paces behind Sam. When the portal was opened, Elm switched its cloaking field back for the barrier, and fired its laser beams at Samus and the Mason sisters to cover Sam's retreat. It didn't lock on to any of them, only sweeping the beams across their positions with high, but not pinpoint accuracy. "Extraction is behind you. Take the woman, and fall back." It instructed Sam over the radio.

Keeping his eyes on the sisters, Sam watched their movements carefully. Seeing Gwen lift and hurl the boulders at him, Sam evaded them by sidestepping and twisting his body where necesarry, deflecting the last one launched at him with his sword, that didn't bend upon taking the hit. This, however, didn't leave him in a position to intercept EMily's lightning bolts. Being struck by the first two, Sam's forcefield flickered, then gave out, absorbing more energy then it could handle.

Sam was struck directly by the third lightning bolt, but didn't show much damage, other then a scorchmark where it struck, the suit being equiped with surge supressors that were more potent then those in the sword, to prevent it from overloading. The laser of the sword flickered for a moment due to the EMP that came with the bolt, but it remained in working order.

His suit still fully functional and noting Samus' arival, Sam waited for her to aim the grappel at him, waiting for the right moment, then dodged when she pulled the trigger, doing so by sidestepping back to his original position and twisting his body more.

With blinding speed, Sam sheathed his sword, and reached for the downed Victoria's throat. Lifting her up, Sam held her close to himself, using her as a meatshield. Now moving at a normal walking speed so to not trip over Victoria's dangling legs or tail, Sam began moving backwards towards the portal.

 

[Slenn]

The sisters dispersed themselves away from the laser fire, but moved to get into a more advantageous spot.

EMily stood behind a tree to conserve energy as a lightning bolt would surely electrocute Vicky.

Gwen moved farther backwards and pulled on Sam and Victoria away from the portal with 3 g's worth of tugging.

Winona slipped into the green foliage, hoping to get behind or next to Sam while Gwen was pulling on him. She summoned her Z0 hammer and leaped up from the greenery to deliver a basic Z0 punch. It's invisible, but it would feel like the same impact as if he were falling onto a bed mattress.

Samus advanced slowly, letting the charged energy ball vanish, as it would hit Victoria too. She lowered her cannon so as not to spook Sam, waiting for her moment, but was forced to jump out of the way when Elm ran it's lasers across the group, just barely dodging it as her boot thrusters flared.

Joel brought out the blade in his left forearm as he charged towards Sam, having taken a little longer to arrive due by circling around. This meant that, when he moved towards Sam, Joel was coming in from behind. [color=003399]"Stop right there, or I'll hack your legs off."[/color] he ordered, his hands on the Murasama and it's sheath's trigger.

 

[Kirke]

You are continually frustrated by your foe and though you do know its position, you do not dare open fire. At this angle, the missing shots would rain down on your friends. With a sigh you bring your own ship down to land, hoping the others will be able to stop "Silence".

 

[Chungus]

Hearing Joel's voice behind him, Sam stopped his approach, and looked over his shoulder, looking towards Joel as he considdered his options. On one hand, Sam knew full well what the Muramasa was capable of, and with the forcefield generator shorted out, he had nothing to defend against it. On the other hand, the portal was close by now, and he knew he could easily out-run Joel. There was also to considder that Joel could follow Sam through the portal, even if he reached it.

Pressing against Victoria's chest with his upper arm to keep her in place, Sam was about to reach for the button on the side of his helmet to unmute it, when Gwen pulled at him with the gravity tug. While able to hold on to Victoria and remain upright by moving the positioning of his feet and bending through his knees, Sam was pulled further away from the portal, decreasing the chances of him getting through successfully. In response to this, he tightened his hold on Victoria, but not so much it would cut off her windpipe.

His eyes going back and forth between Joel, the Masons and Samus, and now to the approaching Shara and focusing on them, Sam didn't notice Winona jumping out of the foliage until it was too late. This alowed Winona to land a blow on Sam's right side. While he didn't feel it, it did make him stumble, and loosen his grip on Victoria a little. Having only the one arm, Sam was in no position to counter-attack anyone.

Noticing Sam was almost surrounded, with access from the portal cut off, Elm calculated what would maximise the chances of it and Sam escaping. It considdered closing the current portal and opening a new one besides Sam, but decided against this, as building up the power to do so would take too long. Instead, it closed the current portal, and lowered itself closer towards Sam.

"Parley!" It called out, shutting down its cloaking field would it descending, revealing its position to be to Sam's right, albeit far away, and still relatively high up. "Your friend is still breathing, but needs imediate medical attention. We can get her to a doctor. However, attack either me or my ascociate now, and either he would snap her neck, or I will shoot her." As it spoke, Elm began to lock on to Victoria again, to make true on its claim if needed.

Sam glanced up towards Elm, not happy to hear he was expected to kill a defenceless combatant.

 

[Slenn]

"And just who might you be? And what do you two want to do with Victoria after you've healed her?" EMily said towards Elm, not wanting to fool around.

Sophia had hesitated when she heard the boom, watching as the group left to whatever unknown threat had presented itself. Hearing the conflict rather far away compared to what had happened with the knights previously. She stepped outside hesitantly with her glasses, looking around and surprised not to see anyone in the immediate view, but a decent distance away.

By the time she'd finally gotten over to the others, the events prior had already transpired. "Victoria." She breathed, hearing what Elm had just now said. "Just let her go, don't hurt her."

Samus did nothing, waiting silently for the talk to finish, looking between Elm, Victoria and her teammates.

 

[Kirke]

You set down roughly twenty metres away from the others, and run outside with your blaster drawn. Seeing the situation, you keep your blaster lowered, but you close your eyes and let your sixth sense open.

 

[Chungus]

"My designated name is Elm. The intent behind the abduction was and still is to keep her hostage, to be used as a factor in disuading further confrontations between your group, and my ascociate and myself. She wouldn't be harmed as long as we are not." Elm answered EMily as it continued descending, now locking on to Victoria, almost garuanteeing hitting true if it needed to fire. "If the point was killing her, it would've been done already. However, she is losing a lot of blood, and you don't have much time to decide her fate before it's too late to make a choice, as such."

Sam silently stood by, returning his gaze to the group, looking between each member present. Reading Sam's weaves, Shara would find Sam was tensed and slightly irritated. He didn't have the intent to kill Victoria, himself, but he knew he had no choice.
