"I've never heard of Drangleic, so I can't say for sure. But there's spiders, dingoes, kangaroos, magpies, drop bears and all sorts of other stuff." Matilda said, grinning slightly.
Joanna shuddered. "And I know nothing of most of those creatures, except for the spiders. They are not the most dangerous creatures I had to fight, nor even the largest. Most were only as long as I am tall. But something about the way they scuttle... ugh." As Pauling passed her, she listened and nodded uncertainly.
"Water. That sounds... much better." She groaned quietly and slumped into her seat. She didn't even bother to glare at the Sniper.
<color=green>"It's true! I saw it in a museum. The sample they had smelled like bacon. According to history it was a phased out prototype as people began to avoid the smell of bacon."
<color=purple>"Well, they didn't have ferret-girls in mind when they made this stuff. But it is a chemical whose stickiness is activated by an electrical current. You see..."
"I think that's enough for right now." EMily chuckled.
"You do realize that you can just shout coordinates from the other room. You do not need to come in here and track your organic filth all around in here. How do you guys live knowing all that dead skin you track around everywhere?"
I lit up a cigarette and sat next to the Australian gunman. Didn't really have much else to do and conversation got my mind off of everything
"Say, what brings you to this little group of freaks we have going on."
Seras walked over to Steve and tried to talk to him quietly. "[sub]I'm not so sure about these mercenaries. They don't seem...stable...[/sub]" she said as she stared at Sniper very unsubtly.
"We're getting to that, Sniper. Robot pilot guy, bring us to the submarine team!"
Suddenly, a loud roar sounded out from the direction that the group had driven in.
"Hmm. All this noise has brought us bears' attention."
"... Next time you don't call me by my name! I am going to set this thing on autopilot into the sun and leave you on it! I can live if this thing crashes, you can't. The name is Dave and don't forget it!!" The robot said easily lifting Pauling up by the collar and throwing her. Not enough to damage her past bruises and scrapes but enough to get the point across.
"Really. I'm here cause I have nothing better to do. Somehow got teleported to this world... Apparently I'm the only one who isn't hopelessly optimistic here.
The loudness of the bear roar coupled with Sophia's hearing made her jump from being startled, hitting the back of her head on the door frame of the car. "OW!!" She yelped, trying to see what was coming as she rubbed the back of her head.
Seeing the shape of the bear drawing closer, Sophia squinted her eyes, her eyesight not good enough to make out the details. "Umm..." Sophia began, stopping rubbing the back of her head, and pointing towards the bear with the same hand. "Is that something we should be worried about?" She questioned, addressing no one in particular.
Joel stepped out of the car and placed his left hand on the grip of the Murasama, with his right hand on the sheath's trigger. "Probably." he said to Sophia, moving directly in front of the bear.
The bear roared again as it charged full speed at Joel, attempting to swipe his face off with its claws.
One timeskip later, in Australia...
By Miss Pauling's instructions, Dave landed the ship at some beach somewhere, with the mercenaries waiting in the submarine just offshore. "Alright everyone, the sub is just offshore! Let's get in it before Grey Mann realizes we're here!" Miss Pauling instructed everyone as the door to the ship opened.
