"Whooosh." Sam responded to Shara, moving his free arm in an arc over her head. "There goes the joke, right over your head." Lowering his arm, he turned towards the exit of the Sworder's airlock, lightly tapping on the hilt of his sword with his thumb. "But, really. Lots of this stuff is fancy from my point of view, glowy bits or n--"
"If we could focus our attention on the objective?" Elm interjected, unmoving.
Sam shrugged while blowing a mute sigh, his head cocked to the side, slightly. Once Shara set a radio frequency, both Sam and Elm tuned in on it, and after testing the communications, stood by while the airlock decompressed.
Once the hatch opened, Sam began floating up, his suit not designed with zero gravity environments in mind, lacked magnetic boots. "Well... this isn't what I expected this to be like." Sam stated looking down to the ground, noticeably taken aback by the weightlessness.
"Push yourself along on a surface, and mind the force with which you do." Elm responded, floating over to the exterior hatch of the ship, and looked it over.
The airlock was cylindrical in shape, and large enough for the whole boarding party to enter. It would be a little cramped, but not claustrophobically so. On the left hand side of the hatch was a handle, in the form of half a sphere, with a smooth surface, and being 16 centimetres across. The handle was clearly not designed for human hands, although could possible be operated by taking hold of it with both hands. A groove in the hatch below the handle suggested the handle needed to be pulled downwards.
